If there was an option for no star i would use it. i went back to this particular pep boys a total of FOUR times, for the same problem: my AC wasnt working. The first trip there they quoted me $350, after having waited 3 hours for them to do the diagnostics. When i said go ahead and fix it, it took them another 8-9 hours to "fix" the problem. (making me leave my car there overnight). Conveniantly, upon "fixing" my AC, they found more problems with the AC than they had originally seen. So when i went to pick up my car (after me calling them asking if it was ready. and finding out it had been ready to be picked up for 3 hours, and them never calling me), i ended up paying nearly $700 dollars. Needless to say i wasnt happy about the almost double what they had originially told me. So the next day while driving, i made a turn and cold water poured onto my foot. Then i noticed it was doing it on the passenger side as well. Come to find out, they never put the hoses back together correctly. With living in Florida, wherever theres water, theres mold. I called Pep Boys and they said bring it in and theyll fix it, no problem, no charge. So i bring it back in, and they run ANOTHER diagnostic and of course, there is "so many things wrong" with not only my AC, but everywhere else in my car. How they didnt see the other problems with my AC the first time and didnt fix it then is beyond me. So after waiting another 3 hours for the at "diagnostic", they tell me they dont have the parts to fix my car, and they need to order them, which would be in 3-5 days. (estimated cost this time was $1,110) Okay, fine, whatever. I make an appointment for the following week (7 full days). Upon coming in that next week, after waiting an hour in the store, i leave to walk to a nearby coffee shop. Right when i get to the coffee shop, i get a phone call saying that the parts didnt come in. Why the hell they didnt bother to call and tell me this BEFORE waking up early on my one day off is beyond me. When i get back to the store, i tell them i refuse to pay for something that they should have fixed in the first place. especially after having to return numorous times. they agree to "fix" my AC free of charge. So i finally come back in another week later, and they have my car for 7 hours. After me having to call them to inquire its completion (who knows how long it was done) i go in, they give me my keys, and say have a good day. never gave me a receipt, a log of what they claimed to have fixed or changed. and now. 2 days later, my car is now broken down and smokes whenever i try driving it. needless to say. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PEP BOYS. the only thing they have going for them is louis and fransisco were very nice throughout the whole experience. but id rather have crappy customer service and a properly working car, than nice workers and a broken car, that had no previous problems other than the ac.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I made an appointment online for my rear brake pads to be replaced as quoted to me on my previous oil change appointment. When I arrived to check in the man started to check me in for an oil change until I asked about an online rebate I saw regarding brakes. He then goes "Oh, were not doing an oil change?" And I said no, thats not what I made the appointment for. If youre made to specify which service youd like online why is that not communicated into the system at the service center? I was then told that I would receive a call regarding the service. Fast forward 2 1/2 later, I receive a voicemail while Im in a movie. I call back as soon as my movie is finished and am put on hold for 7 minutes. After the ridiculously long wait Im quoted a price twice as expensive than what was quoted to me for the same service when they looked everything over during my last oil change. I decided to forego the service and to just pick my car up. When I arrive to pick up my car Im told its not ready. I explain that it didnt have any service done so I dont understand why its not ready. He said at this point all the tires are off from determining which services I needed (that were already noted in the system from my previous visit) and my car would not be ready until the morning as all of the mechanics had left 30 minutes prior. Infuriated at this point I ask to know why that wasnt communicated to me when I was on the phone with them 45 minutes ago as I have to be at work at 8:15 in the morning and the earliest my car could be ready was 8:00. They then have the audacity to tell me I didnt call back for 2 hours to which I explained yes, but I didnt receive any phone calls from them until 2 1/2 hours after I dropped off my car where I stated what service I wanted done. The man asks if anyone explained to me that it would take 2 hours to check everything and I said it was never communicated to me all I was told was that I would receive a phone call. Absolutely no solutions or alternatives were made to me by the employee and no apology for not explaining over the phone that my car would not be ready for pick up until the morning. The lack of communication and inability to be accountable for their consequences its absolutely appalling. It is safe to say I will never be returning to Pep Boys again for any type of service.

Got the delivery confirmation in E-Mail, called the store to schedule my installation. The store could not find the tires, I went over to the store and they finally found them in with another delivery and got an appointment made for the next day to get them installed. The installation took over 3 hours (just to replace my current wheels/tires with the new prebalanced, etc. ones I ordered). Shortly after I left a wobble developed in one of the wheels. I took the car back to my dealer (for routine maintenance) and they noted the problem as well and told me to go back to the installer. I went back to Pep Boys and they had "lost the record" of the wheels/tires ever being installed on my vehicle and would not look at the problem without me producing the receipt to prove they did the work. I contacted their customer care which had a 48 hour call back policy (it has now been over 60 hours and still no call back). I went to another recommended installer from this site who happily looked at the wheel, and upon taking it off found that the centering hub and clip simply fell out of the wheel. In less than 20 minutes they had fixed the shoddy workmanship that took much of my time from the other shop. Do not patronize, do not recommend. UPDATE: Contacted customer service, the store did not respond and I had to call back to get an update. After that call I was contacted by the store who still could not find any record of my car being serviced and offered compensation in the form of a free oil change. Why on earth would I be interested in them working on my car further after losing records on my previous (non invasive) repair. Thanks, but no thanks. I appreciated being reached out to but it certainly does not give me any more faith in this organizations quality of service or ability to service cars.
