I visited the shop twice today, once for their Notary (there was a sign that said Notary by appointment) but we tried anyway and to our delight the young gentlemen let us know she was in. I did not get her name, but it is a family business and what a great experience. She was very quick and kind. I personally made an error and she let me know that if the paperwork was unacceptable due to my mistake, she would notarize new paperwork for free. Her price was HALF of any notary in the Davenport area!!! We met Nanuk (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) who is an adorable sleepy doggie. I stopped back again in the afternoon for a few DVDs and had a few questions about some jewelry. Even though I was not pawning or selling them he let me know that yes, they were indeed real etc. I read some of the negative comments and can only come to the conclusion that the writer of them was having a bad day, because what Ive experienced was total opposite- kind, friendly and not in a fake way..... they are amazing and their demeanor is customer first. They go above and beyond for ALL their customers. I highly recommend if youre in the Davenport area to stop in and visit their store. You wont be disappointed. In fact, youll feel as though you made a friend!!!!! To the owners: keep doing what youre doing, I personally think your whole family is down to earth, friendly and most importantly personable. Thank you for all youve done for me today. I will recommend your business to anyone and everyone I meet!!!!!

THIS REVIEW GOES FOR BOTH LOCATIONS I was going to use the Davenport location for a FFL transfer which was unsuccessful being as that their mailbox was full. (???) From the USPS side they cant deliver to a full box. I will quote the pawnshop owner in Lakeland when I spoke with him on the phone as saying, "The postoffice wont give me a key for that box. We go over and over it with them..." He suggested I speak with the post office about it and I said maybe an employee should. He snorted back saying they tried that before and the Post Office wouldnt give the mail the to an employee personally. I said that didnt make sense being the POST MASTER said someone affiliated could pick it up. We cussed at each other some more and he admitted he didnt even know were the Post Office was. I suggested Google maps. He then told me to watch my mouth and I cussed at him some more then he told me to drive to Lakeland in 20 minutes and we would discuss all this in a parking lot. I said I couldnt make it there it that amount of time (me being at the Davenport Post Office at the time) then told me to go back to my doublewide. Very pleasant conversation. I will never set foot in either branch again.

From the time I walked in the front door the owners son had a very nasty attitude. He said he was having a really rough morning because his seven month old baby kept him up all night. My thing is he let his personal life affect the way he runs his fathers business establishment. Im guessing because of his aggravation and lack of sleep the night before he had the audacity to try to convince me that my 22 karat gold chain was in fact 18 karat. Ive went to many other pawn shops and even pawned the exact same necklace before so I know for a fact it is 22 karat. He ended up getting so upset that he basically threw me out of the store due to his aggravation and trying to get over on me and me not having it. if this pawn shop was the last one of its kind in the world and I needed them to somehow survive I would rather die, that is how terrible I was treated just a few minutes ago. Also they are one of the very few pawn shops that pawn jewelry at half of the scrap value! DO NOT GO THERE, THEY ARE A VERY DISHONEST FAMILY OWNED ESTABLISHMENT....MOTHER, FATHER AND SON!

Sleazy people, will lie to you with a straight face and try to take advantage of anything you do or say. Dad and son seem bi-polar and have mood swings, especially when you call them out on their lie. Prices are unfair, but like any other pawn shop they will try to make it seem like you are getting a good deal, not saying it is an unethical behavior, just buyer beware warning. Do not take their initial kindness as a friendship offering, take it as they are trying to make you trust them so that they can rip you off easily. I have visited other pawn shops in area, and while most do not have that initial cozy feeling and friendship mood, they all provided me with better final experience due to greater transparency and more natural behavior from staff. If you are buying or selling, I would advise to shop around, or at least sleep on the deal(buying or selling).

Ive had several firearms shipped to this FFL without issue. The transfer fee is by far the lowest around and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are quick to get their FFL info over to the seller and call you immediately after your item arrives. Although I havent purchased a firearm from them directly, their prices are very competitive so Im sure Ill be making a purchase soon. Thanks to the staff at WCP&G for taking such good care of me! Very much appreciated.

Conveniently located on U.S. 27 just south of Posner Park shopping area, this locally-owned pawn and gun shop is ready to serve their customers. When I arrived there was an upbeat and fun atmosphere. I especially liked the fact the the owners are always around. Large selection of used items and they will buy items from you as well. The nice thing is that you can visit frequently since there are always new items coming in.

West coast pawn is an amazing business. They treat their customers like family. The environment is warm and welcoming. They are always willing to work with you if you need the help and are honest with them. I have purchased many items from this pawn and I have always I received a fair and honest price. I recommend many of my friends and family to come here all the time.

Once again. Tony and Marilynn went out of their way to please my needs. I needed a gift for my wife and boooom. They had just what in needed. The Davenport west coast pawn and gun is a owned and operated by these family oriented people and there son Josh. They are always knowledgeable about were you can find what your looking for if they dont have it.

DO NOT bring your gold here. Its their "policy" to only pay you half of what you would get from a corporate shop like Cash America. Id like to support a small business, but when I was only offered an offensive $10/gram for my gold, I had to walk out. The same piece yielded practically twice that ($19.50/gram) at Cash America.

BEWARE!! They only offered me $5.00 per ounce for silver bullion. The woman even said "$5.00 for one troy ounce bars". This is at a time when spot was $20.10. She tried to say that the "person they sell to doesnt pay very much". Way to pass the buck buy pretending its not their fault they are screwing everybody.
