Went on vacation to St. Simons Island, GA and realized my MacBook Pro would not turn on, so I took it to Simply Mac on a Monday morning. They instructed me that they might have to send it to Apple. That was fine with me. The whole week I didnt hear anything, so I assumed they shipped it out. When I got home, I called them on Monday to get the status when I left a message for service to call me back. Never heard back that whole day. Called again Tuesday morning and was told they have to call me back. I received a call a couple hours later. Was informed they just got to it on Saturday and Sunday. I asked what was wrong and they just had to reset the battery, no big deal. It took them a whole darn week to get to my computer. Then they had the nerve to say they will be able to ship it out and they would get back to me with that info. Didnt hear back on Tuesday about shipping. Then on Wednesday morning I called and asked if it was shipped out and was told it wasnt because they were waiting to hear from their district manager about getting a UPS label. At this point I was very irritated. If they would have called and told me that it would have taken a week for them to even look at the computer I would have stopped and picked it up on my way back to Atlanta. I even offered to give them my UPS account number to ship it NDA so I can get my computer back. Some area manager called me and said he will make sure it goes out, but standard delivery since he didnt want to incur the extra cost since it would take about one to two days to get to me anyway. He also said that the store would call me that day with the tracking number. It is now Thursday and no computer, but just received the tracking number a day late. The package was set up UPS 3-day select, those dirty bastards are so cheap that they couldnt even select regular UPS 2-day. The delivery was scheduled for Saturday but UPS was kind enough to schedule it to be delivered on Friday. Simply Mac is the worst in customer service all the way from the store to the area (Southeast) district manager. Never taking anything there ever again. Their whole attitude was crappie and very unprofessional. The whole process was like I was putting them out. Really, I was the one put out for two weeks just for a battery reset. Total joke. Clearly, they need more help on the sales and service departments since that was their excuse. The service tech was helping on the sales floor.

I have to say that convenience was a factor in choosing this place for my MAC repair. But Ive been here 3 times for same issue. Once they attempted to fix it themselves. Less than 6 weeks later, having same issue, they sent it to Apple and they fixed a bunch of stuff. And 6 months later, I had the same exact issue AGAIN!! The female staff member that handled my last complaint was closed and callous with me. No compassion whatsoever. Saying repair is out of warranty. At that point, I was upset at the prospect of forking out ANOTHER $500.00 to send it back to Apple. She gave me the 800# for Apple and obviously expected me to leave the store to handle it with Apple. No, not me. I called the # right there from the store, waited in queue and got a supervisor to assist me in getting the code the store needed to do the repair under Apples warranty. She spoke to the Apple supervisor as callously as she had to me but took in my MacBook for the repair asking me if I had backed up my pictures and documents and if not, I needed their $70.00 service to do so. Not no, but hell no! Ive paid enough to get THIS issue fixed already. Again, no compassion or consideration for what Id already dealt with. When the tech that fixed my MacBook left the voicemail that it had been serviced, he mentioned that there was another issue but she had told him that I didnt want to spend anymore $$ to fix it. Which was true, but the tech found another issue and I wasnt informed of it until he was done and it was ready to go on the warranty issue. I went in to pick up my laptop. While I was checking it out, I overheard her on the phone with a customer that was apparently asking questions about purchasing a new computer. She was just as callous and uncaring with this new prospect that was contemplating spending $$ in that store as she was with me and the supervisor from Apple. Phone call ended in "NO SALE!" I get that techie folks are sometimes more comfortable with codes and drives than people, but if their job requires the need to deal with people, they need to have at least a modicum of people skills. I will from now on take my Mac to Apple. Its a shame because this simplymac location is a lot more convenient. But Ill deal with Apple!

Had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Peach Mac this afternoon. I was looking for a cable that apple offers and decided for convenience sake to try out this store. I walked in and the lovely young lady behind the counter could barely lift her head up from her cell phone to greet me...with an empty store might I add. I proceeded to explain to her what I was looking for when she so graciously put her phone down and proceeded to walk me over to show me what she had. She had no idea what I had told her I was looking for, almost like I was speaking a foreign language to her. Instead of asking one of the other employees to help her find what I was looking for and instead of her admitting she had no idea what I was saying, she just told me they dont have it. I then asked if they had something else that might work and without hesitation she said "no we dont have that". I can understand that due to her young age she has no idea what customer service really means but I think the company should do a better job training someone who looks like they are still in high school if thats the person they feel best represents their company. Apple is built on customer service and if this is what they have out there representing their brand - its a sad sad day. Prior to this, I had never been into this store and this will probably be the last. Save yourself some time and go see a genius at the REAL Apple store!

Not sure how it could be worse. Short Story - do yourself a favor and go to Northpoint Apple store and talk to someone who knows what the hell is going on! I have an iMac that gave me a "bad memory" error, and Apple Support told me to take it in for repair. Long story longer, it took 2 weeks for Simply Mac to get it right. They didnt bother telling me that the service team was out for vacation, so they missed their commitment to have it ready 4+ times. The actual technicians were pretty good, especially Erin, but the Store Manager is an idiot. I went to the store 5 or 6 times probably over the course of this, and every time the Manager didnt seem to know or care who I was, didnt know the status of my repair, he didnt know jack. It was like starting over every damn time. He is lazy, arrogant, & unprofessional. I saw people bring computer in and taking them out, and it never seemed to even occur to him or anyone else, that holding the door open for the customers carrying large items might be helpful. I overheard one of the salesman telling an elderly lady that she needed to buy a access point because it would make her internet speed 100x faster. She was smart enough to challenge him on it, and he started babbling about how this new unit works "like a laser beam." It was painful to watch.
