From what my husband experienced they have lack of follow-through in their customer service department (perhaps you have to actually live in Ridgfiield to get recognized???) He purchased an expensive pair of sneakers this past September and they started to tear on the bottom and on the toe area. Can understand if he were doing toe dancing like a ballerina but give me a break!!!! He brought them back 2 weeks ago to obtain a new pair or refund. Owners said they would have mfgr ship out immediately and that he would have a new pair by end of week. Last week he called again saying NO delivery as promised. The owners were going to check on the tracking to see where/if the shoes were out and on their way and that they would get back to him. NO contact from owners on the tracking/wear the sneakers are. I have watched this for 2 weeks now and as my husbands wife I am appalled on how this is being handled. NO contact from store, NO Shoes. These sneakers are still falling apart and my husband has been gluing them. I told him to take them back before he gets the new sneakers OR (if he ever gets the new pair because I understand from the store owner that the manufacturing was very busy with some marathon. Not a good answer or customer service. Ill remember this. My husband may be more kind-hearted than I am but I believe in good customer service and they are not making the mark at all! Satisfaction -- want a call back from owners and want our money back. Its one thing these pair are apparently LEMONS but we are shocked on how we are being IGNORED!!!!

unbelievably good owner-runner store. guy runs about an average dudes pace, 8min miles, too. will literally give you a shoe if he trusts you to pay (ie he knows you or youre already buying something with a credit card). encourages you to come back weeks after buying a shoe if u dont like how it runs. wont carry generic brands if theyre junk (the big ones are these days). can fill you in on practically everything and anything running shoes. ask him about the lawsuit against vibrams toe shoes, how cloud runner made the shoe, whos behind altra, etc etc. hes got big name brand shoes cut up to show you how their shoes are all the same, brand to brand, model to model. I practically went for a run trying on shoes. bought both of them. its the kind of store that will pass on when the owner leaves, like art, something special, big box and chain stores have nothing on this guy, even if they can stock up on every shoe (and then pay some employees a few bucks an hour, so they have tons of incentive to learn about the shoes).

If you live in the area or even within an hour of it, it is worth the drive! Mark is a shoe genius. A running veteran. A shoe veteran. He knows every shoe store and their owner in Manhattan and probably the east coast. He has had every injury you can have minor and major so he knows what he is talking about. I find I get more comfort from him than I do from my own foot doctor. Go see Mark and buy whatever he tells you to buy and do whatever he tells you to do.

I brought my son to Kilometers by advice from his doctor which was over 45 mins away from my house. It was one of my best experiences ever that me and my son could have had. Mark explained every thing to my son regarding running. If I could go over 5 stars I would have.
