I test drove a car from Joey on Wednesday, it drove great and seemed like a good deal. Booked it in with my mechanic on Thursday for a pre-purchase inspection and everything checked out. Brought the car back to Joey, settled on a price and told him Id be back on Friday. Had my wife drive me to the bank, picked up cash based on the price discussed, and had her drop me off at the dealership. Halfway through doing the paperwork I noticed that the price was not what we had discussed the day before. Joey sort of freaked out and said there was no way he would have agreed to sell the car for what he told me the day before. Said hed rather pour gas on it and burn it to the ground than sell it for that much... and threw plenty of other colorful language my way in the process. He did agree to split the difference on the price, which would have been a totally fair deal for the car, but the way he handled the whole discussion was such a turnoff that I walked out. I told him I didnt appreciate being yelled at or sworn at, and he said it was his place and that he could do whatever he wanted to. At that point, I left, even though I wanted the car. There is just no way I could do business with somebody who handles themselves like that when a customer is there, with cash in hand, to buy a car.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I wanted to buy an all wheel drive vehicle so I did my research and checked all the sites and they all agreed that the vehicle was worth 3 grand less than he was asking, so I went in with intent to haggle. When I did he insulted my intelligence, and tried to make me feel bad because I "could afford it", it wasnt in my price-range". Now I didnt have a price range. It wasnt about how much it cost it was about how much it was worth. When I told him about the kbb value he took me into his office(the whole place smelled like pot, there were a variety of scented candles lit so it may have been the mix of scents) and said that banks dont go by that and brought up a different site. So when I wanted to get serious about negotiating he said it was a consignment and he didnt even know what the person wanted for it. I told him my offer and said for him to call me. He never did so a week later I called him he said hed have to call me back and he never did. I truly dislike this person which sucks because I REALLY wanted the car. So now Im gladly paying 12000 for the same car 4 years newer with heated seats and navigation because thats what the vehicle is worth.

First of all, the first 5-star review below is from the owner himself, not an authentic review. Do not buy a car from Joey at Auto North Vermont. He comes across at first as being charismatic and funny, but as soon as he has your money he flips. He sold us a car that had bald tires (we should have noticed that one). Then the sunroof stopped working. After more time went by we got the car inspected and found out the head gaskets were bad, leaking oil and antifreeze... according to 2 other mechanics it was an issue long before we bought the car. The results were catastrophic to our engine. When my husband went to talk to Joey to about this he snapped and yelled at my husband, told him to get off the property. He got in my husband face, yelled insults at him and told him to get our "un-inspected, illegal car" (yes the one HE sold us) off his property. Please for your own good, take our advise and do not buy from this man. We paid 5K for the car, but in one years time we have spent an additional 3K in repairs that any honest salesman should have informed us about at the time of purchase. We wish we would have read the previous review before we bought our car.

I tried to purchase a vehicle from the owner. I spotted the vehicle on Craigslist and gave him a call. After explaining my situation i made an offer. He accepted the offer and we began discussing how to make the deal. I was in mass so it was quite a distance to drive. I had issues with my current car and sold it to fast so i could make this deal. After repeated calling and having my calls transferred to voice mail i called from other phones. He answers makes some bullish it excuse, puts me on hold and hangs up or just leaves it. Im desperate at this point as i do not have a car to get to work. I keep calling... Eventually he decided to answer, we are at day 3 now. He says he shipping the car to my area for auction. I can meet him there to pick up the car. Says he will call back with the info... I should have expected this by now that this was some twisted game. He never calls me back and never picks up my calls so this option he proposed end up delaying my search for a different vehicle. I have never been treated like this from anyone and i still dont know why. I would never consider doing business with this company especially the owner.

Auto North Vermont, let’s start with thank you. Best experience I’ve had in car buying in my life. This staff was polite, helpful, and more. From the paperwork to handling DMV and the bank, I have never had such an easy and delightful experience; all I did was arrive, look at cars and pick. No matter my wallet, these folks wanted to help and were certain I was satisfied with everything from the car to taking care of the usual bureaucratic nonsense we all go through when getting a car; they made my buying experience easier, and given today’s financial situation all the help and extra care for my convenience means more than I can say. Thank you Auto North Vermont, professionals among amateurs, I and my family will be back for more. YOU ARE THE BEST and I wish you all the best for your business, may you be in business as long as I and my family needs cars.

My parents drove an hour and a half to see and test drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee that this so called dealership had for sale. They, like anyone else ever that wants to buy a car, wanted to look underneath to see if it was clean, free of rust etc. The owner/salesman from that point became rude, belligerent and insulting, stating that the Blazer that they wanted to trade was a piece of junk, he wouldnt take it and wouldnt even pay $200 for it. Of course hes wrong, and was completely in the wrong, how dare he!!! He was hiding something Im sure... Do not waste your time and do not buy from this place! What a crock.

Bought a Tundra from them last year. Headed back to buy another car soon. What you see is what you get from this dealer. Like any used car, look closely and know what you are buying. That being said, good place to get a quality used car.
