My oldest daughter has been a patient there for several years so when my younger daughter needed her eyes checked, I automatically called the clinic. I tried for every school holiday so that she would not miss school...they never had a doctor in the office on those days. Then I just tried to make any appointment today for anything soon... I was left on hold for 10 minutes. When somebody finally answered I explained who I was and if they still accepted my insurance. She responded with "yes, but I am here with a patient..you will need to call back for an appointment." I asked if there was anyone else to help me as I was in need and on my lunch break..the reply was "no". Not pleased at all. Now I will find a new clinic for both of my girls.

The only good thing about this place is the doctors. The support staff is poorly trained which causes an absurd amount of miscommunication. Rather than say "Im not sure. Let me look into that", they will try to convince you that you are incorrect. They do so very rudely. They have attempted to overcharge me every time I have been here, and if I hadnt worked as an optician myself I wouldnt have know any differently. While waiting, I have heard them misquote prices to other patients as well, and those patients have blindly accepted the costs. Sadly, we have been left with no choice but to bring our business elsewhere.

I called on a Friday to schedule an appointment. The woman I spoke with said the earliest appointment they had was on Tuesday. I set up the appointment and left work early to make it on time. When I arrived they stated my appointment was scheduled for the following Tuesday. I told them that the woman I spoke with on the phone didnt say it was for the following week. They didnt do anything to rectify the issue, she just said "sorry" in a insincere one word sentence. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

As a new patient at the Salem Vision Clinic, I was able to make an appointment within a week or less. Zero wait time when I arrived at the office. Dr. Shannon was effecient and thorough. Great selection and the assistant helped in explaining my benefits to me. I picked out some beautiful frames and am excited about my new pair of glasses.
