I use to go to Starbucks and get my homework done, read a book, or do stuff on my computer. I just recently moved to this area and there are no Starbucks near by. I honestly do not care anymore ever since I found this place. It is a great cozy little spot. Multiple tables, couches, love seats surround the inside with a TV on the wall if your so inclined to watch. Rugs on the floor make it feel comfortable. They even have board games and cards if you want to play with some friends. The staff is friendly and very inviting. Coffee is great and Ive only had one item on the food menu and boy was it tasty and surprisingly filling too. I would recommend a visit to this cafe with friends or even come by yourself.

While trying to figure out if I wanted to sit in the airport terminal or at a coffee shop, decided to look this place up based on location (near EverBank Field). What I found was a really cool little spot with a nice, easy atmosphere and just what I was looking for to kill a little time A good drink menu (they also serve food but didnt even look at it, frankly), soft, comfy chairs or tall tables and chairs to match, wifi, nice service, and they even had board games if youre inclined for a game of checkers, dominoes, Scrabble, etc. Bonus for me was that it was raining outside, the coffee was warm and fresh inside and I couldnt imagine a better place to take it easy.

I loved my visit at three layers cafe! I was instantly welcomed by Ms.Marium who made me feel at home and walked me through some of the options for food and coffee. I have been to many coffee shops in Jacksonville and this one is so unassuming and surprising with the incredible dessert choices and coffee. It both tastes incredible and is not pretentious about it. Come here when you want to have a cozy time with wonderful people and delicious homemade food/desserts. Will definitely be coming back and supporting this local shop!

I have no reason to ever return. Maybe she was having a bad day, but the way a barista treated my friend when we visited was uncalled for. She treated me as any other customer, but as he pulled up on a bike in a chefs coat, he was treated like garbage. She rolled her eyes when he asked about different roasts, was rude, and made him prepay for things she didnt make me prepay for. I understand that he came in his work clothes, but he is an executive chef - she acted like he was going to rob the place for a $3 coffee.

My friend and I have been lounging here for the past 5 hours with our laptops... and we could easily sit here for another 5. This cafe has such a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere... the friendly service and free wi-fi is just a plus. The neutral earth tones, with splashes of funky, colorful flare (compliments of the local artists), comfortable seating, chill music, and delicious delights from the menu make for a perfect hangout. I dig it!

Really lovely- came here on a late Monday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. I had an iced latte and a slice of cake- all tasty and refreshing after being outside in the Jacksonville heat. They have a mix of wood chairs/cafe tables and easy chairs and couches, so it seems like it would be a good place to grab a quick coffee or hang out for awhile. Nice decor, homey atmosphere- overall, a nice place to spend some time.

Three Layers at one time was a coffee house and bakery with great food and amazing service. However, over the past year the prices have increased, quality of product has become lack luster and the service is horrible. The management has no interest in satisfying customers and is totally committed to squeezing every penny of profit out the product. Save your money and find another coffee house.

A very trendy place, not so crowded and very good coffee items. They serve also pastry items though I would recommend especially if you want something more fresh. The area its located in may have a big part on why its not so crowded at times but however though its nice a quiet if you and a significant other wants to chill. Not really meant for familiea but more of a hangout spot.

Fantastic experience. Was sent by a friend that highly recommended this place. The girl that helped us was very polite and even thanked us for supporting small business. The hazelnut latte was the best wed ever had. Our blueberry muffin was heated and wrapped with a napkin and plastic forks which I thought was thoughtful. Will definitely come back when in Jax the next time!

Didnt have chai ice tea latte. Not sure why but I opted for the hot vanilla latte instead. It was quite delicious. This coffee shop is very homie, vice another coffee shop I usually go to in Jacksonville with chairs that are not comfortable at all. They got a cool gardening and winear area to drink as well. Come here for some good coffwe, ambiance, and mellow music!

Shrimp wrap was good, however frappes still had extremely large chunks of ice. Not very accommodating for those with food allergies or specific dietary needs. They dont let you know the contents within their food. And are unwilling to take certain elements out that may cause reactions. Could not order what I originally was going to order.

The burgers are EXCELLENT! As for the place... I like it. Over the years, the atmosphere has become more noisy. Otherwise, Id LOVE it! (Thats just a personal preference, of course.) UPDATE: Its still one of the best workplaces I have found in the city. Its convenient. Its welcoming and it just makes sense on SO many levels!

Great place! Nice quiet neighborhood and "feel at home" atmosphere, excellent decor and refreshing demographic. I was a bit disappointed that they didnt offer a lox bagel, which would have made my experience perfect, but the bagel I did get was very fresh. I ordered a 20 oz "Red eye" it was delicious.

This is a great place if you like intimate feeling coffee shops and good food. The service is excellent and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The decor is nice with exposed brick and wood furniture and accents. The coffee tastes great and the chicken salad sandwich I had was delicious.

Although I was concerned about the surrounding area, I found this quaint cafe very satisfying. I had a mocha and a "Jeffs Square" both of which were very good. This is a good place for business meetings or independent work and study as they have free Wi-Fi.

The house coffee is fantastic. Very tasty humus and spinach-artichoke dip. The zen garden is cool bur continuously plays music that drown the noise of trickling water at the water fountain... not zen at all. The decor is too OCD to portray relaxation.

Just popped in to inquire about their home made cakes, must be ordered ahead of time. Ordered a tall mocha latte and Jeff square. Both were good, but the Jeff square is worth a repeat visit. Cheesecake on crispy pecan crust. I drool as I type this.

Over all it is nice place. The staff needs to be taught some finesse in dealing with customers and recognize a service dog when they see one. The management might want to review his responsibilitis under the American Disabilities Act
