I was told to bring my bike in on a Sunday and it would be done by the end of the day or Tuesday at the latest because they are closed on Mondays. I never received a call so I was patient and waited until Thursday to call since I hadnt heard anything. They told me that they "forgot" about my bike and they would start working on it right then and it would be done by the end of the day. I never got a call. I called Friday afternoon and I was told that they hadnt started working on it yet but if I liked, he could put it up on the rack right then. I told him not to bother even starting on it. The manager called me back a little while later and said they could have had it done an hour ago if I had let them work on it. They had ALL WEEK to work on it. When I told him NO, he gave me an attitude and said my bike would be left out on the sidewalk for me to pick up. He acted like I did something wrong. What a jerk. Im sorry I even brought my bike here and I will certainly not be recommending them to anyone.

OTE Bikes is a true haven for local cyclists. I ride daily and I ride hard, my Specialized has seen better days. But every time I bring her home from the shop she rides better than new. The service is extraordinary, the prices more than fair. Unlike the shop I bought my bike from, Todd takes time to teach and explain, and never makes you pay for more than you actually need. But heres the greatest thing... last night I royally wrecked my bike, and being stranded with no way to work the next day, Todd came to my house, picked up my bike, repaired it, and brought it back to me all in a few hours. WHAT?! Who even does this anymore?? So on top of a teaching attitude, fair prices, and amazing work, the owners also a really decent dude, the nicest guy in the gulf. Please take your work to OTE and tell as many people as you can about this incredible bike shop.

todd is the type of person that wears his honesty on his sleeve.... it is a breath of fresh air in the professional world...... when i called to ask about a new bike that was out of stock.... he confessed that he had missed a brief window to order new bikes due to a holiday backlog of service orders.... he apologized and gave me a realistic expectations on when the bikes would be in.... it was longer than i hoped but i always appreciate a candid answer..... most people in the service world create excuses that shift blame on someone else or some imaginary reason out of their control... in the end... todd has the best line of newly designed cruising bikes available in town.... at the best price.... and puts a high value on direct communication...

DANGEROUS BIKE REPAIRS! Former janitor Todd openly admits that, "People dont come to me because Im a great mechanic, they come because Im a nice guy." Well, hes certainly right on the first point. I initially went to OTE because its nearby to my house, and after some half dozen visits necessary to rectify Todds slipshod handiwork, today it finally degraded into a shouting match (some nice guy he turned out to be). The bottom line is this folks: your very life literally depends upon the competency (or incompentency) of the person who works on your bicycle... And anyone who puts their life in Todds hands, is as much a fool as he is. OTE is the best argument Ive ever seen for state licensing and regulation of bicycle shops.

Went to OTE bike shop to order a seat back for a recumbent Sun trike. Younger man took my name and number, and gave me an estimate cost. After not hearing from them for 10 days, I went back and was told by an older man that he had called and talked to me, and it didnt sound like I was going to buy the recumbent and wouldnt want the seat. I told him that he hadnt talked to me, and that I had a recumbent and wanted a seat. He said, no problem, it would be ordered and delivered the next day, and he would call when it was ready. After 4 days and no call, I went to another bike shop, which ordered my seat and got it delivered in one day. Glad to see some people get good service there. They wont be seeing me again.

You will not receive any better customer service in Florida than at this Bike Store. Jessie grabbed a couple of bikes for us to rent and treated us like we were buying them. He chose the right size and even switched out the seat for me as I am used to a specific type. If you are looking to rent they have nice hybrids which are perfect for the trail or town. If you are looking to buy other bike related items look no further. I can tell you will receive the best customer service including proper fittings and direction in choosing the right bike or accessory. Thanks Jessie!!

When I had a flat tire on the trail, OTE fixed it pronto ... and inexpensively. I returned after my ride to leave my bike for a tune-up and when I picked it up, my old Ross looked better than new with new white-walls all for the price that a Tampa shop would have charged me just for the tune-up. I would highly recommend OTE. As a matter of fact ... someone dropped off a bike in my driveway last week and Im going to make the drive over to OTE from Tampa just so OTE can fix it for me!!! Yes, thats how much I like this bike shop.

This place may have inexpensive used bikes, but customer service is not great. I called to get information on two of the bikes I was interested in buying for my husband so I could do some research on which bike would be better for him. I was told that he, "didnt have time for that and if I wanted that information I could come up there myself and get it." Great customer service, right? I even had told him that I was very interested in buying a bike. Not anymore!

Todd was super helpful, friendly and inexpensive! My friend & I cruised in there one Sunday looking to get air in our bike tires and they checked the pressure & filled both of our bikes for free!! I ended up leaving it with them after my ride for a tune up - the same $100 tune up @ chainwheel drive, for ONLY $30 @ OTE!!!! Great local biz! teddycat44 must have been having a bad day ;) it happends. This is my new bike shop!

These guys are awesome. Very busy place and still took time to fix my wheel for under 20 bucks and get me in the road again. We have our own bikes however we saw families returning the rentals and they were in MINT condition I honestly couldnt believe how pristine the rental bikes were. If you need a fix or just to rent for the weekend with your family I highly recommend stopping by to see what these guys have to offer!

Super friendly bikeshop with helpful staff. I depend upon my bike daily for work commute and more. Whenever I have a problem, I stop at OTE and Todd has always helped me take care of it. No doubt OTE is good because people working there obviously love bikes and enjoy working with them. If youre on the path and thinking about fixing up your bike or getting a new one, stopping here is a no brainer.
