Even after I had already bought the Jeep Liberty, Mike went out of his way to make sure I got the extra key for the used Jeep I bought from him. He contacted the auction house and they had the extra key, so they sent it to him. Mike then mailed the key to me. Also, when we called about the Jeep on craigslist and said we were on our way to look at it, he already had it out of his showroom and ready for a test drive. I purchased this vehicle for my daughter and she is very happy with her Jeep. Thanks to Mike and Jeff for a car buying experience better than Ive had with the large, big-name dealerships. And one more thing.. I almost forgot. This transaction happened late on a Sunday close to closing time, and because I rarely buy vehicles, I wasnt quite prepared for the transaction. I thought I could just put the purchase on my card.... well anyway, my daughter was able to wire transfer her portion for payment for the jeep and Mike said we could just take the jeep then return later that day with a personal check. The transaction was wrapped up at 6pm on a Sunday.

I was an out of town purchaser of a vehicle. Mike was very courteous and professional with our interactions over email and phone. Theyre a smaller independent dealer so they didnt a wide variety of ways to accept a deposit but luckily they have a major bank we were able to visit to hold the vehicle. After negotiating and finalizing I flew down to inspect and purchase the vehicle to drive back. Paperwork was super quick, almost like a private sale so A+ to that. Bad: The vehicle was filthy according to my OCD standards but someone else may find it acceptable. I begrudgingly did and he agreed to give me a full tank of gas to compensate. Right before I set off on a 800 mile drive I find out the oil is WAY PAST its scheduled interval but thats another story. Theyre a small dealer so dont expect them to know everything about the cars they purchase from auction as in my case, that wouldve been a deal breaker or required a large credit. Do you own research especially if its a higher end vehicle. Mike was a great and easy guy to deal with.

Deceptive Practices:DO NOT BUY HERE! They employ deceptive practices. I called them and told them I was coming to look at an 06 Mustang. When I arrived he let me take it for a test drive and it did not have any check engine light at the time and the AC was blowing cold. After I purchased the car, the check engine light came on within 30 miles of driving it and the next day the AC was also blowing hot. After taking it to get it fixed, I`m told the car needs an engine at the tune of 6,000 in labor and engine and the AC system needs repairs due to a bad leak. He purposely cleared the codes before I came (the battery cables were still off when i arrived) and filled it with freon before I got there to make it appear the AC worked.

We had a great experience with Ray of Memar Auto Sales. We drove down from Knoxville to purchase a 2005 Lexus GX470 with 123,000 miles. Due to the age it was important that the vehicle condition was represented accurately. Ray was great through the process and the vehicle was in the excellent condition we expected. It is a local 2 owner car that was services and traded in at the local Lexus dealership. It was not a salt and snow car they went to purchase up North at auction like ALM. He called the next day to see how the drive home was and to confirm we would have our title next week. The deal was great and service was great as well!

Had a ok selection of inventory, hidden away in an "indoor showroom" (hot warehouse space turned into a garage with vehicles packed in like Jenga pieces) The whole place had a strange vibe....and the pricing was wayyy off the mark. Its one thing to brag that you have "no dealer fees" but when you clearly have inflated prices and dont want to negotiate repairs needed from said inflated prices, it isnt hard to see where the fees REALLY are.

Raymond and Mike are great guys and treated me right. They have a limited inventory due to limited space, so make sure they have the car you want before visiting. But if they do, by all means visit. The guys are laid back, help you out and are knowledgeable. They also dont charge dealer fees, which is the first place I had been that did not do that. I got a great car for a good, fair price. I very much recommend Memar.
