Very disappointed. I went in asking for a sporty pair of sunglasses that would be good for trekking. I said Id previously worn Maui Jim and Revo but had recently lost both pairs. The owner recommended Persol and said they were very good for sports. He said Persol were better than Revo. Two months later, I went on a trekking trip. The glasses are AWFUL. They keep falling off my face because there is no grip. I will never bring them on another trek and now have to buy another pair of expensive sunglasses. I went back to the store and two store employees said Persols are fashion glasses and are NOT sporty glasses and that the owner shouldnt have recommended them to me. Also, the owner charged me about $35 over MSRP - the manufactures suggested retail price - which is absolutely unheard of, and I learned after searching the Persol website that they are a very old style. Since the OWNER of the store completely mislead me AND overcharged me, I thought we could work something out for an exchange. I take very good care of my glasses and they looked like new. But the owner was completely inflexible with the return policy and very unfriendly. I purchased from Focus to support a local business but was burned big time. Next time I will just got to the Sunglasses Hut. I would not shop here again. Either the owner is completely ignorant about his products/brands or is intentionally selling people the wrong (overpriced) stuff so he can make a sale.

Great products...this is one of the top places to shop if your in DC..especially for women into classy purses...MCM..etc..Sam is one of the most knowledgeable owners in the business..if he does not have it he can order it...I read one review where a customer purchased shades for trekking. ..im not sure why he did not go to a outdoor store..but oh well..I just bought a pair of mens sneakers...that could not be found anywhere. ..so im giving the shop validation. ..and if your in DC...your crazy to not to at least bring your girl there...Focus..is my spot!

I called to possibly schedule an eye exam; however the person who answered the phone was incredibly unprofessional. She said, "Sweetheart, we dont do any eye exams here." Very condescending tone. When I replied, "Did you call me sweetheart?" She said, "Its Friday," and hung up. Baffling that anyone would talk to a potential customer this way.

I have been shopping at Focus for 20+ years and the owner Sam is very friendly, professional and keeps the hottest inventory of Frames. My wife loves to browse around the store while Im shopping eyewear because Sam also carries jewelry, handbags and other designer items on hand.
