Went to this location today to grab a drink and a book, and read for awhile. As I was paying for my book, I asked for them to change the music, because it was not appropriate for a reading environment and was very depressing: It was a whole album of some middle age women singing about her man problem and bills and what not. So I was directed to the music department to speak with a guy named Shawn. I asked his if he could change the music to Jazz or something more reading appropriate. I can tell he got offered, but said he will change it. Meanwhile, another associate run to this side of the store and randomly lingers around. Long story short, they change the music to Jazz and two songs later back to the depression R&B album. I dont know if it was him or the other associate that changed it, but it was changed. Associates need to understand that this is not their personal home, this is a professional establishment where people came to read and study (not to mention the many kids that where at the kids book section). This type of music is not appropriate for such environment, so when a customer asks to have the music changed, there is no reason to deny them. I will be contacting head quarters about this.

Please dont set foot in this place unless you want to be stared at by police and security. Theyve somehow turned a Barnes and Nobles bookstore into some sort of police state. I thought bookstores were supposed to be a place of relaxation and escape. Not this one, where they treat everyone like a potential criminal. Cops and security guys patrol up and down the aisles all day long looking for evildoers. Avoid this store like the plague. Try the Borders up the street by Lenox Square. Ive been going there for years and have never seen a cop or security guy. Its a much more pleasant experience.

Incredibly rude and insulting staff behind the counter. I was shopping for a gift. I asked for help in finding something with a cross on it. The guy said "weve got bibles" as he paced back and forth, no eye contact, tossing a pen repeatedly in the air. I said, well no he already has that. Then in a very condescending voice he replied "well youre going to have to be a little more specific". I said never mind and left. I understand my question was broad but he shouldnt have been so dismissive.

Terrible service at the Starbucks. After waiting for my order too long, I asked about it. Without apology, I was treated as if I had made their morning poor by inquiring after my drink. Then after proceeding, slowly, to give me nothing like what I asked for, despite no one else waiting, seemed unfazed when presented with that reality. If this had been my only poor experience, I might write it off, but it has occurred a few times. This, however, will be my last.

I just called this store to find out some info on Jen Lancasters book signing. The male that answered the phone made it painfully obvious that he had no time to answer any questions. Before I could even finish my sentence, he rapidly said "Lemme check for you" & immediately put me on hold. This happened several times, and as I said, I hadnt even asked the question completely yet. Swell...really looking forward to coming here....NOT!

For serving the public this is a sloppily run store. You can wait forever on the phone because theyve forgotten you are there. Only one qualified person who really knows the Nook reader to help you with instructions in an informed way. Good luck on finding him at work. Want a high end Nook? Not have them in stock. Ive been waiting 2 ½ months. Parent company not shipping them.

This is pretty much the only bookstore in the area. The magazine selection is solid but the books are hit or miss. If its on the NYT Best Seller list, theyll have it. Otherwise, If you know what you want, take advantage of their app/website and order for in-store pickup. The staff is hard to find when you need help, the parking lot is the pits, and the Starbucks is rundown.

Cathryn the manager is super rude. This store only has 4 tables and 8 chairs. We sat on the floor and she had the worst attitude about it! She justified only having 8 chairs and tried to make an excuse for it! Barnes and noble should have more seating and more courteous staff!

Wow...stopped by to get a book and a coffee. Starbucks out front was most dirty place Id ever been to...until I hit the restroom. Cannot believe a major store in Buckhead can be so mismanaged

I came here after the passing of my grandmother and I had great support from a few of the Starbucks workers, as well as a comfortable book to read when I was feeling blue.

Regular Barnes and Noble. Clean, well staffed, and very decent stocks. The staff is friendly. They have a number of events to encourage children to read.

Great place to stop for books, read, and/or enjoy a cup of coffee. It also had one of the better Barnes and Noble Jr. Sections.
