Any positive reviews about this store are most likely Best Buy employees with fake Google accounts. I spent appx. $1,200 dollars in car stereo equipment and labor for installation. Normally I like to do this stuff myself, but I had a nice Acura, and I wanted it done professionally & have their "guarantee" or "warranty" BS...So I walked across the lot to the movie theater, and while I was watching a movie, they called, so I ran outside and they told me that and they said that they mounted the tweeters in the door, which I didnt want. Long story short, they drilled 1 1/4 inch holes in my doors without asking my permission...plus, the steering wheel blocked one of them, and anybody that knows anything about audio knows that high frequencies should have a direct path to the listener. THEN, I got in my car, and it started snowing...So I attempted to roll the window up, and it wouldnt. They broke my window, or at the very least, knocked it off the track. I was stuck with a partially open window for months. The store manager at the time (several years ago) told me to get an estimate and he would reimburse me. So I got the estimate, and I attempted to contact him almost daily for a couple months. He was obviously avoiding my calls and had his staff tell me that he was on vacation. When I finally did get a hold of him, he said that it was my fault for not getting back to him sooner and that I would have to take him to court if I wanted my money. The entire experience was AWFUL!!!!!! I was so angry for so long that I wanted to do something illegal to cause them thousands of dollars worth of damage just like they did to me. The entire experience with that was EXTREMELY unprofessional, discourteous, and downright INSULTING!!!! Ive had extreme contempt and disdain for this store ever since. Other Best Buys have decent ratings on here...Why is Danburys so damn TERRIBLE!!!!!! Not to mention, Im a PC Technician, specializing in networking, A/V, alarms, basically everything. From what Ive read in other reviews, THEY ARE CORRECT!!!! They will tell you that you have liquid damage to a laptop thats under warranty, when in fact I could just open up the machine and pull out one RAM module to find that it was fried from ESD (electro-static discharge) Terrible management. Absolute THIEVES!!!!

Im attempting to be very detailed and thorough with this review since this was literally the worst retail experience I have ever had in my 27 years, and would seriously advise anyone to go anywhere else. My girlfriend and I went into this location with the intent to simply browse car stereos. After 35 minutes we finally had help and was directed to a stereo he thought would work well in our Civic. Stereo cost $129.99. Install was $100. I from the start did not want Best Buy to install it, since the price of install is practically the price of the deck we had picked out. After going on about his 12 years (joke) experience I agreed on letting them do it. The whole bezel that the deck is in isnt even flush after getting into the car, this should have been my first inclination they screwed it up. She, my gf, decided it wasnt a big deal and to let it go. That evening the climate controls arent lit up at all. After 3 trips, and having to make an appointment the horrendous tech gets the car into the bay to fix. Takes it apart and begins to tell me I have a bad board and I have to go to Honda and get it replaced. The car is an 04. After fighting with him on how his theory on it being a "coincidence" that the day he works on my car the board is bad after the lights worked every day prior since new. I said I want to return it, he said he could only refund the equipment and not the labor. Now Im tight. The labor was done completely wrong by a complete moron and then he refuses to refund me for his crap job. The previous reviews are all correct. This store is full of morons. Your better off YouTube-ing a how to and attempt it yourself. Thee worst business practices of seen in any of the 7 states Ive been in. I cannot stress this enough.

I have never posted a review online but after my experience at Best Buy today I felt that I had to. My brother and I went to buy a new iphone in the electronics department and we were treated horribly. I dont know if they were judging us since we were younger or if they really were just lazy. After them rolling their eyes when we walked in, they asked what we wanted to buy. After we stated we wanted an iphone the samsung salesman was very persistent in figuring out why we chose the iphone. He wasnt curious as to why, he was just wanting to be very rude and condescending. Once that conversation was over, we were assisted by a young man named Casey who also was miserable. There was a misunderstanding (that was easily resolvable) and he rolled his eyes at the fact he had to handle it. He was constantly rolling his eyes at my brother and I. My brother and I have worked in customer service for many years and would NEVER treat customers the way we were treated today. I am a very easy going person and try not to give anyone a hard time, but these men (boys I should say by the way they were acting) are miserable and I would suggest not wasting your time being treated horribly by these people!!!

I went to the geek squad for help with crashed laptop. They told me my hard drive was bad and it would be a $70 diagnostic fee plus parts and labor. So I bought a $400 Toshiba laptop. Then I had to wait an hour in line just to ask geek squad to transfer my old data to my new laptop. They called me 2 days later and said everything was transferred and ready to be picked up. The geek squad hands me the WRONG COMPUTER WITH ALL OF MY DATA ON IT. After 20 minutes of frantic searching they could not locate the Toshiba laptop I had purchased. The Toshiba laptop had left the store with another customer. They assured me that my data was not on that computer but I dont believe that. I had to wait ANOTHER 2 hours while they re-transferred my data to ANOTHER computer. I am not only extremely upset that I wasted hours of my time but I am very concerned that all of my personal information is floating around on some strangers new laptop. Geek squad was very unprofessional, disorganized and a total embarrassment to the Best Buy brand. I will NEVER step foot, into or shop at another Best Buy again.

I went to best buy to have a pair of speakers put in my car. One of the auto tech guys said that an amplifier would make the speakers louder because the factory settings limit the volume. I had the amplifier installed and there was a horrible ticking noise coming from the speakers so i had to make another appointment to see what the problem was. They then tried telling me the only way to fix this is to buy a new head unit for the car. This is not what i had intended on doing i like the way the factory radio looks. They said they would take it out to take away the noise. I come to pick up my car for the second time and they will not refund me the money for labor. Their excuse was the labor was not the problem. I will never go back to another best buy ever. They should back up there work and products.
