The gun department is terrible. I was at the counter for a little more than thirty minutes and could not get waited on. There was one customer speaking with a salesperson about an order and one other salesperson that appeared to be working with a customer on some paperwork. The salesperson that was helping the customer with the order went to a register with the customer after about five minutes. For the next twenty minutes, the salesperson and the customer stood at the register and talked and talked. During that time, two other salespeople came over, joined in on the conversation for a while, and then finally one of them went through a door behind the counter and the other just walked off the other way. I was standing at the counter the entire time and not one of them even acknowledged that I was there, nothing. I understand that not everyone can be waited on at once, but I was the only other person beside the two I mentioned that was not being helped. After more than thirty minutes, I would expect one of the four salespeople to at least come over and let me know that they would help me as soon as they could. I have shopped at this store quite a few times, not including the gun department, without any problems and was able to get help when needed. However, after being completely ignored I will never return. There are too many other options.

I purchased a set of Costa Del Mar sunglasses at this location on June 21 of this year. Upon arriving to my house, I realized that the glasses had a few blemishes. I called the store back to replace them, however as it turns out I purchased the last set of the frame/lens style. Gander instructed me to send them back to Costa and that they will be replaced and fixed no problem. That is exactly what I did, expect Costa did not really live up to their reputation. Keep in mind these glasses were brand new and the damage had to be done at Costa during assembly. There was no way the glasses could be damaged in this location by dropping/dragging or whatever. They refused to fix it and wanted $120 dollars to fix something barely visible. At this time I refused and contacted Brian at Gander Mountain. Not only did he go the extra step to talk to Costa directly, but he also paid the full price of repair to them. I will definitely be back at Store #355 for more. Please keep in mind this is my first experience with Gander Mountain and Costa Del Mar.

So far Ive been to the store 3 times and Ive had good experiences every time in every department. They have a wide selection of products and a much wider selection online which you can order for store pickup. If you dont like it when you pick it up you can return it. I bought a backpack at the store and didnt like it, then ordered one online. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. A guy in the gun department walked me through several options for hunting and was very knowledgeable from what I could tell (Im no gun expert). So far I bought some camo, a Ridge Reaper 1800 backpack (which is awesome BTW) and some smaller items and all have been up to high standards. They are one of the only places you can go to get matching camo gear in one place. I just wish they had more of the online selection in the store but like I said you can order it online and change your mind in the store if you dont like what you bought. They might be a little bit pricey in some areas but overall its a convenient place to shop.

Horrible service, I am never going back to this store. I bought a gun from them back in 2016. I made the purchase online but was never notified that it was delivered to the store. When I picked it up, as usual it was a struggle to find someone to help me. Why is it every time I go in this store all of the staff is in the back room? I went back in over the weekend to buy a new gun. I took a number and was greeted fairly quickly. The store wasnt busy, so I thought I might be able to get some help. However, the guy behind the counter couldnt have been less helpful. I assume they must not work on commission because he acted like I interrupted him watching a movie in the back room or something. I asked a few questions and got one word responses. I got the hint after one minute with this guy. He was done with me and scurried back to the back room.

I have purchased a MULTITUDE of items throughout the years, and at this gander mountain store. However this was my LAST. It NEVER fails, that there WILL be an issue, when placing an order here . In the most recent case, I purchased a firearm on Sunday (listed IN STOCK ) was GUARANTEED TO ARRIVE BY WEDS .. here we are Friday and Im being told I must wait till Monday since "fed ex made a mistake" The process for purchasing items NOT IN STORE is ludicrous. For my troubles I received a $50 gift card ( as if that gets the item in my hand) and was told even If I cancel the order I have TO COME BACK TO THE STORE TO GET A REFUND. This company is a joke, never has there been an pleasant experience when buying firearms . This was my last time setting foot in this store I will be purchasing my firearms and equipment from a more reliable dealer

Workers just walk around and does not ask for help. The ones that do either try and do not succeed. A few months ago I went to buy a AR15. I waited there for 45 minutes. After waiting I decided to go to shooters world and left out of shooters world with my new AR15 within 15 minutes. I tried again to purchase a Leupold scope in Gander mountain and waited there even longer and this time I decided to check amazon. Found one and came in the following day. Now add how much a AR15 and a Leupold vxr 4-12x50mm. Thats how much Gander lost. Gander only has one worker that actually knows a lot more than anyone especially about the 50 Beowulf I own. Everytime my brother invites me to go to gander. I tell him sure if that one guy is there, other than that. I will buy my rifles somewhere else and accessories on amazon.

People, dont go and dont buy nothing here, rudest manager Ive seen in my life works here. Was about to purchase new to me backpack, well it was obviously used and put back on shelf again. Worn out around and black bottom and corners, it is OD so dark spots are visible all over. Manager just said it was my opinion and told me not to come back anymore, price was the same as for a new one btw. I didnt want lower price, just new for the original price. Anyway, it was disappointing and now I see why this would be one of the reasons they will close the gates. Mind you I drove 15 miles because they had only one in and got to experience only some old manager. Customer satisfaction is a must if you want to survive in this game. Again, dont go and dont buy
