I went into the American Freight store in Ocala Florida and ordered the Velocity living room set in the cream color that was out on display. We had someone come over and write up our order. During the payment process when we were discussing delivery the sales person advised that it would be 69 dollars for delivery and that it would be put together. We received the call that the furniture was in and scheduled the delivery for after 4:00 on 8/1. The furniture did not arrive until after 8:00 in the evening while I was at work. I had my mother there to receive the furniture. Once she paid the delivery guys they left. Nothing was put together. When I came home from work I had my 60 year old mother putting the legs on the furniture and moving it around. Not only was it not put together, but the color we received was darker than what we ordered. Since it was delivered so late we were not able to contact the store because it was already closed. As soon as the store opened I called the store and advised them the color was not correct. We ordered the cream color that was out there and that the color we received was not even an option. There was a chocolate color and a cream color. The Assistant Manager advised that I was incorrect and that they have not had a cream colored set because it was out of stock for 2 months and that it could be faded from the sun. Regardless it is not the color we ordered. I explained to him that I have no problem keeping the Mineral color we received because it worked with the rest of the furniture. The part that really upsets me is that I paid 70 dollars for the furniture to be delivered and put together and it was not. So the gift I purchased for my mother ended up having her trying to move around furniture and put it together. The Assistant Manager then advised me that they are contracted and I received a discount on delivery and that it is usually more and it does not cover putting the furniture together but just putting the legs on... which they did not even do that. I explained to him that, that was not what the sales person stated to me and that it would be put together. He then tried to offer me a $50 dollar credit in the store and that is not acceptable to me. The store was happy to take my money. Happy to have me give them a 5 star rating in order to get a free lamp(before I even get my furniture) and leave my mother struggling to put it together once its received and expects me to come back and shop. This is ridiculous to me. The Assistant Manager said he would call me back to see what can be done. It is now the end of business for the day and I have no received a call. I have no problem with the furniture, but is this really how you treat a customer?

I got a pillow top mattress WITH WARRANTY from them almost 3 years ago. I need it replaced, so I go to them to start the process. I was given an email for the assistant manager and was told that he was going to be the middle man between me and the mattress company. So I emailed him that night, and so far, I havent heard anything back. My wife tried to do the same thing several months ago. We do not appreciate being ignored!!! If I do not get a response soon, I will be eliminating the middle man. One thing is for sure, I am unlikely to shop at American Freight again, unless they resolve this. They have one last chance. And that chance has been expended. I reached out to the manager who responded below, who contacted the store. The store said they never received my email. So the person below contacts the store again and says I will be contacted once the warranty process had been started. A week goes by, and I hear nothing. I reach out to Kelly again, who contacts the store to be informed that the warranty replacement was approved, but the store does not have a correct number on file. THAT IS A LOAD OF BULL!!! So I contact the store, and after nearly hanging up on me, they inform me to that to get my mattress replaced, I have to pay a pro-ration fee of A HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS!!! I purchased a mattress with a warranty and theyre going to charge me MORE MONEY to replace the piece of crap mattress that has metal sticking out of it?!?! I dont think so!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME GOING TO AMERICAN FREIGHT!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! The people at this store are incompetent and do not care about customer satisfaction!! Their products are of EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY!! Any warranty you get with them will only cost you more money to get it replaced. TRUST ME!! You will be better off going somewhere else. Go to American Freight, you get what you pay for!! And just to add more salt to the wound, I sent a complaint to their corporate office, and I was ignored. When even their corporate office is not willing to do anything, that should explain to you what this company is like. And its sad to see that they are still getting more poor reviews. People really need to stop going to American Freight just because they are the cheapest in the area. Cheap being keyword.

I will like to start off by saying that Ron is the best very humble and he really does try to help and provide very helpful information to his customers. Reason there is a 2 star rating. My mom and i went to this establishment two days in a row.....Sunday and today which is Monday. We were shopping around for my granddad some bedroom furniture for his place. Ron showed us a lot of different things that were ok pricing but could have been better for the type of quality that their company calls quality furniture. Management; through Ron tried to keep us in the store to buy from them by brining the price down when we had already stated to Ron that we needed to do some more shopping around. Ron understood but his management pushed him hard to push us. We get into our car to leave and management have Ron run to our vechile to give us another price. My mom told him we would be back. We did go back today and Ron had a sale....of course not at the price from the day before because we had went to kanes to buy the bulk of what we needed....but of course we go to check out and close the deal with a check and Ron tell my mom and i that there is 30 day hold on the check....company policy....for 205 dollars really a 30 day hold. So needless to say Ron totally lost a sale we will not be back we actually went to rooms to go for a better deal. I will not recommend anyone to ever go here. When does buying things for your home becomes almost like buying a car from a used car sales man....the hassle and the pricing was not worth us spending our money there. I do hope Ron finds him a better sales job because hes a great and honest guy working for a shady business.

My husband and I bought two couches on March 21st and where told that the couches would be delivered within a couple of weeks. A month went by and still no couches. My husband called up there and we where told that there where spots on the couches so they where sent back to Gainesville. The next day he stopped by the store and spoke to the gentleman behind the counter and he told my husband that they where in Gainesville and had not been shipped yet. Thats two different stories. We finally received one couch about a week ago and was told when it was delivered that we would have the other couch this last Tuesday. Well it came and past and no couch. My husband was even told we would have to pay for a second delivery. He told them that if that was the case we wanted a refund. It wasnt our fault that this had happened. He finally worked it out so that we wouldnt be paying for the second delivery. This has been the worse buying experience we have ever had.I guess it is better to spend the extra money at the other furniture stores. We would have had a better outcome and have all our furniture. Im just so tired of waiting and tired of being lied to. You get what you pay for. In the future we will be going to one of the better furniture stores and pay a little more to get better service and have have our furniture in a timely manner.
