If I could leave a review with zero stars, I would. The two girls running the store were both on their cellphones while myself and other customers were present they also didnt offer assistance not once to me or any of us. Thats not what pissed me off however. Im not exaggerating when I say that every single animal pin was extremely dirty and they had very little or no food and water at all. The kittens had none and they had nothing to play with either. The ferrets had no food and didnt even have a bowl for water. The bowl they did have was nasty and had old food stuck to the sides, kinda like their poop pile in the corner of their pin. I almost forgot to mention the stench that hits your face as soon as you open the front door. The mice had the same issue, little food no water and poop everywhere with soaked bedding. It smelled so horrible. And the poor things had absolutely no toys. I even heard the girl on register asking the other one if the animals had been taken care of and she replied with "yeah I just checked them" ....... Im just completely shocked, she didnt even check to make sure either, instead she sat down behind the counter on her phone occasionally whispering to the other employee and staring at my mother and I while we snuck toys into the kittens cage. To make things worse, I wasnt able to buy my dog food because the card swipe machine was malfunctioning due to the storm or so she said and I asked her if she knew where the reset button was on it, she claimed that the only way to reset it was by restarting her whole computer. I kinda thought she was going to do that until she just stared at me for a few seconds. So from the 6pm storm all the way up until 9pm this company missed out on how much business because the associate didnt feel like restarting the system? It sucks because this is the closest location to my house and I have always chose Pet Supermarket over the competition because of the super friendly and helpful staff, but this is just so disappointing that I dont know If I want to return.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE: Id shopped at Pet Supermarket early December when I had an AWFUL SHOPPING EXPERIENCE. While holiday shopping for my puppy I witnessed a rather disturbing confrontation between a female associate and what looked like a male manager. I was baffled by the tones and words being stated between these two. In the five years Id shopped there Id NEVER encountered anything even remotely like this situation. Perhaps if a manager has a need to raise his voice to an associate he should do it off of the Sales Floor NOT REPRIMAND AN ASSOCIATE IN FRONT OF ME AS A SHOPPER. At that point, I chose NOT TO continue my purchase there. I LEFT AND WILL NEVER RETURN TO THAT STORE, BECAUSE THIS WAS UNBELIEVABLE...

Awful experience at the store. I went in to look at hamsters and asked to see the only multi-colored hamster in their cage. The worker was unable to answer any of my questions or if the hamster was even male. The way she handled him was upsetting to watch, and then she handed him to me. In less than a minute of holding him, I got bit 3 times and it drew blood. The worker was shocked he did it, didnt offer to get first aid or ask if I was ok. I asked to use their restroom to get washed up. When I was done no one approached me to apologize or ask if I was all right. Though they have good deals on nesting material and other items to keep animals busy I would never buy an animal from this place.

Rude manager. I tried to give back an item that was $30 with tagged prices on it without a receipt (sorry, lost it folks, the dog ate it?!). The manager treated me awfully. Learn some manners lady. I come here once a week but because of this nasty treatment over asking for a refund on a mere $30 after the hundreds I spend here, no more! Also the manager refused to refund under no exceptions. Can you at least be friendly and respectful when telling costumers you wont make an exception? Shop at another pet store variety you will get way better, friendlier customer service (in general as well) and they will most likely accept a missing receipt should you need a return on a small cost item!!

This store had decent fish until about 1 year ago. The conditions have declined seriously since then. Many dead fish in the aquariums and others diseased and in distress. I suspect water quality to be the issue. I have many years experience with saltwater and freshwater aquariums and this place is a poor representation of an interesting hobby. I would strongly urge anyone buying fish here to have a quarantine aquarium and use it. A good idea for all new arrivals regardless where you purchase.

I always stop into this location because its convenient, yet I typically end up regretting it. If there are more than 5 customers in the store your best bet is to leave and try again later. Im not sure if its the training or just a common thread amongst personnel, but typically you will have a long wait and dont expect any apologies as the employees chit chat while you wait.

New manager (since this spring) needs to get some retail experience. No more customer oriented service. He refuses to re-stock merchandise I often buy, as a long term customer. Employees tell me he said hes not making enough money off it. So hes going to make none from me on anything.

Way overpriced. The people who work there are generally not very helpful. Checkout always takes forever...and they dont have a lot of the items that I use. I almost never shop there anymore unless Im in a real bind.

This is my favorite pet store! I bought a gold fish and it lived for about a year. I am a regular and always feel welcomed to bring my puppy Tibbles. It is very clean and the staff is incredibly helpful.
