Ive never had any trouble with the associates that work at petsmart. They are always kind and very cheerful. However, the grooming salon is a different story. I never leave my bulldog in a kennel she goes with me wherever I go and she has never been in one. I specifically instructed the groomers that I would be in the store and to not put her in a kennel after they were finished. Guess what they did. Against my better judgment I decided to revisit this terrible place after the first misunderstanding. The girl trimming my dogs nails was yelling at her! She was telling her to "stop!" and "quit it!" the entire time while I was standing there! Lady, your profession deals with animals. If you are having trouble, learn how to handle it yourself or ask the owner what the dog understands. My dog does not respond to any of your commands because she knows "No." As I continue to use this petsmart for my dogs needs, I stopped by yesterday to get some food. Walking past the grooming salon and what do I see? An agitated pup on the table while this dogs groomer is texting right beside it. For the record, I hope you girls know that you are in a giant fishbowl and every customer that walks by can see exactly what is going on! Ive worked in the customer service industry before and if I were management, I would take out the trash and rebuild. I have never in my life seen so much disrespect come out of a business. That being said, I will continue to stay a loyal customer of petsmart, but I dont know that I could walk past the grooming salon, much less subject my dog to those carefree girls ever again.

I took my 5 month old puppy in for a puppy bath and nail grinding. He had been to this salon previously with out any problems. I received a call an hour later saying he had attacked 2 of their workers. I have 3 young children, so an attack of any kind is unacceptable. I rush back to get my dog and asked to see the people he attacked. They could not show me anyone he attacked. I asked if any one was seriously hurt. Their response was no, the bather has scratches on her hand and he was lunging at the spayer when they were trying to give him a bath. So they finally bring him out to me. He is completely dry not even slightly damp. He is a Husky, so I would know if he had gotten wet at all. As I am putting his harness on him. The associate is choking him with the leash they use in the salon to the point he is coughing and cant breathe. Finally the bather comes out. I ask her if she was attacked. She replied no he just was not happy about the bath and was having no parts of it. This place is a joke. They need to do a better job training their associates. I saw how my dog was being handled when i was there, so I know it was much worse when i wasnt there.

I’ve had pets for many, many years. I’ve also shopped at a lot of pet stores, including several Petsmarts. From this experience I can say this location is the worst managed store I’ve been too. From disrespectful staff, rude customer service and a nonchalant attitude of store management that refuses to correct or, address the problem. I am an older woman, and enjoy crafts. I’m also a bit of an old bitty who gets cold. I was, believe it or not, profiled before coming into the store. In fact, store security, stopped me, verbally accosted me for wearing a coat and, a home made hat and, was unwilling to even let me shop until I pushed past. It got even worse! I was followed around the store by this same gentleman. He kept harassing me until I felt I had no choice but to leave. Both out of irritation and, fear he would detain me for some perceived threat. I’ve NEVER, had an experience like this before. I called the store management and, they really didn’t care nor, corrected the behavior.

I went into petsmart today June 12th 2016 to pick up my little 8 pound yorkiepoo and as I was walking into the grooming salon this female groomer was cussing and screaming and yanking on this poor little white dog. The dog had the look of terror on its face. I told the girl I was glad I saw that and that I would never bring my dog back there again. She never even acknowledged me bcuz she knew she did wrong and got busted. I reported it directly to the manager. I dont know if the manager did anything or not bcuz I left. I was angry and sad for that poor dog. For those people who think that petsmart grooming is great well you have no clue what they do to your dog once you leave. Just because your dog looks and smells pretty when you pick them up doesnt mean they werent terrorized by one of the groomers. Had that been my little dog I would be in jail right now.

Grooming department stinks here at this location!!!! Absolutely the worst experience ever! Made an appointment to have my dog groomed. Received an email confirmation for 11am on Saturday. Fwd: (Appt Booked) Sat, Jun 20 11:00 am - Premium Groom - Pekingese @ PetSmart Store 1759 Winder. Arrived a few minutes early only for them to say my dog was supposed to be there at 8am. No I made the appt. for 11 and the confirmation also says 11. The staff was rude and VERY UN-ACCOMMODATING and told me I had to come back another day. Do not use their services. Overpriced and not very customer friendly at all. I ended up going to a dog groomer in Dacula. Called the second immediately after I left Petsmart, they got her booked SAME DAY and did a beautiful job! My dog loved them, and they were so friendly & courteous.

We purchased 3 guinea pigs here and all 3 was sick we had to send them back to be treated and to our knowledge one died while in there care. They have no clue what happened. All she had was a small eye infection. The day before we were suppose to pick her up she died. No one Even called us to let us know! And one of them recovered pretty good. I do not recommend this place at all. We still have one there they told us they were suppose to go see a specialist Monday... but they have no clue when she is going to be going... she could possible die before they get her out there. As I said before I Dont recommend this plastic for buying small animals.

Sorry but I have to make a review after seeing some of the bad ones listed. I am surprised seeing so many bad ones. I have 4 Dachshunds and one German Sheppard that goes in once a month. Snickers is the only one that’s does not like going, but that’s just her being her. Dixie the Sheppard Loves it. When I asked her if she is ready for her bath she goes crazy. Only once they missed cleaning the ears on one of the Dachshunds and I have been going a couple of years. Oscar has a bad back and they take really good care of him while he is there. Anyway that’s my 2 cents worth. Perry
