My husband and I visited Gillette Furniture Consignment for the first time yesterday. When we approached the entrance, we said, "This is going to be expensive but lets look." The quality of the furniture and the design display all spoke of high-end (i.e. high price). As we examined the pieces and saw the prices, we confirmed the high quality but were delighted at how well-priced most pieces were offered for sale. As other reviews stated, there seems to be something for every taste and style. One of the things that made the visit different from other stores was the owner, Sheri. She is professional and knowledgeable about the pieces in her collection, which in itself is terrific. Add to that Sheris warm, transparent way of talking with with us. We felt like we found an ally in our search for treasures for our home - not someone who was after the sale. The other great thing about this store is the way items are grouped and displayed - not a thrift store piled atmosphere (We do shop those places, too.) - giving the impression of a fine furniture store. We left with a beautifully framed piece of art and a small wall decor item, but plan to be frequent visitors to find larger pieces adding personality and charm to our home. Nicely done, Sheri! Hi this is the most cutest store I have ever been in. The price was fair and right on. It seems as though the owner took the time to take only high end and in perfect condition clothes which is great. I want to be able to go into a consignment store and see high end and cute clothes and items that I normally would not be able to afford, but at a consignment store I can. Im not sure what the other lady (Jessica) was talking about when she said that the prices were high. Perhaps she herself should go to the good will and get the stuff for way cheap and the quality way down. Hello lady (Jessica) wake up this is a consignment store not MACYS. Everytime I have gone there the owner always greets me with hi or good morning etc can I help you with anything. Sometimes I need help and other times I just tell her that Im all set and just looking and she leaves me alone. She has always been very friendly and every time I go into her store she is always doing something to beautify the store inside and out. I have been to many consignment stores and have not found one as organized and clean as this store. If Jessica ever went into once upon a child she would change her mind. They have high prices for clothes that are stained and have pilling on them.

Ive been shopping here for almost two years for the following reasons: 1. The employees are helpful. You dont have to hunt them down for assistance and theyre knowledgeable. 2. Their prices are very reasonable. The owner is intelligent and knows the difference between value and price. If you are a buyer, you wont get ripped off. If you are a seller (consignee), youll get a good value for your product and it wont sit in the store for months... as Ive seen happen in West Hartford stores. 3. They have variety. If not found in your first stop, be patient and youll eventually find what you need. This store is constantly moving furniture in and out. They have antiques sitting next to nearly new furniture. That is why you need to stop by at least once a week. And dont go home to think about buying something you saw earlier in the day. I did that once or twice and returned to see a "Hold" or "Sold" tag on the item. 4. Delivery is quick, easy to set up, and the delivery people are clean.

I have been very pleased with my purchases from Gillette Furniture Consignment in Wethersfield (over the last several years). They sell quality home furnishings at very reasonable prices. Staff have always provided exceptional and friendly service. The store is very well organized making the shopping experience extremely pleasant They also carry new furniture too. I recently purchased a new sofa and love seat for my family room. This order included custom fabric and pillows - which I am pleased to also say were American-made. The furniture arrived in the estimated timeframe and delivery staff were professional and courteous. I am also proud to support a great local business. If you are in the market for quality furniture at good prices, this store should be on your short list. Inventory changes quickly so there are always many nice new things to see. A great place to shop.

Gillette Furniture Consignment in Wethersfield differs from all of the other consignment shops around in so many ways. The atmosphere is very welcoming of all people. It is bright and open. The showroom is huge and offers a variety of furniture options for all kinds of styles. Whether you are looking for vintage, shabby chic, traditional, modern, or country, they have it! The store offers many options as to what any customer may be looking for. They have sofas, loveseats, kitchen/dining room tables, hutches, coffee tables, end tables, console tables, servers, lamps, headboards, foot boards, dressers, chest of drawers, pie tables, office furniture and so much more! This store also has home decor! Inside it is not cramped or over packed and is extremely clean! I would recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention, the staff is very polite!

Debbie Siegel NO STARS! Debbie Siegel Very bad experience dealing with this consignment business. They picked up furniture, guaranteed a price and drove away without a signed contract. - also never informed us about the $25.00 pick-up fee. As items were already loaded on the truck they assured us that we would receive a contract shortly. They sold the piece for half of the agreed upon minimum without informing us. They have not been responsive. This is not about the money it is about practicing in an ethical and professional manner. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM! We were warned by several neighbors in South Windsor who also had very bad experiences with them, but we were in the midst of a move and in a vulnerable position. We are contacting small claims court out of frustration!

Best furniture consignment store in CT! The owner and staff are helpful and friendly. The selection is a great mix and excellent quality. I have bought my beautiful dining room set, antique vanity table and chair, leather couch set, and Tiffany style lamps from this store. I have also sold pieces there. Sheri is very selective and chooses only the best pieces to sell. The prices are very reasonable. I stop in there at least once a week and there are new pieces every time. If you see it and like it, you need to buy it. It may not be there when you return. If you have never been there, give it a try. I have always left satisfied!
