Amazing selection of books of all genres, at huge discounts! The building is literally packed with books from floor to ceiling; its hard to move around in some areas because there are so many books! There is a section for new books, but most of the place is devoted to used books. They have an area where you can sit down and read in comfy chairs; I think this is where the book clubs meet, but I dont know much about them. Next to the reading area, they offer a small selection of tea and coffee - just please be considerate, and be careful not to spill! Family owned and run, the staff is incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything in their store - and most books that arent. After a few visits, theyre more like friends than vendors! They will recommend authors you havent tried, and sometimes havent even heard of, and once they learn what types of books you like almost every recommendation is a winner. You can ask them to look for books they dont already have, and theyll keep looking, no matter how long it takes. Theyll call you when your book arrives, and theyll hold it for you into you can come in to pick it up. You can bring in your old books and get a store credit that you can use to help pay for your purchases - and they dont give a ridiculously tiny amount either! Your credit doesnt expire, and you dont have to keep track of it. They save it to your account, and theyll use it automatically when you check out. They also use your account to let you know if youve previously purchased a book, no matter how long ago, to prevent you from buying duplicates. All in all, this is the best book store, new or used, that Ive ever visited. The selection, and sheer number, of books available is almost overwhelming. Add in the incredible people always eager to help, and the Book House just cant be beat. If youre in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop in - just give yourself plenty of time. Youll need it!

I absolutely love this place. The owner Pam is the sweetest person. I have never be treated anything but nice and I have always been satisfied with my product. She has gotten me a couple of books that I couldnt find anywhere else. Plus I get a percentage off of new books I have her order. Awesome lil neighborhood book store. I prefer this store over the big chains. The fact that the staff remembers you and your preferred genre of books is a good feeling. I recommend this place to any book worms in the Austell/Mableton and any close surrounding areas. Ps. If u order a book.....they call u when it arrives and you dont have to worry about it being sold to anyone else

There is considerable mark up on a lot of books. They also use stickers to write these markup prices that are put on the front cover. When these are pulled off the cover gets damaged. They also use inventory stickers on the inside of the front cover that cannot be removed without damaging the cover. Ive shopped at too many other used book stores that have better methods and more reasonable prices.

Laid back unless you have children that can get restless. Not small child or ADHD child friendly; restless kids stress out the owner and thus stress you out as well. However, great selection and going back without children was a more pleasant experience. Owner will order new books in for you if they arent in stock.

Very Large Selection! Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Diverse collection includes wide range of fiction and non fiction. Not just used books recycled but new choices can be special ordered if not on the shelf. Highly recommended. Excellent opportunity to support a local business.

I love this place. The owner isnt just helpful, she actually is very knowledgeable about her collection. Before I checked out I left knowing I would become a regular. I am glad they have limited hours or I would spend all my loose change with them.
