Nice selection in store and very competitive prices but thats where the good review ends. We moved from out of state and were looking to purchase a couch as we didnt bring one with us in the move. After spending a little over and hr in store we finally picked out a sectional, two ottomans, and two lamps. We were told by salesperson that they had our sectional in stock "so that was good" That was her words. We were all ready to move forward with payment when we were told it would be 1 month for delivery. That was a shock because other places we had shopped at told us it would be a maximum of two weeks for delivery. And also because we were told they had everything in stock.. but we rolled with it because we really like the furniture. A very, very, long month with no seating for a family of 5. 1.5 weeks away from delivery, I received a call informing me that the ottomans would be ANOTHER 1 month delay on top of the already 1 month delay. We still rolled with it because at least we would have our couch to sit on right?? The day of the delivery, the guys showed up on time but delivered half of our sectional to another customer (how does that even happen) and left the other half with us telling us they would be back asap. 2 hrs later... I am literally still waiting on the other half of my sectional to show up and who knows when thats going to be?!?!?! Not happy. Very unsatisfied and I would not recommend this furniture store to anyone looking to receive their furniture in a reasonable amount of time and with professionalism. At the end of the day, I can say with absolute certainty, I would have rather have paid more for my furniture and received it in 2 weeks or less rather than still be dealing with this.

Buyer beware... let me preface this by saying that I have been a long time customer of Value City Furniture... 2 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, dinette and bookshelf and countless referrals... purchased a sectional 2 yrs ago. discovered recently that the springs failed and that there was a crack in the frame. I purchase the Pure Promise Protection as well. Filed a claim for the damaged furniture. Tech came to my home and verified the damaged... However, claim was denied with no warning and zero communication. I found out by going to the website and researching myself... called Value City and went to the store and was told there was nothing they could do... I disputed the claim 30+ days ago and zero response which is no surprise. I recently purchased a new home and while I wanted to give Value City the opportunity to furnish my new home, this experience has soured me on them completely and Im forced to take my business elsewhere. Buyer beware... the merchandise may look good and the prices may be reasonable but the service is abysmal. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. the few bucks youll save short term is not worth the disappointment long term... and if you do find yourself buying from VCF, let it be know that the Pure Promise is a Pure Ripoff. Save your money. Im only one person so they wont miss my business but hopefully I can help someone else avoid the pitfalls that await them at Value City. Truly truly disappointed...

The only reason they get 2 stars is because the couch that I managed to get I do enjoy. However, I was also supposed to be getting a kitchen bar and chairs that I ordered at the same time as the couch. They originally said the delivery would be in August and I said that was fine. Then I got 6 different phone calls about scheduling my delivery and each time I said I only wanted my chairs delivered once my table is ready - which they seemed to never listen to. They delivered my "order" which was my chairs only - and the wrong chairs! The delivery people said that the table was still set for August and that the chairs were put in incorrectly by the sales person. I go into the store and nobody helps me! I wait at the customer service desk for over 15 minutes and ring the bell three times and nobody comes. After finding someone else in the store to find a customer service rep for me the man was not at all interested in helping me get the correct chairs! And the entire time NOBODY apologized! Nobody said sorry for the inconvenience! Nobody seemed to care. Never shopping at a Value City Furniture again. They clearly do not care about you once they have a sale.

I am SO happy to come on here and give VCF a great review! After reading all of the negative ones, I was really reluctant to try VCF but they were the only ones who had the color I wanted for my chest of drawers and dresser, and the price was half of everyone else. I had NO problems! Went into the Arlington Heights store, ordered with Bruce Ferracane, a great salesman. I chose the date for the delivery (could have had it in 2 days but we were out of town so did it 2 weeks later). They called me 2 days before delivery day to tell me a perfectly reasonable time window (8am-11am), then they called me that morning around 8:30 tell me they were 5-10 minutes away. The two delivery guys did a great job bringing in the furniture and we gave them extra on the tip to move our old chest and dresser to the garage. New furniture looks great and there are no flaws. Please try VCF and dont let the negative reviews scare you off!

Value City Furniture and the Pure Promise Protection Program is a scam. We brought a sectional from the store located in Arlington Heights, IL and this protection program and in two years the frame and structure is completely damaged and broken. When we filled the claim we specifically talked about the frame only. It took over three weeks for someone to come to our home to look at the sectional and when they did he apparently listed other things on the report that we didnt report and because of the report that we cant see that was submitted to Uniters Service Center not only will they not fix our broken sectional but no one is willing to help us. All of this after the service guy told us that this should be covered and will be repaired. We have been customers for years and had a credit account with them as well and this is the type of service we get.....WE WILL NEVER EVER SHOP WITH VALUE CITY AGAIN....

Today I received my defective bed from Value City Arlington Hgts IL. Parts were missing to assemble the bed and I was told they must have left them behind in China. I must now sleep on the hardwood floors as Value City is unable to complete and asemble my$3500.00 bed/matress purchase UNTIL A LATER DATE!!!.Assistant store manager Vicki has been unable to assit me in obtaining delivery of this product in a more timely fashion. While at the same time I am now (after the fact )being told that the matching chest of drawers has been discontinued and they need me to take the floor model at "get this" a whole $20.00 discount. Sorry folks this is unacceptable I should have received my product in full as ordered or been told at POS of these issues. SHAME SHAME SHAME on you Value City!!! Awful !!Poor ;customer service. Never again!!
