The thing with a used car review is it needs to be written a little while after the purchase to give a true perspective of the timeline: It has only been a few months since I purchased my vehicle from Sunshine Auto, with Richie and Melissa. And I feel its only fair to breakdown the review into pieces so that it makes sense. Richie and Melissa: Great, nice people, and used car sales people at best. They were unfortunately unwilling to negotiate off of the full asking price, because they felt the vehicle was such a top notch used car and in great condition. From the first day, the windshield wiper fluid container leaked out the fluid the moment fluid was put in. A day after I bought the vehicle is when I called them to let them know they forgot to fill it up. Richie swore they didnt forget. He ended up being right because it ended up being that the reservoir has multiple leaks in it. I have put less than 10k mile, mostly highway driving, on the vehicle since purchasing it, and with each oil change (3 total) the coolant reservoir has been near empty needing to be filled. Also the engine has been low on oil each time it has gone in with obvious leaks pointed out by the oil change places. As of today it is costing me another $1,100, only a few months after purchasing it for a very high price based on their belief about condition of the vehicle, to replace the intake manifold gasket along with another gasket which was the source of both the oil and the coolant leaks. So either they knew it had all these leaks, and decided the buyer wouldnt notice right away, their mechanics are inept, or they just didnt care and wanted to make money, which isnt honorable. Also, the front passenger fender looked like it had been in an accident, and possibly just banged out by a body shop and banged back on, which causes the passenger door to RUB and CREAK only every time its opened because of the metal on metal. That alone probably wouldnt have warranted a poor review, but given other performance issues listed above, I chose to wait and see what popped up before writing the review. Its just like any other used car place, sell it to you high, you drive away thinking you got a pretty good vehicle, and then with a little bit of use, the problems start to emerge.

This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. I initially called about a jeep that I was interested in seeing, after meeting Richie and explaining my money situation as well as my daily commute he told me that he would not feel comfortable selling me that car because he knew it wasnt going to be a safe and reliable daily driver for me considering I commute 60 miles 5 days a week. I could have walked away, with him losing a sale, but he didnt care about that he genuinely cared about me buying a car that I would be happy with and one that would be able to accommodate my daily commuting. He went as far as pricing out several different cars along with payments and such, not pressuring me ONCE, and spent hours with me on a day that they werent even open. I have bought four cars in the past 3 years that have broken down on me and are un-repairable, so I was fearful of enduring that again but he was patient with me and very understanding. I honestly could not be happier with my choice and I would one hundred percent recommend them to ANYONE looking to buy a vehicle. Hes not out to screw you like every other car dealer out there, hes honest and very friendly!

I would never ever ever ever recommend… I would never ever ever ever recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy. By the time we made it home in our junk dodge Durango we had issues. We talked to the so called manager that promised to help us........... She never did so we stopped making our payment. When it broke down completely she said let me get it towed here and we will get it fixed and go from there. Well once they got the car she changed her story and said I dont know what you did to the car that they werent going to fix it and we need to catch up the payment or they wont give us the car back. when I spoke to her prior she said the would get us in another car if that one had a major issue. But once she got the car back it all changed. NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. we had our car 2 months and had problems the whole time and she told us oh well it is a used car and hung the phone up. all next week I will be holding up my sign outside this so called car lot. This place dont even deserve one star! But I had to give it something.

I would rate Sunshine after-sales service as First-Class. A machine is a machine and may serve you better than others as well as become a pain in your life at times. My experience with the machine was painful. However, the pain was not only shared by Sunshine staff, but also they made every attempt to fix things up. Richie, Melissa and Joseph are very warm-hearted and they take care of you not only during the sale but also if you run into some trouble with your car after the sale. I had to undo the deal all the way for the problems I faced with the machine, and Sunshine staff helped me with the undo with ease. They are honest and dependable people. Hard to find such prudent dealers around. My car deal witnessed a sunset in the end, but Sunshine shines bright for me! If I were to look for a used car in future, I would head straight to Sunshine for the after-sales experience I had with them in last week. :)

A friend "bought" a car from here and was told if she didnt like it they would put her in something else with no problems. So 1 1/2 hours after she signed the papers guess what over heated?? Yup the car, she calls them and says ok this is a piece of crap I need to be put in a different car. NOPE!!! They said we will fix this one...... Fine, goes to their shop.... Is it fixed?? NOPE!! Broke down 3 times for the same problem and still they wont put her in a new car! The guy she dealt with says "Its used and its a cheap car, your gonna have problems"....... LEMONS!!! ALL LEMONS!!!! They buy cheap and sell high then go back on their word!!! So $700+ later they offered to take the car back and not hold her accountable for the loan..... Yeah because they just made their money back off of her....

Richie was amazing from beginning when I called inquiring about a single car, through when I got there which was only an 45 minutes before they closed on a Friday. He took his time explaining which cars were within the amount I had for a down payment, he took his time, gave his honest opinions, didnt try to push me anyway. After I had driven three different cars, I finally picked one, very low miles, absolutely beautiful condition, Richie and staff stayed late with me to finish paper work. I drove out that Friday about 45 minutes after closing, with nothing but a smile, handshake, and appropriate paperwork. Thank you again Richie. I would recommend this dealership to anyone I know. Nothing but helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Buy your car from here, you will NOT regret it.
