Stay away! Atrocious customer service. Theyll insult you with a smile and be proud of it. They sell used merchandise as new! Over the years Id visit Big R every now and then and found their prices to be competitive. However, the sore spot has always been employee training, customer service and responsiveness to customers. Today I purchased a battery for a scooter (small battery that comes in a box). Exchanged the spent core (the old battery) and left. Arrived home and opened the box to find a used battery. Drove right back to the store, walked up to the same counter and clerk that has sold me the battery only minutes earlier. They refused a refund or exchange and said there was "no way to verify what was in the box when you left the store". I couldnt find a sign that indicated the need to open and inspect all merchandise before leaving the store. Its not the $20 that the battery cost that irks me, its the crappy customer service and their insults. They way they handled the situation and insulted me, fairly clearly shows their customer attitude. I wont ever walk into a Big R again and will live a much happier life!

I needed a new mower and researched which one I wanted. I checked local businesses and found the one I wanted at this store. When I went in all the cheeper models was displayed in front, took me another 5-10 minutes to find the one I wanted, then I walked around the the store 3 times to find someone to help me with my mower that was on a display in a back corner. Still no help. went to lowes and someone greeted me and helped me out within seconds and I was out in less time than looking for someone. I spent $350 for my mower and was not going to complain, but when I buy my dog food there and the skid is empty, and once again I cant find someone, this is worth the time to complain. I will now have to go to wabash (out of my way) to buy my dog food since Im next door to where I work! Thanks but no thanks for this location!!!!

I wouldnt even give it a star if that was an option. although the store itself and and bathrooms maybe clean or cleanish. Employees were terrible. Few were good but i just fewcmy customer service was not met at my standards. TELLING ME I WAS WRONG IS UNACCEPTABLE. Why i will never know but one thing is for sure im not coming back AGAIN!!!!

My chain saw has been in their shop for two mounths and still not done they said the guy wjo works on them quit they need to get some good help i need my saw to cut firewood its getting close to winter

Was told they had FR clothing and made the trip to spent 15 minutes looking for it. Had to walk across the store to find someone to help me, by telling me they had none.
