I bought a land rover discovery from these guys back in January 2008 to bring with me to Alaska. I was really leary at the cost of the vehicle being so low ($8800), I thought for certain that the thing would just fall apart under me on the way up the ALCAN highway and I would freeze to death. Well, I couldnt have been more wrong. It made it all the way up here and the heated seats were great for the -30 degree spring time weather. The all wheel drive system worked like a champ in the snowy passes in the Yukon between Haines AK and Fairbanks, and the suspension was put to the test running around the various fishing rivers in search of grayling. To top it all off, I just sold the vehicle for $3000 more than I paid for it after more than a year. I tell you what, if someone claims that they bought a lemon from these guys they probably didnt have a clue about vehicles. The young guy that sold me the car was not trying to pressure any kind of a sale. When I asked him about the cost of support for the vehicle, he told me that I would probably have to replace a couple of sensors every two years, but other than that I shouldnt have much problems with it. I never replaced a single sensor and I was always showing off the air ride suspension to all my buddies. Since I lived out of state in Huntsville, the processing was a little more complicated than an in state transaction, but they were able to handle the paperwork without a hitch. If you are depending on a salesman at a non-franchised dealership to give you the best deal for a fabulous car, or if you dont have a clue how to tell a good car from a bad car; you shouldnt be buying a used vehicle from there or anywhere. For me, I am already looking forward to purchasing another vehicle from them for my wife to bring up here, they have a really nice range rover on there would look really good sitting in my driveway and the price is incredibly reasonable. Maybe I can turn another profit on that one too.

Absolutely horrible. They kept trying to force me to give up my number and forcing me to come in just so they could show me a copy of the AutoCheck. No thanks. Im already e-mailing you guys because I am INTERESTED, but I guess not anymore. The AutoCheck cars history comes from a computer. They could have easily taken pictures of it on their phone (super simple task for a person who isnt computer savvy) and email it back to their business email and back to me. But nope, they want to keep playing games on how their "scanner" is "broken". They even refuse to read anything I said in the emails on how to do that simple task and still their only response is a basic "scanner is broken". If they refuse to listen in a simple email request about an AutoCheck, what makes you think theyll listen to you in person? Most normal dealerships email carfax/autocheck the second you send in a car inquiry.

I went with my boss here today. 8-27-2016 and was looking at a 2014 Jeep with 30k Miles on it. We were real interested in getting it for my sister and when we were inspecting it we noticed a leak on the front end and asked our sales rep about it. To which he responded it doesnt have any leaks so we suggested he get down underneath and look with us and he got an attitude with us. He then told us we were the type of people that they didnt want on there lot. I wouldnt send my worst enemy to these cons. Beware and be careful because they obviously dont care about their customers. Because we were a bit dirty from having worked on our equipment we were unjustly treated.

In response to the review regarding us not doing this customers title work, she is spreading false information about Smart Cars. She did file a complaint with the State and the State dismissed her complaint after reviewing our files. She unabled us to do her title work that is why she is being fined by the State, not us. We at Smart Cars care about our customers and take pride in our business. Unfortunatly when dealing with the public you sometimes run into someone who simply cannot be pleased. We can supply references from all of our satifsied customers.

Great local place to check out a reasonably good selection of jeep and Land Rover and other used cars. Most seem to be in above or average condition and they have a on site mechanic that was very helpful when I spoke with him about a jeep Cherokee XJ that I was interested in buying.. I Havent purchased a SUV yet because I am trying to save up enough cash so that I wont have to finance / witch they also have available. I will be back to buy when I can afford / thanks Jim and Ron for all the help yesterday!

I have always loved the older box style Jeep Cherokees.. This dealer had about 9 or 10 different ones some with low mileage and some with higher. I finally after about the 4th time stopping in the dealer found the one I wanted / could afford. After driving it around for about 3 weeks I found it had a small oil leak call them and there mechanic Jim was very helpful and fixed the leak for a reasonable price. Might move up to a jeep wrangler someday and this lot has many for me to choose.

Do NOT buy anything from this dealership. I purchased a Jeep two weeks ago - after having to repair the brakes right away, the check engine light came on. Palmer Jeep said. "Someone" sold me a vehicle with a known cracked cylinder head which requires the engine be replaced. I called Smart Cars and the owner wouldnt talk to me and the salesman said he feels bad but thats it. Warning- bring an educated Jeep mechanic with you to thoroughly review what youre buying.

I bought a vehicle from Smart Cars as is. I pulled out and got onto 75 where I had a blow out. When I called Ron, he jumped in his truck, and brought me a new tire and changed it for me. He did not ask for payment and just said thanks for your business! I have had no issues with my vehicle going on a year. It was a great purchase. I love my new Jeep. I love the service from Smart Cars.

Personalized attention, straight-forward answers and a comfortable place to purchase (and sell) a vehicle. It was worth the ride up there from in-town and I was able to wrap up the deal in one visit. David the sales guy was experienced, knowledgeable and a straight-shooter. Traded in my truck for a Land Rover LR3 that has been running like a gem since the purchase date.

Went to test drive a 4 door jeep and on the website the jeep showed a navigation system. When I got into the jeep I discovered the navigation system was replaced with a factory radio. I asked the salesman what happened to the navigation system and he told me he would have to look on the website....I explained to him that I was looking at the website. Go with caution!
