Rented a book and missed the due date. Charged for the book which was fine, totally my fault. Sold the book back to the store and asked to confirm the email on the account (as i didnt receive any emails reminding me to return the book). The girl helping us said there were 3 accounts with the same name, none of which were the right one. She went to the back to check on something. We waited a couple minutes, not a problem at all. The girl returned with 2 other girls, one who was now speaking to us. I started to explain the situation so everyone was on the same page and she held up her hand like a crosswalk guard and said yeah yeah we all know whats going on, we have it on paper. shocked and confused about the nasty attitude she had, we just said okay. She continued to confirm our information on the account and then got extremely defensive and started to lecture is about contracts and how its our fault the book was late, email reminder or not. CONGRATULATIONS, I KNOW. I simply asked what email was on the account. Thats all. I left feeling attacked, embarrassed, and upset about how we were treated for confirming an email address. AN EMAIL ADDRESS. I felt like she needed to calm down and stop being so defensive, and stop jumping to conclusions. We never even mentioned a refund for the book fines. I took responsibility for that, because it was my fault. The whole experience was lame. The bookstore is the one thing about cwi I wont miss.

I understood that it would be going back to school crowd since it was a couple of days after classes had started but why have a checkstand at the back of the store that literally does nothing but online pickups? Could you not see the line that had stretched clear across the store and thought that maybe it should be opened up? As much as I just hate purchasing overpriced books from any bookstore the staff was very courteous and they would ask if I needed help.

Staff is very knowledgeable and the computer guys are very good at comparisons. The staff will walk you through what you need to charge to financial aid, and they are best able to help if you have your schedule with specific sections on it.

Its WAY cheaper to buy your books at the Textbook Exchange across the parking lot, but the good thing about the bookstore is you can charge to financial aid if you dont have funds up front for books.

Busy place, did not have English 101, wont have it until next week. Certainly they have a head count of students who are taking this course.

Great little bookstore. Just ask for help to find your books. It sucks grabbing the wrong book for class.
