TRUE STORY; After wearing my engagement ring for 48yrs, I lost it. My insurance company worked through Brown & Co. to replace it and in the process I met Nisha Goel, their GIA Gemologist, who appraised the replacement diamond and advised me on making the most-prudent decisions going forward. Ms Goel was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions, above and beyond what she was expected to do. I will definitely be bringing other treasures to her for appraisals. When I returned to the store to have a new ring made, Rob McElwees skills did not disappoint, exhibiting the same professional and knowledgeable response to my predicament. Through instinct, Rob assessed how to reset my replacement stone, along with my comments and style requests, ultimately providing me with a creative range of options from which to choose. Robs instincts were right on. I had originally planned to have the stone set in a new cocktail ring but within a short period, I chose something entirely different. I ended up resetting my new stone into a beautiful engagement ring to match my wedding band ~ definitely not what I was looking for, but a natural choice and Im very proud of the set. I recommend to anyone considering a jewelry purchase, DONT BE LIKE ME, it makes good consumer sense to consider all your options, including one from this quality store. You can always decline the ideas offered but you need to expose yourself to the best quality options, before making any purchase of this magnitude. I am definitely a satisfied customer and Brown & Co is my new go-to jewelry store!

We took my husbands movado watch in to repair the back that had come off. When he was there they recommended that we change the battery because it was a older battery. Even though it was working and keeping time when we brought it in. We agreed thinking that we might as well get it done while it was there. He went back a week later to pick it up and got home and i realized it wasnt working. He then took it back and they just refunded him the money and said that we needed to send it in to movado. When I called to try and figure out why it would work when we brought it to them and then all of a sudden not they told me that obviously something was wrong internally in the watch. I spoke with the store manager and explained to her and she also said something must be wrong internally i then said why once again would it be fine all this time until you replaced battery she said something was wrong with it which drained the battery. I said how could that be when he worked when we brought it to you back off and all. She said how would you know what could be wrong are you a watch maker.... are you kidding me!!!!!! How rude. i then called movado and they said that is impossible that obviously they didnt put the battery in correctly and should have never messed with the battery if it was working. So much for customer service. I am very disappointed and will never return there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, Walked in with a friend that was going to sell a watch third party to someone that wanted to meet at a breitling dealer so he felt comfortable. Multiple employees told my friend he could not sell the watch in the store to someone else. I interjected and told them we understood and that my friend would be in the market for a new watch after he sold his. They cut me off immediately, They told us to leave and go somewhere else to do the transaction. I told them we would go outside so nobody would get in trouble, but they cut me off and told us once again to leave because they are a breitling dealer and they are the ones selling watches. I looked at her once again in disbelief, as I too am always in the market for a new watch. Not that it matter but I had about a $15,000 watch on while they are telling two buyers to leave the store. I replied with, wow okay... then left. I understand there my be rules that I do not understand with third party selling at a certified dealer. HOWEVER as a salesperson myself there is NEVER a appropriate time to act as unprofessional as they did. At one point when I was trying to explain our position she put her hands over her ears. You would have thought I took a gun inside the store. I will take my business elsewhere.

Brown And Company is a great jewelry store with a massive selection............everything you (your wife) could imagine and more. Having a great selection is easy. I’m sure there’s others that have comparable showrooms, but at B&C, its their people that make them the great jewelry store that they are. In early 2015, I decided I was ready to propose and began searching for an engagement ring. After visiting other stores, I decided I would go look in Brown And Co. Until then, I had been reluctant to go in, thinking that because I had always heard how great their merchandise was, their prices were probably out of my price range. Boy was I wrong! They have jewelry for anyone on any budget. Robb McElwee, the associate there, has now helped me with an engagement ring, 2 wedding bands, a Breitling watch, and now my wife’s 1st anniversary present. I am somewhat of a meticulous shopper and took a long time to find each of these pieces. Rob patiently showed me around the store on multiple occasions and answered any and all of my many questions. Not once did he show any sign of aggravation and try to rush me into a bad decision. THIS IS WHY I CONTINUE TO GO BACK TO BROWN AND COMPANY AND THIS IS WHY I CONTINUE TO GO SEE ROBB, PERIOD!

I cannot say enough about the Brown & Co. staff and in particular Bob Johnson! Like most guys I had little to no knowledge of what to look for in an engagement ring. So when my then girlfriend and I came in to pick up my watch that was under repair, he very politely and professionally walked us through the options and what to look for when choosing an engagement ring. I left that first meeting feeling confident that I knew both the basic style she wanted as well as the attributes I wanted to include in a ring. As one who is never quick to make a purchase especially one this profound, Bob and I traded emails and phone calls for the next several months as I checked all the options and the competition. All the while I never felt pressured to make a purchase. With his patience and expertise I always came back to Brown & Co. and I cant imagine going any where else. The entire Brown&Co. team made the process as painless as possible! We now have a date set for our wedding and Brown&Co. will be our jeweler of choice from now on!

Recently, my Fiancée and I had been looking for a very specialized ring that was proving hard to find. We even had a family friend try to design something and even that was not turning out the way we hoped. We ventured into the B&C store on Holcomb bridge road to try our luck. Upon arrival Bob Johnson greeted us. Bob was extremely friendly and professional. We didnt feel he was trying to pressure us into something we didnt want. There is nothing more frustrating than having someone trying to sell you something you clearly dont want. We explained what we were looking for and to our surprise Bob found us the perfect ring. We had to return to the store a few times to get the ring resized just right and every time the staff were friendly and helpful. The whole experience was much better than expected and believe it or not we actually had fun shopping for our ring. We now have a jewelry store we can trust and Im sure we will be back for all the other special occasions in our lives. Thank You!!! Joe W.
