My car over heated and knew it was either the water pump or thermostat and had my car towed to Pep Boys Saint Cloud. Quoted me $560 for the water pump. I then called the Pep Boys in Kissimmee, 4 miles away, and asked for a quote for the exact same service and water pump, they quoted me $390 for the same thing. I then had them break down the parts and labor for me. Saint cloud, Procool water pump $110, Kissimmee, Procool water pump $94. Pep Boys website had the Procool water pump for $45. In addition , their computer showed this a 2 hour job. This math does not add up!!! After pointing out all of this to the manager, Eric. He tried to explain that his sales guys and even mechanics work on commission. Buyer beware, they really are in the business of exploiting people! I am a pure capitalist and am all for a business making a profit and I do understand the overhead for a business to stay in business, but come on!!!! Called a friend who picked up a water pump for $52.99 from NAPA and installed the water pump for me for $210, that included the water pump. Really, Kissimmee Pep Boys was about the correct price. Very disappointed in Saint Cloud Pep Boys and will definitely not be going back.

I have always been taught that a good and honest mechanic was hard to find. You, at PepBoys, have found a gem in John Trent! He has been my mechanic since I moved to Orlando in 2008. He was working for a competitor of yours, at the time. I have followed John to wherever he has gone and will continue to follow him wherever he goes. (Praying that he wont be transferred anymore) I now live in Tampa, with business in Orlando, and will ALWAYS drive the now 1.75 hours to have my maintenance and repairs done by John. He and his staff at the current location offer exemplary customer service and automotive knowledge that all should follow. I have been in the customer service industry, in one form or another, since 1993. I know how hard it is to find an employee that is a natural "people pleaser"! I highly recommend that John be deemed a management trainer. I have visited the PepBoys in Tampa, once, and will not go back, due to their lack of customer service skills. I would much rather drive 1.75 hours to have the reassurance that my car and I both will be treated well. Thank you John Trent, for your phenomenal hospitality, honesty and hard work. :) Your forever customer, Elena Westrop

Recently, when evacuating from Irma, we, 2 women in our 60s, a 10 yr old boy, 3 crates of animals experienced a horrendous hammering noise from the front end on the turnpike. Managed to get off the highway and into this shop. It was almost 6pm. They wouldnt even consider looking at our car. All I asked was whether they could tell us if it was safe to continue to Ocala even if they couldnt do a repair. We couldnt see any damage. They absolutely refused and waved at the Goodyear store across the street. Goodyear welcomed us, took a quick ride in the car, diagnosed a defective tire (2 wks old) that had shredded on the inside rim so couldnt be seen, changed it and sent us safely on our way. We were a few miles short of a complete blow out which could have sent us careening into the major traffic on the turnpike. Pep Boys, shame on you for your no room at the inn attitude. You couldnt stay a few extra minutes for women and children in need during a mandatory evacuation. I will never patronize a Pep Boys establishment and hope others will take note of their callous attitude.

We got a signal in the car that a tire was low. We stopped at the WAWA on 19 and added air. I noticed a nail in the tire and it was leaking slowly. I filled the tire to 36 lbs and we drove to find a tire store. We stopped at the Goodyear store near Office Depot and Chilies on 192. I figured we could eat while they fixed it. We left the car there. While eating they called and said we needed a new tire. I knew it was bullcrap! Only 30K on a Sonata. So I said no just plug it and they said "No" it was not in good shape because I drove on it. When I parked it in their lot it was not completely flat... I saw that before I walked in. They had put the spare on and they CHARGED ME 22 DOLLARS!! We left and went to PepBoys across the street. John TRENT the manager fixed the flat and told me he was sorry I had been treated so poorly across the street and then said "NO CHARGE!" He mounted the repaired tire and balanced it for free!! I will always go back to PepBoys in Saint Cloud. They have earned my business!! NEVER go to Goodyear!

My name is John Urbancik . I live in New York and visit Disney a few times a year , I drive a 2000 chevy suburban which is getting up there in age , I have no worries about if I have any problems while I am in Florida any more . My wipers were not working and I drove to there shop . They were having a hard time getting the part I needed , They located the part it was getting late and the supply house said they could not get deliver the part today in time that I would have to pick it up if I wanted it or wait till tomorrow . As I was leaving one of the boys runs up to me and says oh no your not going to pick up the part . I was like I have no choice , They said is raining season and might rain at any time . Come inside and relax , It s to dangerous for you . They went in there own personal car to pick up the part and stayed a little late installing my part , These guys cared about my personal safety and treated me like family , I highly recommenced this place to everyone .

The manager here is dishonest and lazy. I went to get an oil change, tire rotation, and tire balancing done. Simple work. They didnt bother to touch my car until 30 minutes after my appointment (it was not busy). 90 minutes later they were finally done with the car. When the tech gave me my keys I could immediately tell they didnt bother to rotate or balance the tires. I asked him why and he said the tread was starting to get a bit low so he didnt bother touching them. That in itself is BS because my tires should last another 20K miles, but on top of that the manager who did my paperwork never bothered to tell me "hey, we didnt rotate or balance your tires today". He just took my money and hoped I wouldnt notice. I will never be going back.

I live easily 30 to 40 mins. away, but made the drive to what I thought was still big 10 tires in hope to get the same family orientated service I got the first time. To my surprise the service was even better. John there store manager and Hector one of there sales associates really did an excellent job of making me feel great about a close to $1,000 purchase. John also came out to the shop and showed me a couple of things I could also take care of that will extend the life of my truck and the new tires I put on it. Long story short, they did a great job and have earned my future business. Adam Dodge
