Went to purchase internet service thru Clear. I purchased the "Home Modem". They signed me up with Clears "On the Go" service. I questioned this while they were setting it up and another staff member said, "Well, since you can take this modem anywhere and plug it in... its considered On the Go". It still didnt seem right, but what do I know. There was no Clear rep there and I figured they knew what they were doing. I signed a contract, purchased the modem, and went home to hook everything up. Set up was easy, connected it to our wireless router, and were off... right? Well, sort of. This internet was as slow as dial up back in the late 1990s! I couldnt believe it. I called Clear and they said I had a cell tower a mile from my house. I put this modem in every room trying to get a better connection and nothing helped. I called Clear back and they let me out of my contract and refunded me for the first months service that I paid when I signed up. Now the fun part... I tried to return the modem to Best Buy and they would not take it back. They said I had to return it to Clear. Wonderful. I go to the car and call Clear from my cell phone. They told me that they cannot do the return because I didnt purchase it from them, I purchased it thru Best Buy & they should do the refund. I go back into the store and ask for a manager. He refused the return. I thru a fit and he said he would contact Clear for us. After standing around forever he comes back to tell me they do not have a Clear rep. I made him call other stores to find one and he said there were no Clear reps available. I went back and forth with this for about a week. Finally I went to the higher ups with Clear over the phone and explained all that has happened. I come to find out that they DID sign me up for the wrong service. They signed me up for a service that you get when you purchase a laptop with the Clear internet installed! This is why it was so slow. I would have had Clear just fix the service at their end and all would have been done if I had not already sign up with Comcast in the meantime! I also find out I was lied to, they do have a Clear rep for their store and have his contact number for any questions or concerns while he was not there. Clear called the main headquarters for Best Buy and told them that they have to do the refund. Best Buy STILL refused! Clear sent me a pre-paid label and had me send them the modem and I faxed them a copy of my receipt from Best Buy. They said they would do the refund with me and take this up with Best Buy on their own. This all happened the beginning of November 2010. It is now January 2011 and I am still waiting for my $93.00 to be refunded. Most of the staff at Clear is helpful. I only had one customer service rep hang up on me from frustration. But Im still waiting for my refund and this has been a terrible headache. I know it isnt Clears fault, but this has just been a terrible nightmare. Bolingbrook Best Buy has NO idea what they are doing. I happened to go into Best Buy Christmas shopping and guess who was there? A Clear rep! Weird because they told me they dont have any Clear reps for their store. I asked him if they are there all the time and he gave me the hours they are there Monday thru Saturday every week. What a burn!!!! Bolingbrook Best Buy is not trust worthy. This store is just one big epic fail!

I am so disappointed in this company. My parents always bought everything from best buy and as a home owner I can say that i have been very loyal to Best Buy. I will not shop at Best Buy again. I just bought the first stainless steel appliance for my kitchen and will be buying the other 4 appliances in the coming year. I will NOT be buying them from Best Buy. I bought a dishwasher that does not work at all. It wont clean chocolate milk out of a plastic glass. I had multiple photos of many failed attempts at using this dishwasher. My husband was on hold for 17 minutes, transferred to 2 different departments and said he couldnt get through to anyone. So on my way home I stopped in to see if someone could help me. I was originally told by Randy that he wanted to make sure I remained a loyal customer and as soon as he saw that my appliance that does not work at all was 16 days old, he sent me to the geek squad. Honestly, I knew right then that I was going to get the run around. And thats exactly what I got. Once at the geek squad, after waiting in another line, I was told because i bought the extended warranty that I would need to call the geek squad. Wasnt I standing at the counter of the geek squad? My appliance is 1 day past the return policy. And I paid extra for the extended warranty. Now I was being penalized for paying that extra money. This machine is clearly a lemon and does not work at all. I was not looking for a return, I was looking for an exchange. I was willing to purchase a higher priced model. Anything to have a working dishwasher. I was told she couldnt help me and to call the number. Very poor customer service and not a trusted company. I will not be back.

Ive been a customer at this best buy for years now as I live close to it. Its mediocre at best, half of the staff inside seem kind of arrogant and careless . Dont get me wrong some of the staff are nice people , including the reps at customer service. Recently I went to look for an electronic part for my car, so I walked over to the area and of course there were no staff members around. I told one of the nearby employees to send me someone who knows the dept. and I literally waited 15 mins until I walked over to customer service to ask again. They told me to go all the way to the home theater dept. and talk to that guy. He gave a pretty general answer that didnt help much and I ended up leaving with more questions then answers about the part. I thought it was just a one time thing until I went back a few days later and ,tried to find an employee again. This time the employee was a bit more helpful but didnt know much so he sent me to the geek squad guy. This guy literally made me leave the store as he told me hed be out from the garage in a minute and then 20 mins passed. Short version: Dont go to this store for info on a specific item, especially if you lack knowledge with tech. And be prepared to deal with mediocre employees that complain about customers.

They should just shutter this place. I forgot why I bought things online until I experienced the horrible customer service at this Best Buy. Customer service is the only thing that they have going for them it is the only reason to stop by this depressingly overpriced disaster of a store. I came here because the Best Buy website said they had the new Moto 360 smart watch in stock. I stood there looking at the display in the front of the store, nobody even attempted to help me. I had to flag someone down and ask if they even had it. They didnt but that wasnt the upsetting part it was the fact that their staffed walked by so cavalierly that it was almost as if my money wasnt of value. There was another experience that I had the same situation happen when I wanted to get a remote start for my car. Evidently you should only shop here if you want a laptop or a cellphone because in those cases they stop short of hounding you to death.
