THIS PLACE STINKS!!! Im going to start this story by admitting I left my bike in this repair shop for 4 mos over the winter. When I called to let them know I was finally coming to get it, Kevin (owner/manager) said he gave it away because he wasnt running a storage warehouse. When I asked why he didnt call to let me know, he claimed he had called dozens of times and had documentation. I asked what number he called and he read off a number that didnt even come close to my number. He continued to argue that I must have given him the wrong number which of course is totally ludicrous given that not only does my correct number appear on my repair receipt but also my correct address which he could have used to send a warning letter. So, Im out a $2000 bike (by the way I had just spent $500 at this shop on new wheels within the past year so he knew me and knew I was serious about biking). However, this owner is out not only my continued business of upgrade and repair but also the outfitting of my 2 boys and wife which I got to believe far exceeds the amount Kevin claims to be out by "warehousing" my repaired bike (not to mention the actual repair cost which hell never reclaim). You not only have to wonder about the guys business sense in an economy like this to give away a customers bike but also about a guys character and integrity. So, the morals to this story are up to you...dont leave your bike at this shop after its fixed or perhaps better yet dont go to this bike shop AT ALL!

Ever since they opened they have been jackasses to anyone thats not a pro that comes in there. I went in there with my father a few months back when was looking at upgrading to a pro style street bike. We came in willing to drop a few thousand dollars on a new bike for him and I wanted a few things for my roof rack. As soon as we walked in, the older gentleman sitting behind the counter stopped reading his magazine long enough to size us up and then continued to read his magazine without ever saying anything. When my father found his bike, he wanted to know more details about options. I had to go find someone to try to help us with no luck. The older gentleman had gone off to talk to his buddy that had walked in. The tech in the back, who was helping a lady with shoes before I approached him, made it clear that he was a tech and that he didnt deal with anything regarding sales. He then went back to his bench, sat down and buried his face in a magazine. There was another gentleman that was assiting someone on the stationary bike, but he didnt say anything when I asked for a little help. I figured it might have been an isolated case until I returned yesterday and was ignored once again. So, Flying Fish will never get ANY money from me. Instead Im going to make the trip to Olivers in New Tampa where I originally bought my bike and get my gear. Flying Fish--Go out of business already... You give biking a bad name!

I had the same exact experience as the poster before me. I went in a few weeks ago looking to purchase a good quality bicycle. There are no good stores in the area, so I tried this place out. I walked in, the little doorbell rang, but no employees. They were sitting in the back doing their own thing. They couldnt be bothered. I looked around for a few minutes and left. They wont be in business much longer.

I went in today looking for a bike and a rack. The lady who took care of us was super knowledgeable and nice. I will call her tomorrow and have her bring the size bike I need and close the $1000 sale. Wanted to check out Trek bikes and now I wont. I will buy bike and accessories from this location because of her. I will update my review with her name as soon as I find out her name

After having a horrible experience at the McDill location (see review on that page) I cant say enough good things about the crew here. I talked to a few different employees and they were all very friendly and knowledgable. They answered all the questions I had and I was able to leave with the parts I needed and a fair bit of new knowledge. Will definitely be coming back!

Great selection of bikes and accessories, especially for triathlon. Their mechanics take great care of my road and triathlon bikes at a price that is more than reasonable. Perhaps my favorite reason for coming here is that the sales staff is honest and straightforward - they work to meet my needs without trying to upsell me on every piece of kit.

All bikes should be purchased from a bike shop. Great friendly and helpful staff, but the selection is limited. Like most bike shops, it has an air and focus on cyclist instead of recreational riders. Having been in the business, this alienates a huge segment of riders who instead go to a sporting goods store.

Great service. Prices are slightly higher than some other bike shops in the area, but totally worth paying a little more to get such great customer service, especially for new bike riders. My husband and I are totally new to bike riding and the staff have been very helpful every step of the way.

Same as below, staff was too busy to even come out and greet us. We came in after a bad experience at the other location, but this one was even worse. It is obvious that this business is doomed. Our money went somewhere else. Avoid this place at all costs. Not even worthy of one star.

I bought a Bike, a Bike Rack and a few other items from them. They are very easy to work with, went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. Excellent prices as well, they beat Amazon 2 out of 2 times.

We needed 3 bikes for our family and Flying Fish were excellent. Really friendly, very knowledgeable, large stock to choose from and gave us a great price! What a great shop...

Never fun dealing with an arrogant staff. Need to work on their communication skills for sure. Bummed out, had high hopes.

Service is awful. Gave them 2 chances. They make false promises and then lie to cover it up. Look elsewhere.
