I am sadly giving this store the score of two due to their lack of customer service sense from the male employees although I will continue going to other stores and donate my items at other locations. Straight to the point. Thursday 8/4 I called the store in the afternoon and asked until what time donations were accepted, I was told until closing time which is 8pm so I packed my 5 boxes and 2 large plastic bags totalling over 150 pieces or so and headed over to the store. When I get there it was about 5:03 and as I rang the bell I noticed the sign says donations accepted at the front of the store after 5PM. Ugh! This means I will have to ask someone for help. I get to he store and see they are pretty busy, apparently some special sale going so I asked a lady who worked there. Long story short I went to the manager who said he could not spare anyone to go to the back and open the door, if I had too much that it could not fit in the front area designated, then I could leave it outside in the back and then hed get someone to bring the stuff in later. So, I took it upon myself to bring the items to the front as I could not come back any time soon. Let me take a second to say that I walk with the help of a cane and have a handicapped parking permit. I saw an employee who was sitting around in the furniture department and asked him if someone would give me the receipt for the income taxes and he said hed write it for me. He was sitting there at a desk, not helping anyone, or doing anything, He saw me pull out the 5 boxes and 2 bags beside my car and as I walked with the first box into the store, he did not even get the door for me, a gentleman waiting outside asked me if I needed assistance and between the two of us got the stuff inside. I got my receipt and left frankly very saddened at this incident and thinking I should just had taken the things to Goodwill at least they seem appreciative when you bring stuff. Today, Saturday, I stopped by since I was in the area and started seeing my items all over the store. Green wine glasses $7.99 each glass, I brought 3, the green tall ice tea glasses, $7.99 each, brought 4, the white and blue sugar container, $6.99, the Tommy Hilfiger purse behind the register counter was $20, the Nine West one was $10 and I started finding at least half od the items I had donated and that gave me some sort of comfort although I was very surprised at the prices but whatever. As I am leaving the store, again with my cane on hand, I see this pair of in their 60s or 70s couple, the wife in a wheelchair, the husband walking but not in the best of health and I see this man struggling with the door again to try and get out, meanwhile, a worker from the furniture department which happens to be right by the entrance pretended to look the other way, standing no more than 6 feet away and offered NO HELP WHATSOEVER to these poor people. As I walked however I could towards the door and told the man here, let me help you, I told the worker standing " you could have held the door for them, you know" he said I didnt see them, and I was with another customer" all I said was hmmm and he hmmm back at me... Needless to say, this is the last time they will see me there.

My first reason to go to the Salvation Army Thrift Store is to support their cause. My second I have personal experiences involving people i know and love who got that hand up from programs offered through the Salvation Army.Third I have found school shirts for the unified school my grandson attends that were in like new condition half the price or less then brand new at a department store, nightgowns for a three year old in like new shape, shorts and tops for children also and lastly toys for my under one grandchildren in very good shape for peanuts and that was a better deal the the consignment stores i frequent for bargains if I saw something missing I could it on eBay a good example was a high chair i bought for $30 and all it was missing was the plastic insert snap in try that sits inside the main tray of the chair. This high chair retails for $150 reclines has height adjustment the works, the piece missing i bought on eBay for $7 If you put in the time you too will find that diamond in the ruff. Before I buy new I will stop in to my local Salvation Army Thrift Store oh my i mention they had bed trays for children with side storage on both side and my grand son loves to store little toy he can play with on the tray if I bought them new their are referred to as hospital bed trays they go over the lap not the bed price $30 I paid $5 Happy shopping all!

On top of everything being ridiculously priced, the store manager is extremely rude. i said hello, no response just attitude, asked for a price on a small beat up laptop bag. and in my face stamped a ridiculous price. then all i said was ok thank you and she just walks away. RUDE! Her employee at the counter should teach her how to be polite to costumers, she was the only one NOT rude.

Worst place in the world to buy electronics. They lied to to mother about the quality of a television that only lasted several days. The manager has professionalism of a belligerent drunk. Think differently about The Salvation Army after see what the did to my mother.

Great place for nice used furniture. Lots and lots of used clothing, if you have the time to go through each item. I was looking for old figurines, but they didnt have much. Did find a couple of nice DVDs though.

The prices are practically retail for certain items. And their furniture isnt really a bargain. I thought this was a "thrift" store. Go down the street to goodwill or RED WHITE AND Blue (they are cash only though)

RIP OFF!! Ridiculously high priced for a thrift store!! Go to GoodWill instead. Everything is basically retail value here. You can buy new clothes for cheaper.

Used to be a good place to shop, then new management shows up and prices skyrocket. News flash, you get the goods for free, sell them, stop being greedy.
