I went to Best Buy tonight to look at new speakers and an Amp for my new Terrain. This is EXACTLY why Best Buy is going under!!! Stop blaming Wal-Mart or other stores blame yourself! One guy came up to me and asked if I needed help and before I could turn around he was walking away, one guy came up to me and asked me if I had any questions and when I said yes he said "ok let me call someone that knows car audio" then a girl comes over and I ask her the difference between the speakers as one was on sale and she said "Well the Watts are different" Thanks for reading the sign for me Captain Obvious! Then she said let me find someone I dont know much else...SOOO why do people come up to a customer to waste their time if they know darn well they cant answer a simple question. When the 4th guy came to me and finally gave me suggestions he gave me a quote. The Amp and Speakers were going to cost me $290. The final Quote was $862!! Why you ask??? No I wasnt buying 2 other car stereos that is what they were charging me to INSTALL THEM. WHO CHARGES 3 TIMES TO INSTALL SOMETHING THAN THE ACTUAL ITEM COSTS??? Then as I was leaving some rather large lady standing by the door asks "Oh couldnt we find what you were looking for?" and I said "No I found them I just wasnt paying you guys triple for installation" Her response? "Oh Sorry he he" I sure hope this isnt all Best Buys, but if it is they cant be closed down fast enough! I would hope that this is one of the stores on the list of closures though!! RIDICULOUS!!

I went into the BestBuy Mobile store in the Lewis Joliet mall knowing exactly what I wanted (iPhone 4g). The ATT store was out of the specific one I wanted, so on a whim, I decided to try the BestBuy Mobile store. An associate came up and I explained what I wanted, and said hed help. All it seemed he was interested in was selling me extras though (screen protecter, case, extra chargers, ect.) After they took all my information and started to ring me up, a female associate told him to help someone else. (While he was still working on my sale.) He stopped my transaction to take care of another sale. In all, a five-ten minute sale took well over two hours. I sat there for about two hours, not being told anything. I had already paid, but was not given my phone. Finally, I asked what was taking so long, and was told they were waiting for it to activate. I said I had things to do and needed to leave, if that was all that needed to be done, there was no reason for me to sit there. I left and another three hours went by and my phone was still not working. I drove all the way BACK to the mall to see what the issue was. A different man was working and looked up my account. They never switched the Sim Card. After a few seconds it worked. He then offered to transfer my data from my old phone to my new phone. I had wanted that done originally, but they were to busy helping the other customer. I would NOT recommend shoping at this BestBuy Mobile store to anyone.

So I go into best buy to buy a iPad 2 16gb new they tell me if I want to buy a warranty for $100 for 1 year and $179 for 2 years. I say no but how long is the manufacturers warranty to my surprise they tell me Apple only has a 1 day warranty. Only after I open it and thats it. I say what Apple has no warranty thats crazy. So I go home call Apple and the say I get a free 90 day software and a 1 year hardware warranty plus I can buy a 2 year software+extra warranty for $79 compare to best buy $179. I say really because best buy says you have no warranty they said best buy is lying so you can by theres. Unbelievable so I go to return iPad and tell them (2 employees and a manager) I dont want it because I dont appreciate your company lying about warranty they say o.k. and send me on my way. They could care less that they are trying to scam me. Wow Im still shocked. Now I will never return to best buy and I know why they will be out of business soon. Plus I have to wait for a check because I paid with a debit card. Wow really. O.k. more of a reason not to shop at best buy.

I was hesitant at first to have BB install anything into our 2011 Subaru Forester because I can be somewhat “anal” about things. After speaking with Cory on the phone, I was a bit more at ease because he seamed to know what he was talking about. Then, when I met Collin and Estes (installers), I was even more comfortable with the whole thing. Collin and Estes are friendly, patient, calm, knowledgeable and confident in what they do. Now I know why, because they do it well and they enjoy what they do. They took care of us and our vehicle and installed the product with no problems at all. Not a scratch on the dash no rattles at all and everything worked perfectly! They were on time with the delivery of our vehicle and showed us how to use every feature. They are true professionals and are certified installers on top of it all. I can’t wait to bring my truck in for MY remote starter and new radio!

I ordered a laptop online at 11:30am, it took my money out of my card, the lady i talked to said it would be good to pick up 45 minute after, i went there almost 2 hours after at 1:15pm, it still wasnt ready, and to wait 20 minutes in the store and go back again, so i went back.... still not ready, came back an hour later, still not ready.. i finally got an email about an hour later that it was ready. 5 min later, the moneys back in my account and the email is gone.. really.. i wasted about 3 hours and i still dont have my laptop. i tried calling the store many times, no answers... went at 4:30pm, got there,waited in a huge line, it wasnt behind the counter, the guy had to go get it himself from the backroom across the store, i waited atleast 30 min there, didnt get my laptop until 5:15pm.. almost 6 hours to get my laptop... terrible service and i dont plan on going back

I called the Best Buy in Naperville, IL and Joliet, IL, and not only was I on hold for over 20 minutes, I was not allowed to have my phone call transferred to the back so that I could talk to the people who sell the computers. I was told that if I had questions, I had to "get in my car and drive to the store, because they only deal with people who are in front of them, not over the phone". ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I had a couple of simple questions about their computers that they were selling, I wasnt looking for any technical help or anything complicated. The people at the service desk were incredibly rude at both locations as well which made things even worse. IM TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. IM VERY DISAPOINTED THAT I CANT EVEN MAKE A SIMPLE PHONE CALL BEFORE I SPEND AN HOUR DRIVING TO THE STORE TO SEE IF IT WAS EVEN WORTH MY WHILE. Not cool Best Buy.... Not cool.
