When I purchased my brand new home it came with all the new appliances. I mentioned that I would like them upgraded to the builder and was told they came from Famous Tate and that I should call them. I was new to the area and very happy that they were willing to swap, give me full credit and within a day had my new kitchen appliances installed. Electrical surges have been a huge problem for us and since we moved in 15 years ago, I have had to replace my refrigerator 5 times!!! Over the years I shopped based on price and always went to Sears. Sears would beat Famous Tate by about $10 - $20 every time. But I since learned that Sears was no bargain. Every delivery or repair Sears would take days to deliver. Once my deep freezer went out and it took a week to get them out. I went and bought several coolers and bags of ice every day. It was horrible and I ended up loosing most of my food anyways. Sears installers would not fix problems with appliances, they would say I just install you have to call for repairs. REPAIRS on a new item???? That took days and becuase I signed I was stuck with a lemon, so if SEARS delivers a bad item REFUSE TO SIGN and make them take it away!!! Sears did not care that I was stuck with non working items for days while I waited to be put on their schedule. Finally I went back to Famous Tate where I was treated like I was Golden. Great knowledgeable sales people. Fast delivery. Oh, and When my drier went out and it was going to be 2 days before delivery - they delivered a "loaner" dryer so I could do laundry until my new one was delivered. NOW THAT IS SERVICE !!!!!!! My last purchase I selected and paid for an item that was out of stock in the warehouse. The salesman called and asked if I would be willing to take the next model up. He said it would be no extra charge !!!!! I took it. And I love it!!! I will never go back to Sears. I LOVE FAMOUS TATES !!!!!!!!!!!

Weve been searching for kitchen appliances for a while before our builder recommended we look here. I was pleasantly surprised after visiting! This store had a great selection and the layout of the store made it easy to browse and compare brands/appliances. I was VERY annoyed with the others stores I visited *cough* Best-Buy and Sears *cough* because I am harassed as soon as I walk through the door. Its obvious they work off of commission because they hounded me and pushed product after product on me which annoyed me so much I left the store without looking at everything! Here, the associate treated me like a person and give me the EXACT information I needed and was very knowledgeable. After speaking with us he was able to determine our needs/wants which aloud him to suggest appliances that he knew would be perfect fit for US and not just the highest ticket items. I never felt uncomfortable or felt that he was just trying to sell me anything. Awesome store, awesome staff. Im recommending this place to ANYONE looking for appliances. Also, CHEAPEST PRICES! Trust me, I looked.

We went into the store with the typical not really expecting much attitude. Nancy Medema greeted us at the door and we did the usual brush off. However, she spotted my husbands shirt & started talking to him about it. She followed us to the refrigerators & started explaining the different features & what was what. I am so very glad that she had that connection because she turned out to be an extremely knowledgeable person. She also showed us washer/dryers & double ovens. She helped us choose the best appliances for our needs and how we would use them, not just the most expensive. We left that day not buying but went back a few days later & put in our order for those 4 items because of Nancy. Customer service is so important these days and you usually do not find someone like her. She checked to see if there were any rebates available to us & also did price matching. She was very interested in getting us the best deal possible. I am a realtor and am telling ALL my clients to go see Nancy @ Famous Tate

Famous Tate Brandon - Very poor. Ran into problems replacing a built in that we bought seven years ago from Famous Tate. Told salesperson we did not want to have additional woodwork. New oven and trim kit too small leaving lots of woodwork to be done. They blamed us for giving them the wrong measurements although we bought the last oven from them and they had those measurements on file and our measurements have not changed. I realize things happen but having a kitchen complete with appliances from Famous Tate and just general customer expectations, I expected more. They told us it would work and we were left with a mess and a hefty woodwork bill. The salesperson told us he would pay for the repairs out of his personal paycheck (sarcastically). REALLY?? A business that prides itself on customer service being the reason to go there instead??????

I purchase a package from Famous Tate, they were delivered 2 weeks ago, the refrigerator had a factory defect running down the front of it. I declined to accept. I was told that I would have a new one the following day, I did get a new one with a 2" scratch on it which they tried to clean off with WD-40 right in front of me. I declined it.. They bring out a third refrigerator which had the same factory defect the first one had just a little wider I declined that one also. So two weeks after, I still do not have the fridge. No one has called me to find out whether I am going to keep the first one or am I replacing it. Customer service is not what you would expect form a place like this. Lets just say I will never shop there again.

At 2:30 p.m. on December 24th, 2016 I went to Famous Tate in Brandon. I had discovered our 12 year old oven had a fatal failure. The store had a sign posted that they would be closing at 3:00 as it was Christmas Eve. I told Jacob, the salesperson, my situation. I needed a particular slide-in stove which was not available in their showroom. He arranged with Bob, the Manager, for me to buy a freestanding stove and return it after Christmas for a full refund. The temporary stove worked great. The turkey was cooked to perfection in the new oven. After Christmas my wife and I returned to the store and ordered a new GE slide-in stove. Delivery and install was perfect. I cant thank Famous Tate enough for saving our Christmas dinner!

Instore staff were friendly and helpful. Order was painless, and Nancy was the best to work with. Received a call from the deliver person at 8am stating delivery would be between 11:30-1:30. 2 oclock rolls around, noone shows up. Called three times, different people say "Famous Tates" and hangup immediately. 4th time I spoke with a lady who told me to just "wait around" and delivery should be there by 6pm, but would call be back to see what the issue is. An hour later I called back yet again to "see what the issue is". Gentleman took my order #, and same sphil as I wished to cancel my order. As I left to pickup my kids at 3pm, the delivery driver showed up. Called a 3rd time and spoke with Bob to cancel my order.
