I used to go here when it was CARQUEST, they always had the parts I needed at a better price than Advance Auto Parts. They are now Advance Auto Parts, and along with replacing the decor and signage, they seemed to have replaced all the staff. I walked in and asked for the brake caliper tool set, and right away I was told they do not have it. After I questioned him, he said "oh wait a minute I might have it," and went back and retrieved it. For those of you who dont know, Advance Auto Parts offers a tool loan program, where you pay a deposit and get it refunded upon returning the tool. The sales person told me that Im better off buying the $14 individual tool instead of loaning the professional tool, and was insisting that I would be saving money if I did that, and even after I told him that Id rather get the FREE tool, he was very hesitant to give it to me. Weirdest thing. I came back to return the tool, and asked for a brake caliper bolt kit, as mine was damaged. Again, without hesitation or a moment to think about my request, he said "No I dont have that." After going back and forth three times and insisting that he check the computer, he finally gives up and looks it up, and shockingly it was in stock! I dont know if the old staff was fired or quit, but this new guy managing the place is incompetent, and since its now part of the same chain and I dont get the benefit of a better price, Ill drive a little further to get to a better managed/stocked Advance Auto Parts.
