Why have you all written reviews!?! And who are the ones that could possibly give this place 1 star? You mad? First off, you other five star people...thanks for giving away the best donut place in Fort Pierce. Hopefully, no one else reads these or we are all screwed. You know that if you dont show up at 6:30 youre likely to miss out on the cinnamon rolls and the apple turnovers. So why tell others? Second, for those who have written a one star review. I didnt even bother to read what you wrote because there is no reason for it to be on this page. These donuts are amazing. The donut holes are to die for (when I eat them, I feel quite alive). So please, if you are in the area and see this establishment on Google maps...stay away! Please. For the sake of locals. We need donuts in the morning and you might as well just go to Dunkin Donuts on US1 next to the CVS. :)

As a child, I remember going to Dixie Cream Donuts in Cutler Ridge, south of Miami. They had the best donuts in town and I remember Otto the owner as his family lived on our block. Relocating to Vero Beach from Fort Lauderdale recently, a friend from Jr. High School told me about this place. I never knew that Dixie Cream Donuts was a concept and that the receipe has been around since 1929. I bought a dozen - four glazed, a couple of Bavarian creme and the rest were assorted jelly. $7.49 a dozen. These donuts brought me back to my childhood. Much better than Dunkin Donuts. My family and I are new to the area. We kept passing by Dixie Cream but never went in. We had visitors a couple of weeks ago and so I woke up and got a couple dozen among other things to try out. The staff was nice and I was surprised at how many people were in line. They get busy but they are able to take care of everyones needs in a quick manner. I was also surprised by the doughnuts themselves they tasted great !! My visitors also loved them ! They held up pretty well hours later as well. Even the next day. We will be coming in more often. Especially when we go up to see our family (they dont want us to come back unless we bring back these doughnuts). ;)

This place has been around longer than Ive been alive. Always been awesome. I remember being a kid and my mother would sometimes stop there on the way talking me to school and buy me a bag of donut holes and a juice. You should especially go early in the morning. The donuts are great all day, but very early they have a bunch that just came up. You can watch them glaze them in the big vat and they just disintegrate in your mouth because they are so light. Yum! Definitely go and be sure to get the glazed! :-)

Its become a tradition of mine to take mine twin autistic girls for the weekend donut holes. The staff is friendly and nice. They know my girls so well and treat us with so much respect knowing that my girls can be loud and all over the place. The sweet treats hit the spot with the soft fresh tasting donuts from there classic glazed to there creative treated that you and any age family member will come to love.

My husband and I were traveling from NJ and love to try donuts in each place we visit and this by far exceeded our expectations. Dont get dissuaded with the sketchy area to stop in for a "fluffy" or "cakey" donut. The owner was awesome and didnt steer us wrong on recommendations to get the full donut experience and she even threw in a free donut for us to try...glazed mmmmm.

From someone who admits HATING donuts, my husband got me to try one and now I am hooked. Hot, gooey, the BEST glaze. Put in an order or go early because they usually sell out. The apple fritters are better than anywhere I have had in my life.

They never have apple fritters ready or enough! Been there ten times and they are always out. Either they dont make till 8 am or they make very little. You would think if your known for them you would know to have enough made!!! Very upset!

Best donuts ever. Even though the family that started it is not there. They are the same. I have been coming here since 1964 only place to get your donuts. Area looks bad but never felt that I was in an area I was not safe.

Have to go every Sunday morning. Best donuts ever. Love the powdered Long Johns. If you dont get there before 10 am they may be out of your favorite so get there EARLY.

There is not any other donut that comes close to being as good as a Dixie Crème Donut!! Yes everyone they do not make their apple fritters until 7:30 in the am.

Always great donuts. Sure wish theyd go back to using the traditional white boxes. The new boxes look cheesy and dont hold up....are very flimsy.
