Coming on a weekend afternoon it felt like theyre a understaffed, having only two people behind the counter juggling the tasks of taking orders and preparing the drinks. Normally youd think a manual pour over would require total attention from one barista to make a good brew, but the poor barista there had to prepare teas, iced coffees, and more all while brewing my coffee. They dont have a written menu describing their pour over bean selection, so I had to ask verbally - and both employees werent familiar enough with the beans to explain the differences between the options. They explained they recently switched coffee suppliers (from Counter Culture to East Pole), but I think thats unacceptable to not know the products youre selling. Never the less, my washed Ethiopian (Werka chelchele) was quite tasty and better than I expected, given the conditions under which it was prepared.

Copper Coin is among the best when it comes to coffee shops! Going in, youll immediately notice the amazing atmosphere. Its a modern industrial space that feels strangely cozy, and there is MORE than enough room to spread out and make your own little area if you need to get some work done. And then theres the coffee itself. Copper Coin serves Counter Culture Coffee, which should immediately pique the interest of any good coffee-lover. But good beans are nothing if you dont brew them right, and CC nails that as well. Ive had amazing black coffee as well as amazing espresso-based drinks here. To put it simply, youd be a fool to go to a Starbucks anywhere within a 10 mile radius of this place. Its that much better. Copper Coin is the way to go!

The service wasnt great, and the place felt dusty and dirty like it doesnt get thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day (at least near where we were, by the cool looking stadium seating). The wraps we ordered didnt taste very good and had soggy shells (BLT and Buffalo Chicken). My husbands espresso wasnt that good, and my iced coffee was disappointing also. The ladys room was dirty as well. Overall we were let down but glad we tried it. They display a lot of very beautiful and incredibly creative local art! Very cool. The pastries and sweets looked like they would have been good (I wish we had tried them or gotten a bagel).

I went in on a slow day. I love the atmosphere and the espresso would have been excellent if the girl was a better trained on how to make it (it was super bitter expresso since she wasnt paying attention and she didnt care about handing me the saucer or spoon). Im going to go back again for the coffee to see if round two is better. I hope I dont get the same two lackluster kids behind the counter. Their neglect tarnished my first experience.

The cappuccino I got was very thick. Not bad, actually it was very good, but a very nice dense consistency. The overall atmosphere is very "cool" with large industrial sized windows and exposed hardware and pipes overhead. Its definitely fitting with the new look that downtown woodstock has gotten. It took a little while to get my coffee but overall, I was pleased with the experience and its much nicer to go there than starbucks.

A lovely spot with plenty of seating, inside and out, and plenty of quiet. The coffees are spot on, no matter whos on barrista duty. The snacks and food look tasty, though I havent sampled any as of yet. Staff friendliness varies pretty wildly with some being standoffish and some being completely knowledgeable and genial. That aside, this is the sort of place to spend a morning or afternoon. I will definitely be back.

Stuffy and snobby vibe. We were considering moving to Woodstock and had a good experience a few days prior. However we were checking it out again on a weekday and were completely disappointed by the experience. The barista was really rude to us and patrons were not friendly. We are people who frequent our downtown coffee shop for work and dates, so this place changed our initial excitement for the area.

WOW this is the HUB of downtown Woodstock. It is always loaded with people and computers ( free WiFi). There are loads of seating arrangements counter by the window, tables and chairs, booth, a living room type area, conference room and stadium seating and lastly outdoor. The coffee and snacks are great. Take it to go or hang out about do some people watching in one of the top 50 cities in America!

My friends and I go here all the time after we ride mtb bikes at Rope Mill or Blankets Creek. The coffee is really good and so are the pastries. The baristas are usually really friendly. My only small complaint is that getting your order can be a little slow. Having said that, the Copper Coin is place that you got to relax, talk with friends, and take in the atmosphere.

This is my absolute most favorite coffee shop that I have ever been to. The espresso is very rich and high-quality. If the drink is asked for in a mug, the barista creates beautiful latte art. My favorite coffee-date place. Just wish the stools at the window bars had back support. They are the only seating available most of the time and become uncomfortable quickly.

My wife and I love it here! As many others have said, the atmosphere is fantastic and the place itself is incredibly spacious. They also have a strong free Wi-Fi access. We always find the coffee to be subtly flavored and delicious, and their pastries are always perfectly baked and wonderful. They also have a decent Rewards program that you can sign up for as well.

For a coffee shop this place is by far the best in the area. Great coffee choices with a few good food choices. I like the place more because of the work spaces. There are spots for one or five. If you need a closed room they exist. Of course being in downtown Woodstock means there is more to do when you leave. Enjoy.

Drinks are just okay. Service is terrible. Even when its not busy the staff will stand there and talk to each other instead of making your drink. It takes 10-15 minutes just to get an iced chai. There is one guy(hes from Ohio) there who is really sweet, but one person does not make up for the rest of bad staff.

5 stars based on: 1. Excellent, well-made expresso. Equipped and A+ technique. 2. Knowledgable and friendly staff. Aware of the national roasting/coffee scene and seem to operate at that level. 3. Great working atmosphere, tons of space. 4. Neat location and good parking (AM) 5. Clean and quiet (AM)

Ive been coming here since the month they originally opened and still love coming here. The coffee is good, the environment is great for getting work done or hanging out with friends, and the employees are nice and fun to talk to. I highly recommend coming in to check it out and grab a coffee or tea

Great local coffee shop to hangout, study, or work. Theres plenty of space. A few couches with a coffee table up front as well as (practically) a living room setup in the back. They dont have a huge variety of coffees, but it is good quality. They have several dessert and pastry options as well.

Coffee is quite good and the environment / ambiance is what you expect in a coffee shop. Definitely significantly louder on Fridays and Saturdays but that is expected and a bit welcomed. Due to the quality of the beverages, the line can get a little long at times. Overall, very nice place!
