I stoped by this pet store to get crickets and meal worms for my reptiles. And also because it was closer than petsmart. As I walked in all the staff and employees were very friendly and super helpful. As being a reptile owner I always check to see what the store carries. They had a crested gecko, a green iguana, and other snakes.. Ive done lots of research on crested geckos and 100s of other reptiles. They had the crested gecko in its cage with only crickets people that know crested geckos knows that giving them crickets is like giving them candy for breakfast lunch and dinner. So I felt bad for the poor guy and decided to get him. Next we saw the iguana in the cage laying pathetically by his water dish with also nothing but crickets. IGUANAS DO NOT EAT INSECTS THEY EAT VEGETABLES. Next his tail was half missing. I couldnt leave this guy in misery anymore.. getting him out the cage was next. Most every employee was to scared to get him in the box to take him home. Which goes to show he probably wasnt getting the care he needed... overall they need to hire employees that have experience with reptiles so they get the proper care they need..

We adopted Milo... A 4 year old male ginger tabby that had been there for a month and was due to go back to the Humane Society. We were told it was unlikely anyone would take him, as everyone wants kittens. Milo stole our hearts and we took him home. We were told he didnt get along with cats, but he fit right in with our two. This cat doesnt have a mean bone in his body and forces the other two to play. Impeccable litter box habits, even covering up the girls messes! He is picky about his food. He likes two types of canned food and only one type of dry food. We discovered him moving his dry food bowl right next to his water bowl, where he was dipping his paw in water and shaking it into his dry food, making what we now call soup! Now Milo likes to have his dinner table to include all three: canned food, dry food and "soup"! What a guy!

You need to be more knowledgeable and help educate people better to avoid unnecessary deaths. You sent my friend home, whos never had fish, with a 5g aquarium, food and 6 fish. No education, no cycling media, no information. Guess what? Most died and she wanted to get out of the hobby! Why not teach people how to start a tank properly? Send them home with a tank and EVERYTHING to start it. Have them come back the next day for a fish to finish the cycle, then back in a week for some more and so on. Youd likely keep more customers by providing them with a positive experience and the proper knowledge.

After reading Brittanys review I thought I would post my experience. I bought my 6 year old a hamster from there in July, after recently moving to the area. The salesperson had tons of information about hamsters, and I felt confident purchasing the hamster from their store. The hamster was a very good hamster and never bit any of my family. She died less than 3 months after we got her. I dont know why she died, we did everything correct. My daughter is crushed and I feel so bad for her. I am wondering if she wasnt old or diseased when we got her too.

The employees are always nice. Unfortunately, the store itself lacks the diversity and variety of supplies that they stick verses their competitor, PetSmart. The upside is that if you do sign up for their loyalty card program, they will send you an electronic coupon for 10% off of your entire purchase in-store. PetSmart send theirs that is good only if you purchase it off of their site, which also incurs shipping and handling...unless it happens to be a qualifying item for in-store pickup.

Very Friendly Staff. Went to PetSmart first to get a specific product. They were out of stock. Not only did Pet Supermarket have what I needed, it was much cheaper than PetSmart. They also had other things that PetSmart did not have (things that I had been looking for previously). My only recommendation is to allow customers to sign up and use the rewards system all in the same first visit. (You sign up for VIP program but cannot use it until the next month).
