They did an exceptional job with rebuilding the shank of my wedding band and their customer service is amazing. Another company whose name I will not mention resized my wedding ring down with diasterous results. Since we had previously purchased my husbands wedding band at D. Geller on Cobb, I stopped by to see if they could help and was immediately greeted by Alex, who was gracious and knowledgeable. He made sure I understood that the shank had to be rebuilt due to the thinness of the band and the previous resizing and explained the entire process from start to finish. My ring is not expensive but has a great deal of emotional value to me. It was given to my mother by my father on their 25th wedding anniversary and as my father is no longer living, it brought tears to my eyes that someone would be so caring and gentle about a ring that is not high value, retail wise. Alex promised the ring would be ready for pick up in a week and I left, feeling like I was being taken care of completely. Since I was due to travel the date the ring would be ready, I stopped by 2 days earlier, just in case the repair might have been completed. To my amazement, it was. And not only was it repaired, but BEAUTIFULLY repaired by Charlotte. In fact, Charlotte herself ran and got it for me. The shank looked like it had never been repaired - it fit my hand better than it ever had and I noticed something else - Charlotte (she may deny this, but I swear it is true) had to have fixed one of the side diamonds prongs. It had always bothered me before that 1 of the side diamonds sat slightly "crooked" in its setting. Just slightly.. .just enough that I knew. But looking at the ring I am very certain Charlotte repaired that as well! The setting never looked better. I have tears in my eyes as I type this. D Geller - your team at the Cobb location; Alex (who helped me with the resizing), Anna (who initally sold my hubby his ring 3+ years ago), Charlotte (great jeweler!) , and the manager, Steven should all be proud of their exceptional customer service and care for jewelry that means so much more than beautiful adornment. :) We will always be back! Thank you!!!!!

I wish there was a zero star rating. I hear commercials for these guys all the time and, after 20 years am finally leaving my review. When i was a younger I was going to propose to my girlfriend and started the process to buy an engagement ring. I went to all the places that i had heard about on the radio including "my friend in the diamond business". After i had looked around for over 2 weeks I went to D. Gellar & son and even ran into a few fellow shoppers i had seen throughout the day at other stores. The guy at D Gellar made a joke about "their water fall being broken", which was a jab at Shane Company i guess. I looked around a bit and finally came upon a diamond that was within my budget. When i told the associate that i wanted to inspect the color he said "Let me get you a color tray" after which he folded a business card in half and threw it on the counter and laughed. I told him that the diamond was at the very top of my budget and i wanted to shop around a little more before deciding on where to buy. He told me that the next time i came back i should be prepared to pay what the diamond was actually worth and that the "deal" he had offered was a one day deal. I was young and totally out of my element to start with and this guy made me feel like a total idiot and like i had wasted his time; I mean, this was a huge amount of money for me! I have never felt so disrespected in my life and the feeling still sits in my gut 20 years later. this was the most unprofessional place of business i have been in even to this day. If you are young and dont want to be hassled I would stay away from D Gellar, they scarred me for life. FYI, I did return to Shane Co and got a beautiful ring which I have upgraded 3 times over the years and I have been treated with the utmost respect. I deal with the same sales girl that i did over 20 years ago and I am very happy to have found them...........waterfall and all.

I am going to write my review as a letter (taking the time to read this will tell you all you need to know about this business). Dear D. Geller & Sons Staff....With a HUGE Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to Taylor- How can my husband and I thank you enough? I have been in the customer service industry for years and I personally cant even remember the last time I was blown away by the GENUINE service from you. First, many many months ago, we went on a never-ending search to find our wedding/engagement rings. We searched everywhere (literally, and couldnt find what we wanted), and when we finally came to you, we found both in the same day and the same place! We were not ready to purchase, but your staff was so personable and patient that we kept you in the back of our minds. When my husband (then fiancee) and I decided to get married 6 months later, we did not want to wait, so in I walked with the task to order both our rings (2.5 weeks before our wedding). Taylor again helped us, and she was amazing. She was determined that we would get our rings the day of (a daunting task, and we realized going in that my ring may not be ready). I could make this story longer but to sum it up, Taylor and the whole staff (at 2 stores) worked tirelessly to make sure we got it the morning of! They were TEXTING (thats right, and it was great they were so easy and flexible to work with), and called us before the store opened to let us come get our rings. They were kind, and really just went way out of their way to make our special day perfect. If you want a great experience with buying jewelry, look no further. This group of people should be teaching the rest of the world what customer service should look like. Thank you Taylor. Thank you to the rest of the team who helped us make our day perfect. You are amazing, with hearts of gold, and please know your effort does not go unnoticed. Melanie Winters (Williams)

On my search for an engagement ring, this is the first and last place I went to. In the end, it was just as simple as this: D. Gellar had a super clean looking 1.5 ct EGL ESI2 for a little over 8 grand, and no one else did. I walked into Shane Co. and Solomon and asked point blank if they could beat what I had seen, and man did they try. I was tired of shopping and actually ready to pull the trigger on something by now, but they just couldnt show me what I had seen at D.Gellar for 8 grand. Nothing they were willing to let go of for that price was as clear. The benchmark had been set, and everything else now felt like an insult to my 20/20 eyesight. The closest they could come at this price was a EGL JVS1 which was clean but quite yellow against white paper, and a good, but smaller 1.3ct ESI2. I thanked them for their time and went straight back to D. Gellar... While I was there, the sales guy went above and beyond by remembering that I had asked about a custom Verragio setting that could not be done. No other jewelers could do it either, so I was ready to settle for one. Well, hed spoken to them and now they COULD actually do the setting the way I wanted. So I purchased the ring, and my fiance got this awesome custom thing that she too had been told was not possible... Overall, it was a great experience doing business with these guys, and in the future, Ill probably just skip the wild goose chase and go straight to D. Gellar.
