Ive given this dealership a 1-star rating for the following reasons, which i believe justify the 1-star rating. I inquired about a 1999 Cadillac Deville, which I was told was a mechanics special. When asked if they could be more clear in that description, they said that it was possible that the header would need replaced, but thats all: the rest of the car was in great condition. As it turns out, the car had been sitting for a long time. By the time I had it delivered, I discovered that the battery was completely and utterly dead, the fuel filter was completely clogged, the fuel pump didnt work, and the AC compressor was leaking. When I called to ask the salesmen about these things, he sheepishly admitted to these conditions. To make matters worse, I received some condescending emails from one of the ladies at the dealership regarding the dead battery. Lastly, it has been two weeks since I purchased the car, and I still dont have the title yet. In short, this is the type of dealership YOU do not want to do business with, because "buyer beware" takes on a whole different meaning, and the consequences will be very unpleasant.

I live out of state from J. Linn Motors. They responded quickly to my Internet search inquiry. Because of the distance involved I had my daughter test drive the vehicle for me. They were very hospitable and accommodating to my daughter and the car was as described in their ad on line. Based upon my experience and hers I would recommend J Linn Motors. BTW: Finding good clean, reliable used cars at good prices is not easy, especially for smaller independent car dealers. Typically the nicer used cars are trade ins at big franchise dealers. So if anyone is disappointed by selection at these lots please keep that in mind. Also, these are used cars and even new cars have break downs, thats why they have service departments. Dont blame the dealer if your starter fails, water pump goes out etc. on a used car as no one is Nostradamus. Thanks J. Linn Motors from someone that spent 30+ years in dealerships in large metro areas I think you do a fine job with customer service.

Walked in to buy a Dodge Dakota. Really wanted to buy this truck. I had taken it for a test drive, and to my mechanic. I had a few minor issues with the truck, I brought the truck back, and had advised him on what the issues were and also was going to see if I could get the price down, since the truck was sold as is, J was going to take the truck to my mechanic to have the truck fixed for really cheap. The way this guy handled the situation was SO UNPROFESSIONAL, Im surprised they are still in business. OBVIOUSLY, he was upset that I wasnt some fool that wouldnt see he was selling crap cars and saying theyre good. He was mad that I found issues and wouldnt pay the rip off amount for the truck. He said "LEAVE MY OFFICE AND BUY A TRUCK ELSEWHERE!" I LEFT and PROUDLY bought a truck elsewhere! At least I know my money didnt go towards their business or their crappy cars. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE! If you do, cant say I didnt tell you so!

I went there after I just lost my 2010 car in water damage and didnt have full coverage. Im a younger girl so never really bought a car before the guy complete took advantage of me sold me a car for 4,700 when it was already priced 1000 over, I told him I literally had 5000 in my name. Therefore when I got home had to get new tires and some belt in the engine broke loose and I lost all my power steering. The guy said the car was priced over because of the ac and after 1 week the ac was Broken. Two weeks later the car engine completely went . Therefore I have no car and still no car and its been months. I tried to call to see if they would do anything and they said no and the owner wouldnt even call me back. I shouldnt of known from the start not to buy from there because the guy wasnt working with me at all but the car had low miles and thought it would be perfect . Literally screwed me over so bad and my life

Had a car I was interested in looked at by a mechanic that I know very well, and he told me the engine was nearly shot, and it needed plenty more small things done as well (brakes, tires) I didnt want to Invest that much time into it right away and fixing everything. So, I decided to look at another car and bring it back to my mechanic, this time it was the transmission! I told whoever this guy was working here, probably the owner about the issues with both cars, he was a complete jerk! I had money in hand and still was an a-hole to me! Anyone writing positive reviews on this place obviously works here or knows the owner personally (just to keep their ratings up!) And by the looks of almost everyone that wrote a review on this place had the same experience I had! Everyone cant be wrong! BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!! SELLING BAD BAD BAD CARS! STEALING MONEY FROM HONEST WORKING PEOPLE! GO ELSEWHERE!!

This is the first car ive ever bought for myself. I originally gave this place 5 stars as they were awesome day of. But after buying the car, I took it in for a full inspection and am now being told my my mechanic that Im not allowed to drive the car at all. Im looking at spending at least $3000+ to just make this car safe to drive. The brakes are a full safety hazard, the engine is pouring out oil, the wheel bearings are falling apart and many more things. I work full time and am going to college, I need a car and cannot afford to fix all of the things it needs. I am basically going to be in debt now because of this sales team. Was really hopeful about J-Linn as the staff seemed to be awesome, honest people. Turns out theyre just as bad as the reviews said they were.

I went looking for a vehicle at j Lynn motors and the guy there looked and smelled bad he was wearing a round gardening farm hat and he was all full of sweat and explained I was on disability and wanted to put two thousand dollars down and wanted to finance two thousand dollars for like a hundred and fifty dollars he said rude tough we only finance two hundred and fifty dollars a month and we dont care what you want or how your on disability or anything you dont like how the business is run then take it somewhere else and then he said we dont finance disabled people or want there business we just want real people with real money and cash that is not real nice for a buy here pay here so if you want a car go somewhere else you might even get treated better too

Have purchased 4 vehicles from this company and made 2 separate referrals. ALL the experiences have been great. I have always been able to articulate and voice any concern to the company if I had something to voice. In reality there have been virtually no real pressing circumstances where this was necessary. They allowed me to do my "due-diligence" before each purchase taking the vehicle to my mechanic...and found the vehicles they were selling were good buys and were in very good condition...body and drive-train. Would I recommend this company to someone else...Five-stars YES! Thank you staff and crew at J. Linn!
