I applied for their loss prevention position. Mind you im a prior experienced law enforcement officer and armed security. I explained I have an arrest on my record but it was dropped and did not interfere with me being an officer. immediately their demeanor changed and I was denied employment.just in case your asking, I did not want to go back to law enforcement full time because Im tired of the politics and favoritism. Apparently kmart is worse. where they went wrong was having an HR person that knows nothing about the job or basic law for that matter, do my second interview. the Glpm was very professional and stated several times he would like to work with me. This is a joke ..after doing my research i found they replace lp people faster than any other employee. I also found in several instances they denied employment to prior officers because it was later found that the people that denied employment were arrest for theft from their stores or fired for stealing. I think they dont want qualified people working there because of the theft by upper management.

HAD TO GIVE IT ONE STAR WHICH THEY DO NOT EVEN DESERVE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. THEY COULD NOT PAY ME TO SHOP IN THIS STORE EVER AGAIN!!!THE STORE ITSELF IS A DUMP. AND THE EMPLOYEES FROM THE MANAGERS DOWN TO THE CASHIERS ARE NASTY, RUDE, CRUDE AND ACTUALLY SHOULD NOT BE DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC. I TOO AM IN RETAIL AND WILL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THE GENERAL PUBLIC CAN BE ON A GOOD DAY JERKS HOWEVER IF I EVER TREATED OR TALKED TO A CUSTOMER THE WAY I WAS TREATED I WOULD BE UNEMPLOYEED. AND THE MANAGERS THEMSELVES DO NOT SET A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE FT PIERCE STORE AND THE VERO STORE ARE DAY AND NIGHT.

I love this store, I cannot leave without going back from the register and picking up something else and spend more than I planned. So well layed out to find what I need. But I looked everywhere for a Thermal Coffee Pot. Not Carried in the store will buy online. :(

I have worked for the Mart over 20 years on and off in 3 different states! From Customer Service to Electronics to Warehouse to Appliances, Ive done it all! They have just about everything that you need at half the price of the other retailers! Plus Layaway!

I love the deals offered, the rewards and points from both kmart and Sears. The quality and customer service is awesome. The hours of operation are great and not that far from home. Ill miss my local kmart if they do close.

Their Christmas return policy is ridiculous! My daughter got a doll set; stroller, pram, high chair, car seat and they would not take it back or exchange it without a receipt... It was a Christmas gift...
