Everything was going fine till I got done with the first eye doctor. Got my first trail pair of contacts, and didnt want to order my glasses or boxes of contacts till I knew that they were right. ( I knew they werent but the doctor insisted they would settle in ) a week later I went in for my follow up because they werent the right prescription. I had a new doctor that was friendly and seem to want to get the right prescription for me. We agreed on a prescription, and she proceeded to get trail pairs. They were out of stock of this one so she would order them and said they would take about a week or so to come in. I called two weeks later to check, told me they would call me when they came in. Another week went by, I called to check same story. I waited the whole month out and called corp. Corperate called my location. OOOOOOO come to find out nothing was ordered. I have been wearing off prescription contacts for 1 month and they come in and I dont even get a call. Will never to go to his store, will never refer to this company. I dont even want my prescription anymore. Going to a new doctor. Do not waste your time here.

One of the reasons I chose Eyeglass World over their competitors was the fact that they are proud to offer same day service. While I understand this cant always be the case, my expectation would be that if you cant pull off the same day service, that it might be a day or (at most) 2 before my glasses are ready. I was in before 11 on Tuesday April 12th, got an eye exam from a wonderful doctor, and then sat down with a gentleman to order my glasses. After charging my insurance and taking my $250 payment, he then tells me that it will be a few days, because the lab is really backed up. I am writing this on April 19th (7 days later) after having called to find out that they STILL arent ready and that they "might" be ready tonight, but possibly tomorrow morning. I do not have any kind of special or weird eye problem , so 7-8 days for a place that advertises same day service is completely unacceptable - especially since I ended up having my insurance charged and paying out of pocket just as much as I would have if Id gone anywhere else. They need to be embarrassed of themselves. I know I am embarrassed for them.

It was an okay experience. The lady at the front desk just had no rush in helping others or to speed the process up. I was told my contacts that I regularly order will cost 2x as much as it would and I was just shocked. Glad they gave me a prescription card to order elsewhere. Also, she charged me $70 when my co-pay was $10. Definitely going to make a claim about this. Also, not to mention, the lady forgot to give me back my insurance card so now I have to make a trip back. I will never return to this office unless it is to retrieve my insurance card in which I am planning to do. UPDATED: 06/22/2015 One of the people from consumer relations reached out to me and gave me two complimentary boxes of 90 day contacts so that was very helpful. I did have to wait a little bit longer for them and had to follow up but I finally got them, and it was wonderful. I am still trying to figure out this whole allowance thing with my insurance so I can get this resolved.

UPDATE: 10/02/15 I went in to get my refund as I already stated with the supervisor and the employees gave me such a nasty stare and said "thats the girl who wrote the review" and managed to say other things under their breath. I am SO glad that I took my business away from them and will be going to a more professional office! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE, SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! I went in after my exam to get a pair of glasses and I decided to get one for $159 since I had insurance to cover about $120 of it. I still ended up paying $163 WITH insurance because they recommended that I have all this stuff for my glasses when I didnt want them and she still managed to charge me for it. This place is horrible, please avoid if possible. Save yourself the money and headache. I will be calling them to see what is going on with my order for glasses because thats a rip off but this place is well known for that.

I went to have new lenses put in my old frames and the ruined my old frames. When they put the new lenses in they sanded the finish off of my frame. I explained this to them and showed them the sanding marks. They person behind the counter told me they are not responsible for any damage done to the frames when installing the lenses and dismissed me. I asked to speak with the manager and was told the same thing and offered a 30% off coupon for contact lenses. I have a pair of antique finish glasses that now have a silver scrated up finish around the front and antique still down the side. I will not wear them at all in public. That is the treatment I recieved from Eyeglass World after getting an exam there and buying lenses there with all the bells and whistles. I will never go there again.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Made an appointment and it took 3 hours for an eye exam. The girls were hightly unprofessional. Sitting at the front desk texting and on facebook. One girl took me to the back to do the basic exams and she was on the phone texting hiding behind the machine. Then to top it off I approached the front desk and both the girls were on their phone and it took them a good minute to look up at me and acted like I was the one bothering them and taking them away from all their "hard work". I would NEVER recommend anyone to go to this place. They are rude, schedule appointments and do not keep the time, and the office is not in very good shape.

Wow. Ive read some pretty crappy reviews. Lets get something straight, an upscale boutique this place is not. But a nice well managed staff & a good balance of high end frames & more affordable options. I brought my daughter here a day before coming in for myself & on both occasions we had more than competent service. Both doctors were professional & laughed at my jokes(Im pretty funny tho). I plan on going back as soon as I need to. My only complaint would be that the frames I really wanted were a tad bit too short & I had to settle for something else. But no ones fault but my big faces I recommend this place.

Absolutely ridiculous. Im actually going to file a complaint with the county. Multiple scamming and law violations from business practices (like a min. fee for credit card use, to breaking federal law about taking prescription of eye glasses with me, to fire door (locked) violations). I wish I had read reviews for this business before wasting my time and before being physically threatened as well. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. NOTE: even their own site shows only two (likely fake) good reviews. Look at the overwhelming NEGATIVE reviews from this review to others (yelp, etc.).
