This place doesnt even deserve half a star. I have been to Beauty World only once today and already, I will NOT be returning to this mediocre establishment. Today, I went to Beauty World with a VSU colleague to see what they had and just to shop around. I had only bought three beauty products which were labeled for 6.00, 2.00 and 1.00. That means that the items should only be around 10 dollars at the most. However, when I got to the male cashier at the establishment, he rung them for almost 12.00, which means that he marked UP the prices. I did not have that much cash on me at the time, because I though the items would only be 10. So, I cancelled the transaction and only got 8.00 back. Not only this but he (the cashier) criticized me for coming into their establishment with not enough money. My colleague, bought much more items than I did, but only had 30 cash. She kindly asked the cashier if he could ring all the teams up so she can see exactly how much they costed together. He (the cashier) then began to raise his voice and said, "No, that is not how we do things things here. Girls like you come in here all the time with not enough money and things you can buy everything." My colleague ignored his racist remark and asked (again) if he could just ring the items. He then said, "Dont play with me, I will make sure you never shop or come back here again." How are you going to threaten a first time, paying customer who has not disturbed or vandalized your establishment??? He ended up ringing the items for us after the 3rd time and we left quietly disturbed by his racist, rude remarks and horrible customer service. This place would be better if they had nicer employees and were not so expensive with the prices. Makeup prices at Ulta are way cheaper than at Beauty World, and their customer service is better, too. If you go their for their makeup, just go to Ulta, if there is a male working the cashier, leave too, and if you still need to buy hair, there is a another beauty supply right up the street.

It was a Terrible experience I wouldnt even give it 1 star ... The cashier is very rude and disrespectful. Based on the prices - they do not ring the items up right and they gave my friend a Canadian penny back ... We were threatened to not come back bc of the fact of not knowing exactly what we wanted to purchase . Then for not letting the cashier talk down to us while he was using smart and racist remarks . I would not recommend this beauty supply store to anyone and will not be returning ever again. I dont understand how you could treat a kind customer like that !!!
