my experience with purching my jeep liberty in march of this year well fairly well, except for the fact that it has been back and forth to be serviced twice now in the past 7 weeks that i have owned the vehicle. a day after i drove it home the check engine light came on therefore i had to drive it back to the dealship which is 30 miles away from home when i was assured that the engine light was takin care of. it needed an 02 sensor. this past monday it would not start and had to be towed back once again, this time needed a crank sensor because the current one was corroded, on my trip leaving the service department 30 mins ago, it began to shake and almost break down immediately, leaving me to have to take a rental car home.now i have to wait on another diagnoses of what this problem can be and eventually have to take another trip back to the dealership. i have never been so dissatisfied with a purchase in my life and will never reccomend buying a used vehicle from this dealership considering they sell vehicles that clearly are not throughly checked out prior to selling. worse experience with buying a vehicle. i 100% regret buying this 2008 jeep liberty from torrington ford!

I dont make it a habit to fill out reviews,but the service team went over and above getting my truck in and serviced for me this week.I bought my new ford though Rich Decker and Mark Hoxie .They made the experience painless,my truck fits my needs and doesnt break the bank doing it.I wanted to thank the people at Torrington Ford because this is the second time they have gotten me right in and right out.The first time, a break line broke on my wifes suv and we needed the car fixed quickly. John and Steve had the car done in hours not days.I was shocked when the car got towed at 11am and at 2pm the same day they called and said "all set". They had never seen this car before, it was bought used at another dealer ship. The serivce people went out of their way to take care of my problem,when they could have said 2 or 3 days which I was expecting, like most auto shops.Torrington Ford is top shelf in my book. My father always said treat people the way you would like to be treated, but they treat me better than that."do you call a mechanic when everthing is working well in your car"?Thanks again Torrington Ford ,your people really make the difference. Everyone wants the new 5.0, including us "40 something" kids, so when I read the specs and HAD to have one I figured I would try our "neighborhod" Torrington Ford dealer first. I met with Rich, the Internet Sales Manager and it was a pleasant, no preasure experience. We drove a demo car, sat down and did some pricing. I told Rich that I needed to clear this with my wife first and to my amazement, no BS in trynig to make me "sign now". Of course he suggested it but if he had not done at leaat that he would not be doing his job. I walked out, had the weekend to think about EXACTLY what I wanted in the car and went back on Monday. Why would I go someplace else when I was treated right? If you want a GT see Rich, he knows these cars. One last thing about the issue the gentlemans review below that describes "no contact via email". Either that issue was a one time fluke or Torrington Ford took this persons complaint to heart. I have contacted Rich late in the evenings with minor changes to the car and he always responds quickly and at times when no one should be working.

I recently brought my 2010 Mercury Mariner to this dealership because the airbag light had come on. The service department had me bring the car in twice and each time they gave me a bunch of smoke and mirrors and not one solid answer about why they could not fix it. They said that the module was faulty and sending wrong codes. When I asked the if it was under warranty they said yes. They refused to fix it and when I asked if there was anything that I could do or am I sol they simply said "it seems that way". I gave them every opportunity to do the right thing and every time it went nowhere. Then they had the audacity to try and charge me for ordering the replacement part. Could not be more dissatisfied.

You will not find a better dealer in the state!!! These guys are great. They resolved an issue that I was having with a used car and turned a horrible experience into one of the most positive experiences I have ever had. I have bough 5 cars from this dealership and must say that their customer service is second to none. Ron Laplante and Bob White followed through and kept me informed. Lou Battistoni could not have been a bigger help. My hats off to these guys. I highly recommend giving this dealership a chance to earn your business you will not regret it! No I do not work for the company I am just a very satisfied customer! Thanks again Torrington Ford and Lincoln!

I was recently in the market for a used car and decided stop in to to Torrington Ford. It was my first time there so I was a little nervous like all car shoppers are walking into a dealership. The place has a very homey feel and you do not feel intimidated. I was promplty greeted and after that it was just plain easy. It felt like I was talking to friends and instead of buying used like I had started out with, I was able to get into a brand new car at the same payment and at the same 60 months. Thank You Torrington Ford for the great service and for getting me into my first new car. I will tell all of my friends and family where to shop!!

The best local dealership for Ford/Lincoln products. The sales staff is extremely knowledgeable on product and selection was awesome! No other dealership in the area had the features and price that Torrington Ford provides. My 2011 Lincoln MKZ with 30k miles was just like buying a brand new Lincoln. Price could not be beat from anywhere else. Mark Hoxie provided the options based on personal needs, and Rich Decker took extreme care in finalizing and personalizing the deal. I have bought 6 cars from this dealership and there is NO other dealership I would consider. Customer for life. Beat that Litchfield and Lombard!

I have never had such an easy, smooth, hassle-free car buying experience. My husband and I kept expecting "ok, NOW is when theyll lay it on us" and they never did! No hard sell, no pushiness. They happily waved goodbye when we said we needed to think about it, no comments about incentives expiring soon or not many cars being left. Got a GREAT price without unpleasant arguing, and the car is AWESOME. Rich answered all our questions and Tom made sure the financial side of it was straightforward. We will definitely be bringing our vehicles there for service and be getting our cars there in the future.

SUPER RESPONSIVE, fast, intelligent, helpful. My salesperson was down-to-earth and knowledgeable Rich Decker. I absolutely love the Ford Connect Transit as a short older woman - I can get in and out, and see over the dash, and steer easily, even with the long wheelbase. This will be the best vehicle for me for camping without frills. Something of an impulse buy on the last day of 0% for 72 months. Happy with the price I paid too.
