I had an eye exam in mid-November. The doctor was pleasant, but seemed in a hurry to rush me through. In contrast to my prior prescriptions, she prescribed me correction in one eye but not the other, and did not verify during the exam whether this worked well for me. I tried using one-eye correction the next couple days and found that it worked very poorly for me. My vision in the uncorrected eye was blurry, and my depth perception was even slightly off. The next business day I called to ask that my prior prescription just be renewed since I can see very well with that one. The receptionist said she would mail that out right away, but after asking and learning that I didnt plan to order contacts through them quickly ended the call. I had to contact them two more times over the next month with increasingly firm requests to finally get them to send out the prescription. Meanwhile my contacts had run out and I was in the status of having paid on exam day for a deliverable (functioning prescription) that I had not received. I was relieved to get this headache behind me... but then mid-January I inexplicably received an invoice from them for another $50. The invoice was marked "60-90 days past due", never mind that this was the first invoice I received from them and that the amount I paid on exam day was presented to me as the full cost due. I am not impressed with this service experience.

This is my first review I have ever posted online. Sorry, but I would like to share my personal experience. I had an eye exam and it went fine. I liked the doctor. However, after asking twice if my insurance covered my exam and glasses (and was told “yes”) I found out later that it actually didn’t. The woman in billing failed to actually verify my coverage with my insurance company despite telling me twice that it did – i.e. at the exam and later when I picked up my glasses. So, I received a $150 bill from the office for the cost of my frames. What I learned later is that I would not had to pay this bill if I just waited two more weeks for my new insurance year. The woman made no apology for her error and insisted I just return the glasses if I didn’t want to pay for them and that I should work out the charges with my insurance company. When I went into the office to pay my bill she didn’t even look at me, took my credit card, and processed my bill. I left feeling completely unwelcomed or respected as a patient. I found another eye doctor, who actually verifies their patient’s insurance coverage, in the area. I will now be using them instead.

I went in for a routine eye exam to get new contacts (which I was completely out of). The doctor was timely, friendly, and helpful. I got my new contacts, wore them for a week and started having problems with the contacts sticking to my eyes--Ive worn contacts for years and never had this happen. I called back in expecting to have them look at my eyes, I made an appointment before work at 7am. I arrived at 6:55am, understanding they open at 7, and not only were the doors locked but the receptionist was sitting at the desk putting on make-up. After acknowledging me she continued until exactly 7am when she let me in. The doctor asked me who my last doctor was to get my old records. In and out in 5 minutes and he never looked at my eyes (fine). However, its been a month and they havent called me back. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone! Unprofessional, rude, and clearly dont know what they are doing! DONT GO HERE!

It took less than three months as a new customer for Corvallis Vision Center to permanently lose my business. I enjoyed the quality of care I received from Dr. Seitz, but feel that the owner lacks integrity. By breaking their word to me in small and petty ways, how can I now trust them with something as important as my eyes? The staff was also hostile towards me when I was forced to purchase glasses from an outside vendor due to workers comp. The receptionist, a gray-haired heavy-set woman with a professional smile, gave me dirty looks several times while I attempted to resolve issues when the glasses arrived incorrect. I am deeply disappointed in Corvallis Vision Center. Avoid.

This is my first time writing a review and doing so because this place, staff and doctors are the most wonderful people Ive worked with. The doctors are efficient, the staff runs smoothly, even new staff answered all of my questions correctly. Ive never had a problem with miscommunication or missed phone calls. Everything has always been done earlier than expected. Also, they make sure your insurance is figured out BEFORE you get there and tell you exactly what youll be paying. I cant say enough wonderful things about them, you wont regret seeing them.

Best eye exam ever! • No long wait, exam started 2 minutes after I arrived. • Quick and efficient pre-exam with all of the technological scanners, neat rotating setup. • Spacious and comfortable eye exam room (6 times larger space than the exam room at my previous place at Costco). • Thorough exam with Dr. Beisiegel and went the extra mile to and took plenty of time to explain some details about my retina scans that I wanted explained. • A huge selection of frames, without any high-pressure sales people.

Im surprised at some of the poor reviews Ive read. Ive been a patient for at least 25 years and have only had good experiences. Two of my visits were actually medical related and the proper insurance was billed for those visits. The only possible negative Ive noticed is that staff is professional but not necessarily warm and chatty. This may put some patients off but I enjoy the efficiency.

I have had nothing but fantastic service from Corvallis Vision Center and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for eye care. Dr. Beisiegel was very professional and also seemed to care about me as a person which is rare these days. My appointments have always been on time and I have never waited long for glasses or repairs.

Every one was nice. But I got my new glasses and cant see out of them they told me for 80 something more dollars they could put some coating on then. They were already $60 more the Costco. I wont be going back and now Im out all that money for glasses I cant wear.

After being a customer for about 30 years, I need to find another doctor because I was unable to schedule an appointment. Being put on hold for over 5 minutes and then disconnected, does not fit my personality or views regarding customer/patient service. Too bad!

Great service. I had no problem getting in for an exam. Dr. Danni Griffith was great, and worked with me to try out different contact lenses. When I found a type that worked for me, they had them in less than a week.
