My girlfriend and I went to this farms annual open to the public event. It was very disappointing to us and pretty much everyone there. There were some really hokey folk singers there, very little crop, and I mean very little. There is a special area in the back brimming full of vegitables that "members" that pay huge fees (see their website, if you can get it to load) to be a part of. Meanwhile, all of the visitors were in this really long line, just to purchase about 4 different vegitable types available. Their members grow food onsite, and they dont know what they are doing, so everything grows poorly and looks frail. There were no good snacks or food to buy except snow cones and weird veggy burgers from an outside vendor, not even from the farm. And all of the crops, and outside vendors, all had very expensive prices, and no selection. It was very mediocre and carnival like. Very small amount of land, which you can clearly see in google maps, is only about 3 acres of actual growing space, and the public is not welcome during June-October. I go to alot of these, and this one is no good. It also is in, and visited by people from the neighboring ghetto.

Listen to the lady who was saying people who visit this place was from the ghetto well first of all there are also all walks of life there and unless u are a million air and have UR maid going shopping for you , but again UR not cus u did say u go to all kinds of farmers markets then plZ save all that racist bull crap . To even mention that u are cold hearted and rude who cares who shops there what poor people cant eat the same way u may eat healthy , let me also say UR in Tampa not Naples fl so if this Tampa place is Too Ghetto perhaps u should move to Palm beach wish the rich and wealthy or Naples , but UR here so nother words quit complaining and being judge mental cus one day thT could be u life has no guarantee ask God!!!!!

I love this market. It has real local vendors and real local organic foods. It is small and meant to be. The first time I brought home their eggs, I was shocked at how thick the shells were. I was used to frail store bought eggs. These chickens were clearly healthy. That said, I really do feel compelled to comment on a previous post: Selective variety and imperfect looking foods are signs of true organic farming. If you visit a market, and find loads of different crops, and/or the crop looks perfect, then the chance is high that it is flown in from another country or state, and that it is a hybrid or genetically modified. You may prefer to shop at Whole Foods or another overpriced conglomerate.

I went to Sweetwater Farm. From what I visited people are so warm and helpful to me about organic foods All foods looked so good and fresh. Its nice have diversity of all farmers market not just Sweetwater. I wish i am member to get large amount of organic foods i suppose they can afford to be member. However I can buy at public market on every Sunday with EBT. The downside is some vendors only prefer cash. I hope in near future it will change for better. Being disabled and have healthy foods would help improve my health :) I shall buy more from farm. i hope i can grow my own organic food at my apt.

Ive always had a good time at the farm. The public can volunteer and get to know the place better and see exactly what can be done in small space. Florida growing season is unique to the rest of the U.S. so the farm does close down in summer months. The market is quaint and cozy, not big and crazy. Get to know awesome local vendors and if you spend any time there, it becomes like family. Definitely worth checking out on a Sunday afternoon, Oct-May when the weather is nicest!

It was cute for a neighborhood garden. I might not have been so disappointed if it wasnt advertised as more of a farmers market - but there were more random vendors than vegetables! Not what I expected... Had to go to Publix for veggies after. Wasted trip. If I enjoyed gardening, however - it would have been a great deal more appealing.

In the heart of the city this is a hidden gem. I could go here just to relax and walk around. The staff took us on a tour educating us to an organic farm lifestyle. We learned how to grow organically and what you can/cant eat naturally. Theyve inspired me again and I cant wait to visit again.

Sweetwater Organic Farm is a gem in the city of Tampa. Amazing veggies, fresh picked that day, last for weeks in your fridge. Spices, hemp clothing, unusual gifts and lots of smiles. Join the Co-op and receive bags of assorted fresh picked veggies; youll never shop at the the supermarket again.

I love this farm. Its a joy to work the land, which includes a whole off-site property, and the produce is fresh and healthy. I like that there are few vendors. Other larger markets feel like flea markets. This is a farmers market. Fresh food, just a few crafts, live music, and farmers.

I have been coming here for the Sunday Morning Market for years! The farm is beautiful and the people who run it are wonderful and so passionate about providing fresh, healthy produce to the community. I love going to the yoga classes also!

The Sunday market is phenomenal! Smaller than most with just a few booths, this market is accessible and has great products from local vendors. The produce from the farm itself is delicious. Get in on their beans when theyre in season.

Sweetwater is the ORIGINAL example of organic farming. I must admit I was amazed to find it in Tampa, but the CSA and the market are just amazing. And, the veggies are the freshest I have ever tasted. WOW!

Liked the place but the produce was expensive and not a very big variety. Although the items I did take a look at were fresh.

All fresh grown right from the farm there, but seemed a bit high in price and not a lot of selection when we were there.
