My husband and I just moved to Ft. Myers and we dropped by B&N one afternoon and were pleasantly surprised to find such a small town bookshop feel to this B&N. The employees have all been very friendly, and quite knowledgeable. They have a published author of teen fiction among their ranks. She was very helpful in making recommendations and, in fact, has a printed list you can refer to. A book group meets there the second Tuesday of every month at 7 PM, and I just love Donnas Porch Recommendations. I found a display with the book recommendations as well as a printed list. We were told she has received national attention for her recommendations and received an award for her book reviews. I selected a title from the list that looked interesting, checked online reviews, found them all to be 4 or 5 star, and was very pleased to have found such a delightful book. My husband and I have returned several times and each time found everyone to be very helpful.

Brick and mortar establishments are already facing extinction due to technology. Youd think that would be enough reason to provide good service to the people who actually come into your store, but I did not find that here. Went on my lunch hour and circled and circled the store looking for someone to help me. Found glimpses here and there and waited patiently for them to finish with their customer, only to find that they disappeared after. Looked for my book myself via a computer but it did not direct me where to find it. Had to go to the check out to finally talk to someone about helping me. Spent 45 minutes of my 1 hour lunch there. I usually order online but because I needed it as a gift for tomorrow, I went to the store. Never again!

Visually attractive store with lots of good merchandise. Book organization is confusing - too many different places to find one genre or newest item. Comfortable seating was removed so not senior or handicapped customer friendly. Very limited power access, in fact it is only available at the very back wall of the store and customers have to sit on rock hard wood or folding metal chairs or on the floor. Again, not senior or handicap friendly. WiFi is good and strong. Cafe lacks luster. Employees on the floor are overworked and often too busy, or they walk and talk so fast that seniors and handicapped customers cannot keep up. Parking is good and their hours are convenient.

Quick Starbucks service inside, and friendly service throughout the store. Good selection of books, journals, art supplies, gifts, and fun items. Overpriced as usual but what youd expect out of a Barnes & Noble. Kind of a small location but plenty of items for the hearty bookworm.

Great bookstore! They have a kids area and a large variety of books. There is also a Starbucks and an area to sit and read for a while. My only complaint is that the chairs are a bit uncomfortable.
