Jan 3rd 2016 visit was disappointing...I had driven my wifes mini-van in order to run a couple of errands. Stopped by Luekens in Tarpon Springs to pickup two 1/2 liter bottles of tonic water, one single can of German Beer and a four pack of Grolsch (total cost was ~ $10). Because I was not driving my car, I did not have my ID (which I keep in my car). Walked up the counter and pulled out my American Express card and got an immediate: Sorry, I need to see an ID...I put the Amex card away and started pulling out cash...once again, sorry our story policy is to see an ID. Maybe I should have prefaced this with the fact that I am 48 years old, my hair, what is left of it, is gray...I am way obvious NOT under 21. As I walked out the door, I heard the much younger person standing in the line next to me say: "But you didnt check my ID?" I guess I will stick to B-21, family owned & operated company, has better prices and bigger selection...in the 22 years shopping there, I never had this kind of problem. What an embarrassment and a complete waste of time. Marc

Ever try an adult beverage at a bar and ask yourself "where do I get this nectar from the Gods to consume in the comfort of my home?" Well the answer is Luekens. This place has everything imaginable and some that hasnt even been thought yet? Craft beer from the deepest darkest places on Earth? They got it. Local rum that you had on the booze cruise while vacationing on some small island? They got it. Some rare tequila made by a celebrity? They got it. It is like going to sleep and then waking up in Santas workshop but only instead of toys, there is alcohol.

This place is Amazing! They have everything you could possibly want. If they dont they will order it for you. Bobby one of the managers there orders what ever keg that i need, in a very short turn around time. The employees there are all very helpful too. I drive 30-40 minutes to do business with them. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a full service Liquor store. They are my go to venue for everything alcohol. Thank you guys!

Leukens consistently has the best prices, but they could do with a little more effort on prices and discounts for repeat shoppers. Their "coupon" that they frequently put in the Tampa Bay Times is often nonexistent, and they dont always honor it. A bulk discount (for parties) or generally more helpful management/staff would go a long way. This store in particular is very nice and clean, and they have a great selection.
