I shouldve taken heed to everyone elses terrible review , but I decided to take a chance because it was local . . bad idea . I went into Pep Boys off Covington Hwy 5 days ago to have 4 new tires put onto my 2012 passat . 3 days ago and I see the air pressure light come on , since It was close to closing (7:40pm) , I had to wait another day to handle the problem . I was told by the manager that it was too close to closing time to fit me in so I should try and come back tomorrow . she also told me that I can go to any Pep Boys to deal with this situation . I was out in norcross the next day , so I decided to head to the Pep Boys off jimmy carter . I drove about 6 miles going 40mph on a 45mph road with my air pressure and hazard lights on . all the way to the shop Im feeling lumps on the right side , as if something was lodged in between the tires . when I got there I showed them my receipt with the warranty and informed them of what was going on . I specifically remember stressing to the manager about checking the tires for holes . after about 35 minutes later , I was called up and I asked her about the tires and she said she didnt know what I was talking about , but everything was fine with them . they passed me the keys and I left , on the way to my house it felt as if the problem was fixed . . . until this morning . woke up , got dressed for work and walked to my car only to see . . . 2 flat tires on the left side . the front left side tire is soo flat , the rim looks like its about to fall out . since Im still covered by the 6,000 miles/6 month warranty , I shouldnt be charged for anything . . including a tow truck and yall to replace my 2 flat tires with BRAND NEW ones .

Been here twice. Waited 20+ mins BOTH times before even being acknowledged, waited an addition 10 just to be helped. Beyond slow. Not even busy. Just slow beyond reason. Being “short staffed” doesn’t cut it. They aren’t busting their ass to get people checked in, you can tell they are just dragging their feet. Rude staff both times Had a simple oil change done. car was fine before dropping off (no engine light, nothing audibly/visibly wrong) Got it back and the check engine light was on. Drove it for a bit, still on, car was shifting a little harsher than normal, so I read the engine myself so they can’t blanetly tell me a lie Took it back to have it resolved. Was told it’s a part inside my transmission. After further research while waiting (bless google) . It’s a sensor. sensor in question? It’s Next to the transmission filter. Read up on it and said it could’ve easily been bumped during a oil change. Ok so, It’s not actually inside the transmission like they are saying. I tell them this (willing to have it serviced because I travel a lot and don’t have tools to do it myself) and they literally shrugged. Wouldn’t look at it. Wouldn’t even tell me the part I need so I can replace the damn thing myself. YouTube is helpful and they seem to be watching YouTube tutorials theirself while fixing cars, so if they won’t, I will buy the tools & parts and fix it. Said it couldn’t have possibly happened while doing a oil change and was coincidence that it came on while they had it. Maybe they should hire real mechanics instead of boys watching YouTube. Worst pep boys I’ve been to ever been to and will not give pep boys any of my money after this.

Bad service today, we are Stone Mountain Muffler and Brakes and I called in for brakes and rotors for one car... I was on the phone for 45 minutes with a guy that stuttered a little and the reason I mentioned that is so maybe whoever cares about the business can identify him... I gave him our info and he didnt mention we didnt have an account set up, another lady gets on the phone and take over but put me on hold again... After holding for almost an hour, someone answers the phone from commercial and stated that she didnt know I was an commercial account, she just came back from break and we were not in their system... She stated that it would be an additional hour, making it a total of two hours now just to get us in the system and no telling how long to deliver... I decided that it was too much and that Ill go to the store and pick up the brakes and rotors on a regular account, when arriving to the store, they did not have the rear rotors or brake pads in stock but showing in the computer so now Ive driven from my office to the store where they told me they had the parts to arriving and them telling me they dont have them... I requested the area salesman or supervisor from the manager mami and she gave me a Mr. Stebbins and which Ill be contacting including the corporate office.. We will never come back and will not be opening a commercial account...

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PEP BOYS ALL THESE REVIEWS CANT BE WRONG WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THEM FIRST took my car in on Saturday to get tires and oil change. Get a call saying I need a engine and radiator flush. Cool. Took it back Monday because alignment seemed to be a little off. Picked it up Monday evening the guy told me a long list of things some were truly needed some werent. Im driving home and my car starts shaking real bad so when I got home I parked it I figured I would have my mechanic of ten years come take a look at it. He comes on that Saturday and tells me to come look at the radiator fluid on my dipstick and on my oil cap. YES RADIATOR FLUID all in my motor. I now need a new motor and I am currently waiting to see what Pep Boys is going to about this. I hope they do the right thing and replace my motor because I surely didnt pit radiator fluid in a car that I just bought.

Horrible......horrible......horrible!!!!! Dont ever come here and forget making an appointment because they take 2 hrs just to take your car back. I purchased 4 new tires not knowing that the guy who has been here for years would take hours to put my tires on like he just started doing this yesterday. I wish I would have read the reviews first and then I wouldve known to bring lunch, a pillow and blanket for my wait. Dont dare ask whats taking so long because they will give you a non chalant answer. I think the customers are taking away from their personal social time because they held an off duty co worker baby, talked about their weekend and how they cant wait to get off......(I cant wait to leave)!!!! Please dont come here unless you like to wait around as your car isnt even looked at for at least 2hrs.

6/29/30 - If I could give this store a no star rating, I would. This location is so bad, that there are no words to describe. Two weeks, two weeks to repair my car. They did not provide any status updates to me about why it was taking so long. When you call, you are placed on hold for so long they you feel like youre floating in space. I had to make a special visit to the location to find out the status of repair. The people there dont have a clue about operating a successful business or know how to treat customers with proper service. Had I known it would take them a light-year to fix my car, I would have taken it somewhere else. They may know how to repair a vehicle, but other than that, I would avoid this location like the plague.
