Went in there the first time to check it out, was not greeted by anyone however the blonde woman eventually came out on her cell phone and stood at the counter. She finally got off and greeted me, I looked at bike posts and the pricing. Came back the second time with the bike post I wanted to replace so they could tell me the proper size I needed. The guy with a bead and a hat "sized them up"and told me to try the post and if it doesnt fit that I could return it. It didnt fit, so I went to return it about a week later and talked to the man with the gray hair who had an attitude with me trying to return it saying that they could only do exchanges. I asked when the guy that sold me it would be in and he told me to try back tomorrow. So I came back once again and talked to the guy that sold me it and he said he couldnt return it, that they dont do returns only exchanges. I said you told me I could return it and he hesitated and said no we cant, only exchanges. I eventually had to exchange it for a bike pump that I didnt even need and doesnt work that great. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP! They are overpriced and will sell you anything to make a buck and later will deny your refund. Your better off going to other shops in the area Astro Cycles, Suncoast Trailside Bikes, or the one on SR 52.

The first time I went into the establisment was to compare their prices with those online like pricepoint, and while I had a hunch they would be considerably more expensive, I have always been a fan of giving small buisnesses the buisness. After walking in, I was approached by a rather large man asking if I needed help, I told him I was "just looking around" and tryed to make small talk with him in regards to my bike upgrade. He didnt seem to interested and just stared at me the whole time like I was a potential theif ready to run out with a brand new bike at any moment. After feeling unwelcome I left. Two weeks later, when some more of my components came, I called them back to try to feel them out one more time and talked with someone who just confirmed what I thought about them. I explained to him what I needed which was a wheel swap, and then towards the end of the conversation, the man from the shop said "aright man Ill see you later, I gotta go!" followed by an abrubt hang up. Not the end of the world by no means, but that is just not how you treat a paying customer. I would recomend you give your buisness elsewhere, Dan is a gentleman from dans cycle on congress, or the people from Bike Lane on little rd. Hope my little story is helpful.

I completely agree with the previous comment. I had a very similar experience. I purchased my 13 year son a freestyle bike from here and they were less than helpful. As a matter of fact rude. A year later my sons bike needed some work and I figured I would try them again, people have bad days. Nope I was wrong, it is a bad day every day here. I did not know of any other bike stores and my son was anxious about getting it fixed, so I left the bike. THis was a week before Christmas. A week after Christmas I still had not received a call. So I called them. The person answered the phone and I stated I was checking on a repair. "OK" is the answer I received. After a long pause of silence the person asked what bike. I stated the bike and the name and received "YEP" as an answer. I inquired does this mean it is ready. "YEP" again. I WILL NEVER do business here again, and I will be sure to NEVER recommened this shop to anyone.

I was in a pinch and needed a new lockring wrench. I called them before driving down there and a man answered who didnt know what I was talking about he handed the phone to a lady who wasnt entirely sure either until I told her they are the hook thats usually on the bottom end of a chain whip. She said they do in fact have those. Went in was greeted by who I believe to be the man I spoke to on the phone, he now knew what I meant. The tool was Park brand, so its quality and was right on target as far as price. In their defense they admittedly dont really deal with fixed gear bikes. While I was there I asked about the cost of a wheel truing; they quoted me $22 if I bring in the wheel off the bike and $28 with it still on the bike, which I believable is a reasonable price. Overall, Id use them again, in fact I would go there first, but I would still be hesitant until I figure out just how reliable and reasonable they are.

I have been to Action Sports twice. The first time I needed a helmet, and the lady was very helpful. So when my bike needed a tune-up, I called them again. Their price was significantly higher than other estimates I had received, and it included fewer services. So I went elsewhere. Still, when I needed a new seat and gloves, I decided to give them another shot. There were two men working, neither of which offered assistance. When I asked for help selecting gloves, they were both dismissive and rude. And the clincher was when the elderly couple next to me asked how to adjust a seat and the entire answer they got was, "slight bend of the knee." I could have helped them better than that, and its not my business. It was obvious that neither of the men wanted to be working there. I will not be shopping here again.

Went in there looking for a hitch for a Schwinn trailer I have for our toddler. When entering a chime went off there was a lady sitting with her back to the door talking on the phone not once did she turn around. About 4 minutes later a nice but not very talkative man came out to see what I needed. I told him i was looking for a hitch he mentioned that online was more than likely my only way to get it, but he did ask the girl on the phone to be sure she never turned around or paused her conversation just shook her head no. I was also looking for a new bike for my wife I will be looking else where.

Great local shop. A little old school but that can be comforting. They carry quality brands and accessories. The shop is run by a cool dude with a bunch of knowledge if you buddy up to him a little and a flaxen haired fox who knows her stuff too. They have an honest service department and decent prices. They trued a bent rim and replaced a broken spoke for around $20. They also tightened a loose cassette on another wheel for free instead of selling me the special tool or charging me a flat rate.(the wheels were loose not on the bike) Theyre solid in my book and definitely worth checking out.

Walked around the store and looked at all the old school stuff on the sales floor, I thought " am I in a Museum...or a bike store?" All the old school Schwinn stuff on the floor is cool, however if you hung this crap on the wall, youd have more room for inventory. So people can buy them, yeah... thats how businesses work, no body wants to see your collection of banana seat Schwinns from the seventies. Also when I come in, it would be nice to have someone say "hello," not listen to the blondes personal problems on her cell phone for fifteen minutes. Not Impressed. Ill pass.
