I used to work here. Very unprofessional, and unorganized. The managers were childish and unprofessional, and they make you work so much just for $7.25 an hour just to tax majority of your paycheck. The store ALWAYS had/has expired food, and dairy products on the shelves. I worked at food depot on panola from Nov.-May. they hire the wrong people for managers, I swear they do. I went in there one night as a customer. One of the "managers" and I wasnt on good terms and she was laughing and talking about me to one of the other works while dealing with a customers. I didnt want to get out of character but she pushed me there. Being that I didnt work there anymore and came into the store as a customer, I felt that it was unprofessional that she even did that. so I cussed her out, and left the store. Word of advice to anyone looking to work or shop here, you have to have tough skin cause they will push you to your limit.

This location of Food Depot has no regard to offer quality fruits and vegetables to their customers. This is the second time that i stopped at this store to get some fruits or veggies and i ended up being terribly disappointed. Saturday night i stopped to pick up some fruits i bought 7 packs of grapes, when i reached my destination ( a church Social ) and open the packages i realized that they were all either full of mold or rotten. i managed to salvage 1/3 of 1 pack . after that i had to go to Walmart to get some more. This is case of poor quality control which reflects on poor management ethics and performance. It also tells me that you have sanitation problem at your store in the produce section.

I give this location three stars for the location relative to my house. I am vegetarian so I can not review the quality of meats offered. The fresh produce here is horrible. Just about everything spoils within two days. You can tell that the frozen vegetables were thawed and refrozen. Most of the staff is friendly. The others act like they hate their jobs. If I need something to finish a recipe or need to pick up some produce for dinner the same day I will stop here. If not I will pass this store by.
