A friend of mine purchased a Bearded Dragon from this PetSmart. Upon intent to purchase, two women surrounded my friend telling them everything that they needed for their pet. Well, among many other errors, this one was a really obvious one that is ridiculous to omit from the basic care of a reptile; calcium supplements. (My friend does not live close to this place, so they needed everything up front and my friend bought the BD on a whim. I know, shame on them, but this is a review of this PetSmart, not my friends intelligence. xD ) Anyway, they told my friend to only feed their BD crickets, thats it.. They mentioned nothing of other foods, supplements/vitamins, or even the size of the recommended live prey. >.> Well, Im just going to say that the BD came to my friend with MDB and was constipated, probably with cricket exos much too large for her tiny, tiny tummy. D: Do yourself a favor, financially and emotionally, do not buy a reptile from this PetSmart. -This was a self-diagnosis based on a lot of research. If anything, please read thoroughly on everything you can find about your reptile to better prepare yourself for any problems, as any pet store may not think to mention it or have the most knowledgeable of employees! I would still shop at this PetSmart for different supplies, those that are not too over-priced and actually good for my pets. I just believe that their is some improper care of reptiles at this store. The diet of the pet was not the only poorly handled/discussed/understood thing. So, do your research first and do not take their word for it! -

Customer Service = non-existent: Purchased an item from the store and found out it would not be suitable for my application. Upon returning it to the store, I noticed that after I had left the item in the back of my truck it had gotten the box wet although it was covered. The box being wet did not affect the condition/quality of the product inside, rather made the appearance of the box less than desirable. The store personnel refused to take the item back after I tried to plea my case although I was willing to take a discount from my refund in order for them to obtain a new/re-saleable box for the item. Of course, I was the stupid customer who didnt understand the meaning of re-saleable (the selling again of something purchased) which also is considered resale (the act of selling something secondhand). By no means does the store policy on the back of their receipt state the container must be in new condition but it does state that they will glady accept returns on merchandise within 60 days of the original purchase date. It also states items must be re-saleable and returned in original packaging with all parts included. I will never ever shop at this store nor any other Petsmart again if this is the type of customer service that I receive after spending unknown sums of money. It seems that all the customer is, is a walking cash cow and deserves little if any respect or customer service.

I would have rated a 2.5 but I could only do a 2 or a 3. Im rating it based on their fish department. Perhaps the rest of the store is better ran? Ive gone in quite a few times lately for fish supplies as I am a rather big fish/aquarium enthusiast. Most of the fish they have labels for arent in stock usually and employees cant give me an answer other than "we havent had any for several weeks". Some of the tanks and their fish looked sickly;this is why I dont buy Walmarts fish. The base knowledge of the department seems lacking. Some people know a little (not much) about items in their department or they know nothing at all and a manager has to come to answer my questions. The manager always seems very knowledgeable...just not the people below him. They also lack on care guides for fish. Most were gone and an employee told me good luck finding one I needed. After looking at what they had in stock I realized he wasnt being sarcastic or a smart ass but rather truthful. All in all... I like the store but I find myself disappointed often. I will still shop here.

I honestly have not had a bad experience personally from Petsmart. I got a coupon for a free grooming for my puppy so I decided to give them a try and see what its about. I would like to say we had a great experience, friendly staff my puppy went in happy and left happy. But yes there is a but, when I picked my girl up there was a dog crying in pain on the grooming table. The groomer appear to be trying to clean the dogs ears but was pulling hair out of the dogs ear from what I could see. So of course the dog was upset I mean how would you feel if someone was pulling your hair. They pulled the leash on her neck tight to the bar I guess trying to controller the dog and went at it agen only this time the dog bit her and got her really good too. Anyways I feel sorry for the pup and the owner who may never know what really happen. I dont know what that groomer called herself doing but I hope she is held accountable for her actions. I will not be using them anymore.

Horrible! I had taken my dog for a year, thinking they would get better! The last straw was when the said she had fleas and shaved her down. (yes I signed the form). They did not call me first and let me know after we discuss a few matts she had on her. They also try to tell me since I had her at the vet to be fix several weeks before to be fix, maybe my vet kennel had fleas. I took her to my vet and discuss this .Maybe her flea meds where not working correctly, maybe I did something wrong, I was really upset. I had no fleas in my house, saw no fleas on her before bring her etc.. He then showed me her paws they were cut!!! all of them. She is a poodle. I will not take her back. Let make this clear, I will not go back to the grooming!! but the training for my dog was EXCELLENT!!! I wish the groomer had the service and kindness and compassion the trainer did!! Her name was YARNEN!

I have had nothing but good experiences at this store. I first took my small breed dog for puppy dog obedience classes and although she was not the best student the instructor kept working with us. Its been three years and the instructor still remembers us and my dog gets all excited when we visit to see the instructor again. My dog loves the store so much she gets all excited when she sees we are going to go inside (until she realizes she has to have a bath lol). We live over an hour away from this store and still prefer to make the drive to have my dog groomed here. The staff is so very nice and knowledgeable on grooming and takes special care of my dogs disability (only one eye). They keep track of my dogs grooming schedule and how I like her hair to be cut. I wouldnt trust any other place with the care of my little baby.
