Before I begin, I would like to say that the guys in the firearm dept and the bow dept are all extremeley helpful, knowledge and friendly (really you couldnt find any better guys). The problem is getting the chance to talk with them..the biggest problem with this store is that they are vastly understaffed. I have literally spent thousands of dollars in this store over the years but my recent experiences are the reason this store is on my list of last resort stores to go to when no one else has what I want in stock. I went saturday to purchase a gun and took a number. I got number 74 and they were currently on number 50. I left when after standing there for more than an hour they were only on number 54. The guys were doing their jobs well but there were only two of them, when I felt there should have been 10. I went back Sunday to purchase the gun and they werent quite as busy. I waited about an hour and found out the gun I wanted wasnt in stock (I would have called to check first but when I try half the time no one answers and I have personally seen the ringing phones go unanswered when im actually in the store waiting as well, this problem could be easily fixed with more staff, theres only so much a few guys can do ) so I looked at another gun I was interested in and then the guy told me that their background check system has been down for two days so I wouldnt be able to pick a gun up for 4 days if I wanted one. I was pretty upset and felt that they should have made an announcment every few minutes to all the people waiting to buy guns, to let everyone know that the system was down. But they just let everyone wait on Saturday and Sunday just so when they finally got up there they could tell them they couldnt take a gun home that day. Im not blaming them for it being down, but they should have been honest so as not to waste tons of peoples time. The only other problem ive had here was when I took in my recurve bow to buy a string. They have no way to string recurves and after watching the guys try to figure out how to do it for 5 minutes I had to end up restringing it myself so they could install the nock points. I would think a bow shop should have everything they need to string all types of bows. I want to say again all this is not the fault of the staff..dont blame the guys if you go here...its the fault of store managment for not having guys to staff the place properly

so this store has been great. normaly spend around $2,000 a year in the heabron store and the last time I was there was going to try some new broad heads for deer hunting and so a fella that worked there guided me to the clearance broad heads and told me they were verry good broad heads and were $15. so I go to put them on my bolts and what ? they are way to small to screw into my bolt so I showed them to my best friend Erick Kreager witch ownes his own archery range, doese guided hunts and prosses all meat, he says he never seen nothing like that ever must be a new thing comming out so realy no big deal I guess cuz I still have the reciept I just take them back and get other ones, I was wanting some other things to aswell nomaly $200 spent b4 I get out of there lol but when I take them back they said they cant give me the $15 back cuz they were on clearance ofcorse I dont want the money store credit will be fine cuz I plane on getting quite a few things but they wouldnt give me credit either ! WTF? so I said well you just keep them then ,I have no use for them or this store any more ! talked to 2 of my friends about this and they wont be going back there if they gonna treat me like that over $15 when they know what I spend there! money is not an isue with me and when I have the reciept no store has ever not at the least gave me store credit ! good job Scott from vance outdoors in heabron ! you lost $5,000 a year in sales between me and my 2 friends !

I always try to work with the company before filing a negative review but Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore (Buckeye or Vance Outdoors online store) was unwilling to correct their error and thus this review I ordered a used glock 22 with “night sights”. It is listed in the product description title as having nights and in the product description as having night sights. The listing states that the night sights are not guaranteed to glow. The companies that manufacture night sights will refurbish the sights for a small fee so I was not concerned if they glowed or not because I could get them glowing. The gun I received did not have night sights, instead it had the factory glock sights. I called SOS to ask them to correct this issue and the supervisor said that “Factory sights are the same as night sights that do not glow.” If you have any sort of brain you know that they are not the same at all. Factory sights are factory sights and not night sights. Customer services shows just how good a company is and the customer service that I received from SOS shows that they are more concerned about making money than they are about customer satisfaction. They have my money and I got the shaft. I give them 0 star review.

My experience was generally good and the prices are great, my only bad experience was today. After trying to buy a gun for the first time on a Friday and I was forced to wait for a backround check. Thats fine I thought. The guy that rang me up though told me repeatedly that if I dont get a call by Tuesday to stop by on tuesday. So I did. When I get there that Tuesday the guy that takes care of me is different and tells me that I have to wait till thursday and told me it was my mistake and acted like I was a fool for coming a half hour from my house saying the weekends dont count. At this point I had told him 3 times thats not what I was told and I was very upset at this point. Then he finally says "well you were informed incorrectly". At this point I had to leave. For short I expected much better in the terms of the guy that sold me the gun to know what he was doing and the second guy to treat me with more respect and give me much better customer service rather than treating me like Im an idiot. Ive had great customer service before today and so has my family thats why Im giving them 3 stars

Crappiest service Ive ever had. I went in to purchase a bow, told the sale associate what I wanted, and we found one that would work in my price range. It was taken out and set up, then I waited an hour for the range to clear out so it could be test fired. The original sales person had to leave to go to lunch, so left me with another sales person, who took one look at the bow picked out, put it back, and took out a different one. This was all done without a single word to me. He strung the bow and let me fire it, but once I saw the price, I told him I couldnt afford it - he basically went "oh well" and that was it. This guy spoke about five words to me. I was never offered options, he never told me his name, I waited around for an hour just to leave feeling very patronized and ignored and empty handed.I will NOT be returning.
