Tractor Repair...I had a problem starting my tractor this year so I called and they said bring it on down. When I got there they told me they were all backed up and it would be 2-3 weeks. They should have told me that on the phone. Well 3 weeks went by so I called and was told it would be ready in the 4th week and that I was annoying them by calling to check on it. Well 5 weeks went by so I called again, NO RESPONSE from my voice mail so after 2 more days I called the owner. He never called back either even though I left a message that I was annoyed. Well a few hours later they called and said it was done. When I picked it up NOTHING was said about the delay. I truely felt like I was annoying them!! Never again!!

A little pricey, like most smaller hardware stores but its right in town and they have a good selection. Staff during the week is awesome! Weekend staff is horrible. Typical teenager /young employee mentality - they want you in and out so they can go back to socializing with each other, cant answer questions or give blow-off answers to try to get rid of you. Nevertheless sometimes you just have to go to the hardware store on weekends. Typically closed Sundays in winter.

I went in on Sunday March 26, 2017 to Chatfield carrying a bathroom sink with two badly corroded faucets that I couldnt remove. I was hoping to buy a tool to take off the faucets. Charlie spent 45 minutes helping me to remove the faucets from the sink. I wanted to pay him for his time and help but he wouldnt take any money. What a wonderful family run business this is. I highly recommend Chatfield.

I was able to rent everything I needed for a party from Chatfield in Southbury. Everything was clean and beautiful. The service was great. Chris and Joe were extremely helpful. I recommend and will be using Chatfield for all my party rentals in the future.
